"And cue music!" The director called out and Luxe quickly wiped the sweat from her brow as Char put her tired fingers to the strings of her guitar.


They had been at this all day and Luxe was feeling the strain of being on her feet in combat boots for hours on end. They had gotten the crowd shots down within the first hour-the group that had showed up today had been amazing and were able to really get in to the music. But now they had to shoot the scenes where a girl in the crowd realizes that this is where she was mean to be-what she was meant to do.

The girl the casting department had gotten looked eerily like Luxe before all of the makeup and clothing changes-she looked like Lucinda Abernathy. Seeing the small girl walk towards her through the crowd had been like a ghost walking towards Luxe and it had thrown her off, causing them to have to reshoot the first section of lyrics a few different times. Finally they had gotten it right before lunch, but that break was short lived and they were back at it once more.

Andy was still standing on the side of the stage, where he had been since this morning and it amazed Luxe to see his dedication. He was there to show her how devoted he was-both to her and to the other girls andthat was coming off loud and clear. The other guys had drifted in and out all day, coming back after hitting the strip and then they had left once again to get some food. It was just Andy now, still smiling at her with encouragement as she prepped herself for the next round of shooting.

Luxe sang in to the mic as the girl in the front row stood there, staring up at her. Suddenly the crowd had pulled out lighters, which had been passed out by various PA's and the room seemed to catch on fire with their light. It was amazing to see something like this and in a way Luxe wished that she could be the girl in the crowd, even just for a few seconds. To just break away from all of this and to just get lost in the music for a moment.

But that could never happen-she was Luxe from The Hollywood Dolls and she had a job to do.
They ran through the next few shots rather quickly and Luxe was grateful for that as she was losing energy. For the past few weeks she had been feeling more and more run down, but of course she had been a very busy girl what with all of the tour press, the new album coming out, the video shoots and of course mentally trying to fight off her demons. Luxe was exhausted and she knew things were only going to get worse.

Mads' drum beat seemed to be in tune with her heart and Luxe smiled as she continued to sing. They would be dubbing the music over with the actual track, which was a good thing because Luxe's voice was starting to give out. She could only growl, scream and hold notes for so long and her time was almost up. They were nearing the end of the song and the end of their day, but Luxe kind of didn't want it to end. She knew that when this day was over that that would mean having to face Andy and she was terrified.

Luxe and Andy had been spending a lot of time together recently getting ready for the coming tour and their feelings for one another seemed to spark to life whenever they were around eachother. Andy would make her laugh till she snorted and Luxe was make that irresistible smirk grace his lips with one of her sassy remarks-it was like they had been transported back to the very first tour they ever did with one another. The fans were also liking their reunion as rumors had sparked online that the two were dating once again.

In truth she wished they were dating, but as Luxe looked over her shoulder and saw Andy's nod of approval, she realized that this was almost as perfect as she needed it to be right now. They were friends and truthfully that was more important to Luxe than them being involved romantically.

Luxe had taken a seat on the edge of the stage like she was supposed to and now her hand was grasping that of the teenage girl who was standing in the front row. They smiled at one another as Luxe finished the song and she knew, without a doubt, that this was the last take for the day. She had given it her all and as two PA's came over and helped her stand, Luxe felt like her head was spinning off of her shoulders.

They had now shot two music videos for this album and they had one more to go before the start of tour. Luxe looked around and saw that all of the girls were taking off their instruments and handing them over to various techs. It would be nice to have a few days off, but Luxe could feel it in her bones that this was only the beginning. The Dolls were back, full force, and Alex was going to make sure that nothing fucking it up this time.


"Alright! That's a wrap on The Hollywood Dolls Rock Show video! Thanks again everyone for coming out!" Their director called out and Luxe only smiled and waved at the vacating crowd before she turned the corner around the side of the stage.

"You were amazing out there." Andy said as he caught her by the elbow and led Luxe towards a quiet corner. He could tell that she needed a moment and he was going to try and get her alone so she could have it.

"Thanks. God that was a really long day." Luxe said as she hopped up on a large speaker box and swung her legs back and forth. Andy was standing near her, not quite in front but he was close enough that she could smell his cologne.

"Yeah, but you were a trooper out there. How's your throat?" Andy asked, his fingers running along her back and Luxe felt her eyes close just slightly. It felt good to be in this place with Andy again-good, but it was dangerous.

"Eh-I'm looking forward to my next few days off." Luxe said and Andy only smiled as he did something that shocked not only Luxe, but himself as well.


His lips grazed the very top of her forehead and as his eyes shut softly and he was lost in the moment, Andy knew that this is where he belonged and this is where he planned to stay-no matter the cost.
