Can you imagine being trapped? Being tethered to one place, unable to ask for help, or even to communicate with anyone, to alleviate the crushing loneliness?

This is now Rachel Monroe's reality, after a fun night out ends in an act of shocking violence, which binds her to the childhood home she had tried so hard to escape. But when the building is turned into a bed and breakfast, she begins to hope that maybe someone will finally notice her.

Another violent act, and a seemingly insignificant item, turn her hope into reality, when a near-death experience allows one of the inn's rock-star guests to not only see her, but to actually communicate. As she and her newfound friends try to unravel the mystery of Rachel's imprisonment, an unconventional relationship begins to develop, but will the truth of what happened set her free, or force one of them to join her?
