Fallen Angel

God, Give Me A Miracle

"Hannah." He whispered again. I couldn't understand how his voice could be so sweet and terrifying at the same time.

Slowly, he placed each of his hands gently but firmly on the door, one on either side of my head, and crouching down slightly, he became eye level with me. His eyes, full of such a strong intensity, glazed with a fearsome calmness.
Turning away, I grabbed ahold of the doorknob and swung the door open behind me, shifting by body out of the way as Andy lost balance and fell into the house, startled. I darted up stairs before he could realize what happened and closed my bedroom door behind me, but before I could lock it, he bolted right behind me and pried it back open, letting himself inside. I stumbled backwards, catching my balance on my bed, and just as I turned my head back at him, he was face to face with me, pushing me back onto the mattress. Why is it always the bed? I tried to extend for the pocket knife, but he caught my arm. I tried to swing at him with the other, but then he pinned that one as well.

"Do you remember me..?" He asked softly.

I gazed fearfully up at him. What should I say? I laughed weakly trying to brush the vague question aside in hopes that this was in fact reality. Maybe we met years ago and I don't remember; then again, that wouldn't really explain his aggression. Maybe he's insane, or perhaps, I'm am. In any case, I have to be careful. "You just gave me a ride home just how could I--

"You know what I meant." He said cutting me off. "I can see it.. I can see the way you see me through those eyes," he paused a moment, as if he was searching for something deep within me, through my eyes using his. He continued. "what you're thinking, what you feel... I can see all of it so don't you dare lie to me..."

"What do you mean?"

"You know exactly what I mean, Hannah!" His voice crecendoed. Then with a pause, he became quiet again. "How can you remember?" His eyes drifted away momentarily. "You're not supposed to."

I thought back to the sketchbook then quickly shook the memory away. "I don't know what you're talking about." This is crazy. I know I'll just wake up any moment now. He doesn't exist, and neither does this whole situation--none of it.

He looked up toward my nightstand, concentrated. Sitting up, he walked toward it and opened the drower pulling out the sketchbook first.

No way.. He couldn't have.. "Hey, leave that alone!" I jumped for it, but he easily fended me off without much effort while continuing to flip through the pages. The struggle was so effortless--almost comedic, it was like a scene out of a shojo manga. Finally, he flipped to the last couple of pages, the most recent, and he saw all the sketches of that dark angel. There, he caught sight of the feathers that were in the drowr. He was just about to reach for them when the sound of glass shattering followed by a gust of wind cut throught the air.

Both of us darted our eyes in that direction, casting a gaze upon a beast, with a heavy chest, narrow waist, and animalistic qualities. As black as night, the beast stood there next to broken glass on two wolf-like hind legs, large and horrifying sharp claws extending from each of his hands. It had a wild mane like a lion and iris-less, circular eyes and wide, stitch-broken mouth glowing red, contrasting to the dark siouette figure. It stepped into the room and extened its large leathery wings tinted with a crimson red on the inside. The broken chains still locked around his ankles and wrists rattled with an piercing, erie, metallic sound. The very appearance of it was enough intimidation without it saying a single word.

Andy dropped the sketchbook and stepped between me and the beast.

"What are you doing? You can--

"Just shut up for a moment."

I was about to protest until i saw a faint, smokey, and glowing aura appear visably around him. I stepped back as far as I could until my back was against by closet doors. This isn't happening. Some of the smokey aura started to concentrate into his right fist, glowing a deep red. The two beings seemed to move in slow motion with a first step, but then almost as fast as the speed of light, the two collided and started exchanging blows, almost a surreal fight that quickly landed them outside; my eyes could barely keep up with their movement. I ran toward tha balcony still in utter disbelief. The moment my eyes laid upon them, they seemed to disapear to another location, and when I finally found them once more, the same thing happened.

Finally, they dispersed for a brief moment, and I saw Andy go through a sudden transformation: Black wings sprung from his back, clothes morphed into black and tattered pieces of leather, what looked like black war paint appeared on his body and face, and his hair grew several inches. What my eyes thought to be impossible, the black winged creature from my dreams appeared before me surrounded my a much stronger and vibrant red aura.

Before I had a chance to react, I heard a crushing sound behind me, and throwing myself around to see what it was, I saw another on of the creature, much more ogre-looking, crouching down on the edge of my roof, less then seven feet away, staring back at me. I screamed and ran back inside the house towards my knife under my pillow. By the time I got it, the creature was already inside. Dispite the cold, I was drenched in sweat, heavily breathing and struck with fear. I no longer believed that this was a dream.

Was this how I was going to die? Right here? Right now? at the hands of some unhuman monsterous beast? Do I even have a fighting chance?

I was drained of all hope, staring at this thing. The darkest marron staining its leathery skin, the beast stood strong, fat, and very large. It too had chains still locked around its wrists and ankles. The beast had a single, large eye, solid black with a red iris, maliciously narrowed down at me. Trough its meaty mouth with rigged teeth jetting from its bottom jaw, it smiled at me as if it already had me beat.

God, if you're out there, please give me a miracle.
