The Girl With The Dragon's Blood

I quickly put on my blankly clueless expression. "I don't know what your talking about Purdy boy." I said as convincingly as I could. Obviously Ashley wasn't buyin it. "That's bullshit Tora. You've been avoiding me all day. Clinging to Cc and Sammi and Jinxx. What the hell is going on?" He asked seriously. I noted that this whole time he hadn't released my waist an was holding me there with both hands now. The closeness was causing me to have a hard time concentrating. I sighed and closed my eyes. "Look Ash. Just leave it alone. I just. Can't. Be around you right now." I told him quietly. I tried to pull away but Ashley tightened his grip on my waist preventing my escape. "I won't leave it alone. Why can't you be around me? What did I do Tora?" He asked. I ground my teeth together. I was obviously going to have to turn into a bitch to get out of this situation. I steeled myself and looked into his eyes coldly. I yanked away from his arms. "Just leave me alone Ashley. I don't want to talk to you. I don't even want to be near you. I have my reasons and your just going to have to live with it." I said coldly shoving him slightly for effect before walking out of the kitchen into the living room. The whole time I was fighting off the sick feeling I had in the pit of my stomach because of the things I said to him. I could feel him staring at me but I ignored it and sat next to Cc. They had put in a movie but I couldn't focus on it. I stared blankly at the screen and tried my to feel Ashley's burning gaze on my face. He had sat on the other side of Cc and was focusing on me. I could feel Cc getting uncomfortable next to me and Sammi and Jinxx were watching me to. After awhile I couldn't stand it any longer. I jumped off the couch and mumbled something about school tomorrow before running up to my room and falling into my bed. Soon after I succumbed to sleep. I woke up the next morning to my alarm clock. I quickly put on a pair of dark shorts and a black tank top with a leather vest that had the black veil brides logo on the back. I put on a pair of shoes and grabbed my bag for school deciding to leave my hair down. I walked downstairs to see Jinxx up making coffee. He was usually the only one up this early. I said hello and then told him to tell Sammi I was taking my corvette to school today instead of her car. I desperately needed the speed therapy. He nodded an I walked out the door and slid into my car. I pressed the button to roll the top back and then revved the engine before tearing out of the driveway. I drove aimlessly and far above the speed limit before finally makin my ways towards school. I pulled into my parking space and rolled the top back up before climbing out and locking the doors. I turned around and saw a large group of people staring at me. I shrugged before walking inside the building. The day went fairly normally until the girl that had attacked me on my first day came up to me. She sneered in my face. "Ready for another ass whooping?" She said raisin her fist. I smirked before grabbing her hand in mine. Now that I didn't have to worry about control I could stand up for myself. "Look dear. I really don't want to have to hurt you. The first time you came at me I couldn't fight back because of certain inhibitions. But they are no longer present and I will gladly lay you flat on your blonde preppy ass if you so much as fucking look at me wrong bitch." I snarled at her with a smile. She glared. "Bitch your all talk. You can't do shit to me." She said smugly. I rolled my eyes before shoving her back and turning to walk away. She ran up behinds me and tried to hit me in the back if the head. I bent foreword so that her fist flew above me. When it passed I stood up straight and turned slowly to look at her. I smiled an started laughing at her. She glared an the charged me. I easily dodged her then grabbed her by her hair wrapping the long blonde locks around my hand. I bent her over backwards and hit her in the face twice then I stood her back up. She turned around and her nose was bleeding. She ran at me again but I clothes lined her. She lay on her back on the ground gasping for air and I bent down over her face. "I told you not to fuck with me little bitch." I said before standing up straight and walking away. When I went to lunch I sat on the ground in the picnic area. I was enjoying the sunshine when someone stood over me. I looked up and saw a boy. He had black short hair and green eyes. He smiled down at me and then sat beside me. I stared at him with an eyebrow cocked in question. "Hi I'm Riley. Your Tora right?" He asked in a deep voice. I nodded slowly. He grinned again. "So I just wanted to come over here and introduce myself properly. I'm Riley Tomas. I'm a junior here and also the quarterback of the football team." He said. I raised a skeptical brow. Was that supposed to impress me? "I'm Tora Doll. I'm a junior and a residential nobody." I said shrugging. He smiled and then started trying to talk to me. He kept telling me I was pretty and blahblahblah. I could tell he was trying to play me but then I thought I could use him to my own advantage. After thinking about it I started conversing with him and acting like I was really interested. As lunch past I ended up asking if he wanted to hang out after school. He agreed and told his friends that he wouldn't be riding home with them. After the school day ended he met me in front of the school and we walked towards the parking lot. He automatically veered towards the girly cars like the vw bugs and cutesy cars. I smirked before leading him to my corvette. When we reached it he stood and stared at the vehicle. "Damn girl. This car is fucking awesome! Do you think I could drive?" He asked. I couldn't help but laugh. "Sorry doll but that's a hell no. I don't let anybody but me get behind the wheel of my baby. Now get in." I said unlocking it and sliding into the car and rolling the top back. I put on my sunglasses and waited for him to get in. He slid in and practically melted into the leather seat. I smiled and revved the engine before leaving the school. I went the speed limit so I didn't scare the poor boy. I turned on my radio and a sleeping with sirens song was on. Riley got a look on his face and moved to change the station. I took one Han off the wheel and grabbed his before he could touch my radio. "Sorry doll. But you don't get say on music. This is a good song." I said. He pulled his hand back and looked at me. "You actually like this crap?" He asked. My eyes narrowed. Without thinking I pressed the accelerator and sped up. Riley's eyes widened. "Doll this isn't crap. And yeah I like this music in case you didn't notice my vest." I said lowly. His eyes widened again. "Sorry I wasn't thinking about it. This music is okay I just don't generally listen to it." He said trying to redeem himself. He was obviously trying to pull me into some game but he was only going to serve as a pawn for me to get Ashley off my back. But he didn't need to know that. As long as he kept Ashley away I could put up with the prep. /You may have your little plaything. But wether you accept it or not Ashley is to be our mate./ Takira said. I sighed. 'Will you just let me deal with this my way for now?' I asked angrily. I hadn't realized it but I had sped up to my speed therapy speed and Riley was looking pale beside me. "Umm Tora. Could we please slow down?" He asked shakily. I eased of the accelerator and soon pulled into the driveway. Riley got out and stood shakily. He looked a little green. "Don't worry doll. The queasiness will go away in just a second." I told him. I rolled up the top and stepped out of the car locking it behind me. I pulled Riley inside. I had him by the arm but was instantly pulled away from him when I opened the door. Cc had me on his shoulder. He was yelling that he missed me all day. "Cc I was at school. It's not like I've been away for a year." I yelled giggling. He set me down and then looked behind me. Riley was standing in the doorway looking on blankly but I saw a hint of anger in his eyes. "Riley this is Cc. Cc this is Riley. He's a friend from school." I said. Riley hid his anger and shook Cc hand. It was then that I realized the over excited drummer was shirtless. I sighed and rolled my eyes. I set my bag down and then pulled Riley into the living room. Everybody was sitting around watching some movie. They hasn't noticed me yet. Sammi and Jinxx were sittin on the couch along with Andy and jake. Ashley was sittin in the large chair upside down. I ran into the living room and pounced on the couch laying across Jake Andy Sammi and Jinxx. There was a collective groan and I happily yelled I was home. I got off of their laps and then introduced them all to Riley. All of them smiled and shook hands with him except for Ashley who studiously ignored him. I asked Riley if he wanted something to drink and he nodded. He followed me into the kitchen. "So you live in this house alone with all of these guys and only one other girl? What do your parents think of that? Or do they even know?" He asked. I rolled my eyes and handed him a bottle of water while I pulled three monsters out of the fridge. I finished one off and then looked at him. "Sammi an Jinxx are my parents. So yeah they know and trust me. Living in a house with a bunch of guys is actually really awesome." I told him. His eyes widened. "So that couple out there are your parents? How could they want this for you?" He asked. I pierced him with a glare. "Yeah they are my parents and this life is mine. They are happy for me because I'm happy." I told him coldly. He immediately started to apologize and say he didn't mean it. I rolled my eyes and chugged my other two monsters before pulling out another one. "You know those things are really bad for your health right?" He asked. I outright laughed at that. "Doll. I've done a lot more dangerous things then drink to many monsters." I said before pulling him back into the living room. We put in the first Pokemon movie and I sat in between Cc and Riley. About halfway through I started getting tired and snuggled into Cc's side out of habit. But before I could fall asleep Riley pulled me up over to his side. I rolled my eyes but let him do it. As long as Ashley left me alone and ignored me like he had been since I got home I could deal with this. /Be careful. I sense something changing./ Takira told me. I heeded her but soon fell asleep on Riley. I unwillingly woken up by whispering above me. "Dude. I don't care how uncomfortable you are. Do. Not. Wake. Her. Up. If you want to move then you better find a way to do it without waking her." Cc whisper yelled. "Dude she's just a little girl. Nothing I going to happen if I wake her up." I heard Riley reply. "Don't do it!" I heard Cc say just before there was somebody shaking my shoulders. I growled lowly and cracked my eye open. Riley was shaking me telling me I needed to get up. I sat up slowly and glared at him. I was reaching out to choke him when Cc grabbed my arms. "Somebody bring me a monster now or I will blow up this muther fucking house." I said lowly. Jake was already walking towards me with one in his hand. I snatched it away and chugged it in five seconds. I shook the rest of the sleep from my head and then glared at Riley. "Why'd you wake me up?" I asked. He was looking at me strangely. "We'll it's almost nine at night and I have to go home." He said. I quirks am eyebrow and started laughing. "Do you really want me to drive you home right now?" I asked with a hint of anger in my voice. Andy stood up and put a hand on Riley's shoulder. "Let me answer that for you dude. I will drive you home because you don't want to be in the car with her right now." He said. Everybody nodded in agreement and they left. I didn't even bother walking up to my room. I just settled sleepily back into Cc's side. I heard him sigh and then I was being carried. I looked over Cc's shoulder one last time before he took me upstairs. I caught Ashley's eye an thought I saw his eyes flash red. I shook it off and then fell back asleep before we were even in my room. The rest of the week went relatively smooth. Riley came over every day and he learned that you don't say anything about my music or my family nor do you wake me up. After he learned these things we got along fairly well. Ashley was ignoring me so my plan was working pretty well. Takira and I had an uneasy feeling though. Something was changing. We didn't know what but something in the air felt different. When Saturday came around. Riley and I decided to spend the day together at my house. The day passed fairly uneventfully. We basically watched movies. But then about halfway through the day Riley caught me completely off guard. He kissed me. Full on the lips. With no warning. Everybody stared at him with shocked eyes. Jinxx was positively fuming and I was just downright confused. I was about to push him off when I heard a deep guttural growl. One that didn't come from me. I turned around and saw that Riley had kissed me the same time that Ashley had walked into the room. Ashley's eyes had turned a terrifying shade of red and he was shaking. I put all thoughts out of my mind and Takira and I focused on Ashley. Our breath hitched. In the time that we had been ignoring him Ashley's beast had slowly been leaking out. We hadn't even realized it. /Tora. His beast is free. He cannot control himself. He is definitely part dragon. I can smell it on him. And male dragons are very protective of their mates. He feels as though your little toy is a threat. You need to get everyone out because this will end badly./ Takira said. I nodded just as a low rumble emanated from Ashley and he steprd foreword. Riley's hand tightened around my waist trying to hold me back but it made Ashley's eyes narrow to slits. "Let. Her. Go. Now."
