Broken Wing

So my name is Brandie-I'm 25 and live in Northern Virginia(NOVA for those in the know). I am a pastry chef and decorate cakes for a popular grocery store and I love to write on the side. Funny story-I actually had never even heard of Black Veil Brides until this past Warped Tour when a friend of mine dragged me front and center. Watching them preform, especially Andy, I was mesmerized and as soon as I got home I watched their music video for Perfect Weapon. I've spent the last few months listening to little else besides them, trying to learn every lyrics and every guitar riff. the Used will always be my favorite band, but BVB does hold a special place in my heart.

I'm a really good listener, so if ever you need some one to talk to-please don't hesitate to message me. I may not be Andy, Ashley, Jinxx, Jake or CC, but I am a nice person who knows from experience that things do get better and that the bad things in life only fade and turn into strength.

FAQ:
1. Why are Odessa/Moira always in your stories?
Well, to put it simply-I like their characters. I worked really hard on developing my Burn Series and I love Odessa with Andy, so if I can fit her in anywhere possible then that is what I'm going to do. Also a lot of my readers read all of my work and I think they like seeing a familiar face.
2. Why do you kill off so many of your characters?
Death is a part of life and people change when death happens. In The End was actually written for Andy's grandfather who had passed away and it's apparent that all of the guys take things in their life and put it in to their music.
3. Why don't you ever put Juliet Simms in to your stories?
Another simple answer-I don't like Juliet Simms. I could go in to why, but it doesn't really matter as that is my opinion. I would rather not write about her at all because if I did it would not be in a positive light and I know some of my readers really like her. So I'll just pretend she doesn't exist to keep from hurting anyone's feelings.
4. Will you coauthor a story with me?
Maybe. I only try to coauthor when I have the time and currently I am working on two stories with other people, so not right now. I'm also kind of picky when it comes to coauthoring because I like unusual story lines-I'm not one to write an adoption story or a Mary Sue character.
5. Where do you get your ideas from?
Mostly they come to me while I'm at work. I have a laptop in my locker and so when I go on my breaks I will do some work.
6. Can you teach me to write as well as you?
Sadly my writing skills came to me with over ten years of practice. A good writer is not made over night and most don't even have the proper abilities until later in life. Just keep at it and try new things, even if they seem weird or like they won't work.
7. Why do you only write Andy fanfiction? There are four other guys in the band you know...
Yes, I am well aware that there are four other guys in the band. Simply put-I like writing about Andy. It has very little to do with the way he looks and more to do with the fact that he is an interesting character to write. More is known about his background than some of the other guys and so it's a lot easier writing for Andy than it is for, say, Jinxx.
8. How do you make your stories seem so real?
I do research. Wiki and google are my two best friends when it comes to writing. It takes longer, but I think the pay off is worth it because people seem to enjoy reading a story that feels like it has actually happened.
9. You seem to like weird names for your characters-where do you come up with them?
I love unusual names and I tend to find them in the strangest places. Odessa and Moira are two names that I've had on my mind for years and I remember reading them in a book somewhere. I just think weird names are fun and they make the story seem extraordinary.
10. You write a lot. Don't you have any other hobbies?
I do write a lot and it is one of my main hobbies, but there are other things that I enjoy. I love to read and I have a few shows that I am currently obsessed with(Supernatural, 2 Broke Girls and Game Of Thrones). I also have a veggie garden that I am currently tending, plus I have work. I write to relax and when I want to do other things, I simply shut my computer off and do them.
