Love And Other Drugs

Falling For You

Deep breath. Deep breath. Deep breath.

Luxe kept saying this to herself, a slow mantra, as she paced back and forth backstage. Tonight was the last night for she and Andy to be together and Luxe was barely keeping it together. They had spent an amazing three weeks together and it had been the best three weeks on this tour for Luxe. Andy had been there for her when she had felt vulnerable, when she had felt sad or stressed out and best of all-Andy had his complete attention on Luxe.

The only bad thing about being with Andy Biersack of Black Veil Brides was that Luxe often felt like she played second fiddle to the band, the fans and the music. Most of the time she was okay with it and Andy had gotten a lot better about being there for her, but sometimes she felt really lonely. Being on the road most of the year, Luxe only had the same four girls to lean on and those girls weren't always interested in the sober lifestyle.

Luxe had stayed clean and sober, her temptations staying at bay, but she could feel it deep within that when Andy left the next morning to catch his flight, those temptations could very well take her over. The other girls, especially Pixie, were partying harder than ever and Luxe wondered if they would ever learn. She'd learned her lesson through her overdose and Luxe was terrified that that was going to be the only way for the other girls to change as well.

Luxe sighed, breathing in deeply as she tugged down her ripped BVB shirt and then pulled up her black leather skinny pants. She was going old school tonight-sort of-in honor of Andy and his last night, so her face was completely painted in BVB War Paint and her long blonde hair was teased almost to the ceiling.

It was weird dressing like this again-the girls had all taken a more relaxed approach to their stage wear since Alex had given up and so all of this makeup was kind of making her face itch.

"Hey there beautiful." Someone said from behind her and Luxe smirked as she turned around and came face to face with Andy. His short black hair was in his face and he had on his old leather jacket that reminded her of his condo back in LA. He was smiling and soon enough his lips were against her own.

"Hey there yourself." She said after their brief embrace and Andy only smiled as he looked over Luxe's shoulder and out towards the crowd. It had been a crazy three weeks, but it had all been worth it to see Luxe before he went on the road himself.

"You ready for tonight? My last night..." He said and Luxe felt the tears sting her eyes. She didn't want to think about it, but she knew there was no denying it either.

"I am, but I don't want to think about you leaving me tomorrow." She pouted and Andy only smirked and placed his hands on either side of her face.

"Then don't think about it babe." He said and kissed her lips softly. Luxe felt herself melt against him and Andy held her tightly-he would always be there to hold on to her.

The ten minute warning was called out and Luxe smiled up at Andy as he held his hands on her hips and looked down in to her grey eyes. They had been through so much together and yet they had seemed to come to the end of it surviving the best that they could. It hadn't been without fights, struggles and breakups, but they had made it and they were stronger for it.

Andy smiled as he watched Luxe pace around, warming her voice up while the other girls strapped their instruments on and began to stretch and jump around themselves. It had been hard being without Luxe, but Andy knew that this tour had probably been the best one for the girls to be on. The ATL guys liked to party, but they were serious musicians and knew when enough was enough. Of course the other girls were still getting in to some heavy things, but Andy was happy to see that Luxe had remained sober.

He could remember all of their fights in the beginning-god he had hated her with every fiber of his being-and yet now all of those fights seemed silly. Of course they still fought-usually once a day at least, but their fights didn't explode like they used to and they were easily resolved. The ten minute warning soon turned on to the five minute warning and Andy knew that he needed to catch Luxe before she got out on that stage.

Andy didn't want to leave her, but he had his own tour to get ready for and he knew that by the time she got home from her current tour, he would be gone on his own. This life was hard-on both of them-but they were strong enough to stick it through and Andy just needed to remind Luxe of that.

Finally she seemed to be finished with her warm ups and Andy reached out, grabbing on to her arm gently as he pulled her to his chest.

"Luce..." He said softly as his hand found her wrist and soon enough she was in front of him, smiling and stage ready.

"Hey. What's going on?" She asked, slightly worried by the look on Andy's face. He seemed so serious-more so than he had a few minutes ago and it was concerning.

"Nothing. I just really want you to know that I've had an amazing time with you these past few weeks." He said and then the tears slowly began to run down his cheeks.

"Babe? Andy why are you crying?" She asked, even more worried because Andy never really cried.

"I'm just going to miss you and I worry about you being around all of this chaos." He said and Luxe only smiled as she ran her thumbs under his eyes and then placed a soft kiss on his lips
.
"I love you Andy and I know you're worried, but I'm stronger now-more so than I ever was and a lot of that is because of you. I have to get out there, but I love you and I'll see you in a bit." She said as she kissed him and then ran out on to the stage.

Andy watched as the girls ran around on the stage and his heart swelled when his eyes caught Luxe. This girl was amazing-smart, talented and she really did love her fans and her music-Andy knew he couldn't ask for more. As he stood there and watched the show, Andy felt his heart ache as he thought about how they would soon have to part. Perhaps he could talk to Jon about getting the girls on the road with them next fall for their new album because he knew that he couldn't spend another year away from Luxe.

"Alright guys! We're going to slow it down and do some covers for you right now and this first one if very special and close to my heart. This song talks about a relationship that maybe isn't always perfect, but it's the kind of relationship where you know that the person you're with is the one who you're meant for. This song is called Fall For You and it's dedicated to a very special man in my life who has always been there to catch me when I fall." Luxe said as she sat on the three legged stool with Char by her side.

Andy smiled-he knew this song and he knew that it would always be the perfect song to described his love for Luxe.

The best thing about tonight's that we're not fighting
It couldn't be that we have been this way before
I know you don't think that I am trying
I know you're wearing thin down to the core
But hold your breath
Because tonight will be the night that I will fall for you
Over again
Don't make me change my mind
Or I won't live to see another day
I swear its true
Because a guy like you is impossible to find
You're impossible to find
This is not what I intended
I always swore to you I'd never fall apart
You always thought that I was stronger
I may have failed
But I have loved you from the start
Oh, but hold your breath
Because tonight will be the night that I will fall for you
Over again

@Giacobra

I'm so glad you found this little gem. Sadly this was my last full story, but I do have a few other serial stories on this site which are different from this one, but just as well written. You can find all of them in my profile<3

So I can honestly say I didn't discover this story until recently. When I first started reading it I knew it would be one of my favorites from this site. I saw the sad ending coming but dear god I was still not prepared in any way. You wrote everything so genuinely and in a way that showed an amazing range of real and raw emotions. I may or may not have been crying profusely through the last chapters. This was a beautiful, bittersweet, and amazing story and I look forward to anything else you may ever decide to write. Thank you

I'm pretty sure I've done nothing but cry while reading these last few chapters. You do a wonderful job getting the reader emotionally involved in this story, and I'm really glad that I was able to read this wonderfully written piece. Thank you for all of the time and hard work that went into this story. It is definitely one of the best that I have read in a really long time.
