The Girl With The Dragon's Blood

"Let. Her. Go. Now." Ashley said. His voice holding a deep growl. I gasped but Riley just held me tighter. Before any of us had time to think Ashley was charging foreword. I quickly ripped myself from Riley's grip and met Ashley halfway. He made an attempt to go around me but I grabbed him by the throat and swept his feet out from under him and pressed him flat on his back. But unlike all of our sparring matches before this time he was strong enough to fight against me. He grabbed my wrist and pulled it away from his throat and tried to push me off of him. I quickly maneuvered to where I had his arms pinned by my legs and my arm against his throat. In the moment I had him pinned I looked over my shoulder looking at Andy Cc and Jake. Riley was starting towards me but I snarled. "Guys you have to get Riley out. Get out of the house. Just fuckin leave. I can't hold him for long. Jinxx Sammi go with them. Explain everything but make sure Riley doesn't know anything!" I yelled before turnin my attention back to the struggling Ashley. Riley started to say something but was restrained and picked up by Andy Cc and Jake and carried out against his will. I nodded at Jinxx and Sammi as they left. I was struggling to keep Ashley pinned an as soon as I heard the car pull out I kept backward off of Ashley. He shot up. "What the hell? Why?" He asked with a growl in his voice. The room started getting hotter and hotter and I was starting to sweat. "Ashley please. You have to calm down. Your goin to hurt one of us!" I pleaded 'Is there any way you could speak to his beast?' I asked Takira silently. /I'm trying. He won't let me get close enough. He is enraged that the one he claims clearly as mate was with another. For me to talk to his beast you will have to calm the boy first./ She told me. I growled. I tapped into our powers and fought the rising heat with my ice. I ran directly at Ashley and surprised him by wrapping my arms around his body. I gasped in pain. He was hot. Not sexy hot. Touching him was like willingly standing in the center of a bonfire. I blocked out the pain and focused my aura on him enveloping him in a deep chill. After five minutes he was wrapped in my arms shivering and I was sweating and gritting my teeth. I was certain I had burns on most of the front of my body and my arms. We sank to the floor together and I finally let him go falling backwards. He probably had frost bite. But I knew that we would both heal. I lay on my back gasping at the large amount of power I had used. Almost the entire living room was covered in a layer of frost. Ashley was laying next to me. His eyes were full of tears as he looked over at me. "What is happening to me?" He asked with horror in his eyes. I pulled him close to me. Ignoring the painful burns on my torso and arms. I pulled him to me and ran my hands through his hair. He was shaking. He held onto me like I was his only lifeline and he was drowning in the middle of the vast ocean. I rocked him. "Ashley. Your like me. Somewhere in your family you became part dragon. Somehow you managed to suppress your beast until now. He started to come out when I came around. Now he's free. You have to work with him. Become one with him. Otherwise you will destroy eachother." I told him sadly. I felt Takira talking to his beast. After she finished. She started talking to me. /I have spoken with him. Now we must let him and the boy talk./ she told me. I nodded and then we sat in silence for close to an hour. I knew ash was talking with his beast. Y burns were beginning to throb but I ignored them not wanting to worry Ashley. After an hour Ashley looked up at me. His eyes told me he understood. But then his face wrinkled in confusion before he jumped up and away from me blushing. All of a sudden he fell down. "I can't feel my feet! Why can't I feel my feet?" He asked freaking out. He pulled his shoes and looked down to see his feet were frost bitten. Then he really started to freak. I laughed and got up walking over to him ignoring the pain in my body. I knelt in front of him and placed my hands above his body. I concentrated and felt the energy around me. I healed his feet and nearly fell over from the energy it cost me. I managed to catch myself. Ashley looked at me worried and I just waved him off. I was wearing one of my sweatshirts so he couldn't see the damage he'd done to my body with his heat. He looked t me. "So. Umm. My beast told me... Something." He said cautiously. I quieted an eyebrow. "We'll he. He told me that you and I. That were. Well... Mates?" He said looking at me skeptically. I sighed. "We will talk about this later." I told him. I stood up and walked as naturally as I could and picked up my phone. I called Sammi.
Sammi- Hello?
Me- Hey. It's me Tora.
Sammi- Omygosh! Are you guys okay? Can we come home yet? Ashley isn't dead is he?
Me- No Ashley is not dead. Yes you guys can come home. And yes we're okay. But you might want to bring something to defrost the living room with. Unless you like sitting on three inch thick layers of ice that is.
Sammi- What?! You froze the living room?
Me- Dude. It's okay. It was either freeze it or Ashley was gunna burn the whole damn house down. He's got some serious temperature spikes.
Sammi- Okay. Well be there in five minutes. Try not to hurt the rest of the house okay? Love you.
Me- Love you to
After she hung up I sat at the table and tried to judge how bad the burns were. My arms were at least third degree my torso was somewhere in between a one or two. Oh well it could have been worse. Soon Sammi was burying through the door with the boys after her. She walked into the living room and her eyes widened in disbelief. "Jeezus fucking Christ!" She gasped. I winced. She pulled me of to the side. "I thought you had the power to melt this stuff." She said. I sighed and dragged her up to my room. I wordlessly sat her on my bed and then walked into my bathroom. I gingerly pulled off my sweatshirt and tank top leaving myself in my bra. I peeked around the door. "Okay Sammi. You need to be really quiet. You can't freak out because of Ashley knew about this he would never forgive himself." I told her. I walked out of the bathroom and she gasped as she looked at my burned body. I winced at the expression on her face. The burns were almost entirely on my front and arms. My back was probably no worse than a light sunburn. She picked up her phone and texted who I assumed was Jinxx before making me lay out on my bed on my back. Ten minutes later Jinxx walked in carrying a bag full of stuff. At first he looked confused until Sammi motioned to me laying on the bed. His first reaction was embarrassment at seeing me half naked but then his expression instantly changed to anger and worry as he took in the burns. He handed the bag to Sammi and went to charge downstairs. "Stop please. It's not his fault. This is all new to him. He didn't know what he was doing. He didn't have control of himself. If he knew he did this to me it would destroy him." I said with sadness in my voice. Jinxx slowly turned around and nodded before sitting on the edge of the bed while Sammi worked over me with stuff to clean and cover the burns. I ended up grabbing Jinxx's hand tightly and whimpering as Sammi went over some of the really ba spots. When they asked me why I couldn't just heal myself I told them it was because I had used the vast majority of my energy fighting Ashley and it would take days to regain my power. Until then I had to deal with the pain and hide it from Ashley. After Sammi was done nearly my entire upper body except for my neck and head was covered in gauze and bandages. I slipped on the baggiest sweatshirt I had and then walked with them downstairs where everyone else was in the process of getting rid of the ice. They looked up and I smiled at all of them. They all smiled back and Cc pulled me into a tight hug. I kept from gasping and put a neutral expression on my face. "Please put me down and don't ask questions Cc." I ground out between clenched teeth in Cc's ear. He set me down and pulled back looking confused. I sighed. This was going to be a long few days.
