A Demonic Love

Sins

Andrus sighed loudly as he looked down at the human, its crimson life was flowing freely now as its eyes stared ahead blankly and Andrus felt nothing at this site before him. Darren Andrew Biersack-that had been this vile human's name, something that Andrus had read on the scroll that had come with the vermin the day prior. This was something that was frowned upon by the high court, learning the names and information of the humans that came into the Hell Realm to be punished. Demons were supposed to remain impartial and unfeeling, but Andrus felt like it made things easier for him if he had all of the facts. As he looked down at the still corpse, Andrus felt the thoughts running through his head.

Was he any better than this human whose life he had just stolen? He, Andrus from the House of Morfanis, was in fact part human. Yet here he was, killing his own kind for the sake of others who had all but shunned him his entire life. What was the price for acceptance? Andrus wasn’t sure anymore, he wasn’t sure of anything anymore.

“Got another on for ya Andrus…” The silence was broken as Andrus turned and faced the door to the dark chamber. Two Demons stood before him, their black horns brushing against the stone ceiling as they entered the room and walked past him.

Andrus watched in silence as the Demons worked to unstrap the human from his death chair and he felt himself press against the wall as the two Demons took up most of the space in the room with their large red bodies that stank of death and fire. All bodies in the Hell Realm were burned once they expired, their souls set free to roam around the Death Pits for eternity as they dwelled on their past crimes. Andrus had only ever been down to the Death Pits once in his life and once was enough. The Demons quickly removed the boy, his eyes staring blankly at Andrus as they carried the still body passed, his arms hanging limply at his sides.

As the male human was removed, Andrus turned back towards the doorway and noticed that a small girl stood before him and he winced. He hated female humans, they screamed so much that it made his head pound and they always cried at the slightest injury. Weak. Worthless. As he looked to her, Andrus noticed that she was not being restrained or held back-she was standing there calmly in her baggy t-shirt and shorts, her tennis shoes squeaking against the stones as she rocked back and forth. Andrus could not see her face, for it was hidden in shadow, but he could tell by her shadowed features that she was watching him in peaceful curiosity.

“Come here you. You’ll be sorely disappointed in this vile thing Andrus-no fight left in her…should be pretty quick.” One Demon said gruffly as his long claws reached out and grabbed the girl by the arm roughly. Andrus watched as the large Demon pulled the tiny girl into the room and threw her towards the now empty chair. Silently she took a seat, her eyes closed as Andrus approached her.

Andrus took the girl in silently as the two Demons strapped her down, yanking the leather against her skin hard enough to make her wince slightly, but Andrus had yet to hear her speak out. Usually the humans came in crying, regretting their sins and begging for forgiveness, but what they failed to realize is that Demons don’t care about forgiveness-only God does. God does not exist in the Hell Realm and so once they come here, the humans are doomed. Andrus looked towards the girl, taking her in as the Demons finished with her and went to leave the room.

The girl was slight and she couldn’t been more than sixteen human years and Andrus felt something flame within him as he looked down at her. The child's hair was so light in color that it looked almost white in this light-pure and untainted. She was very tiny, even compared to Andrus who was the smallest Demon in the Realm. Her eyes were still shut and as Andrus looked down at her he noticed that her soft lips were moving slightly as she mumbled something to herself.

“Thank you gentlemen…” Andrus said over his shoulder, excusing the two Demons as he turned towards the door and followed them out. He closed the door, locking the bolt as he removed the small scroll from the clip on the door and unfurled the crisp paper. Silently Andrus read over her stats, his eyes growing wide as he read towards the bottom.

Name: Lily Carolyn Jacobs
Age: Seventeen Human Years

Andrus felt himself grow angry as he crumbled up the scroll and tossed it towards the ground before running a hand through his messy hair. This-this was why he grew tired of his duties. This girl, this human, had committed no real crime against humanity and yet here she sat, just because of some outdated religious law. No, she had chosen to take her own life for some reason and now, now Andrus was supposed to punish her. Had she not suffered enough in life? Something must have happened to make this young girl end everything and silently Andrus just stood there and looked down at her.

Andrus approached the small girl and he noticed that she had her hands raised, her palms together as she continued to mumble quietly to herself, her eyes remained closed much to Andrus’ annoyance. What was she doing? Andrus had never seen a human act this way and suddenly it hit him-she was praying quietly to herself as she sat there. He took the sight of her in as she sat there, noticing how long her eyelashes were as they rested against her pale pink cheeks softly. Her lips were pink and full as they moved silently and Andrus hoped that she would soon finish with her needless praying. She seemed so at peace sitting there, it was unnerving for Andrus and he hated himself for having to interrupt her peaceful presence.

“What are you muttering girl?” His voice was low and at his disruption the girl grew silent, her lips no longer moving and she became perfectly still. Andrus cocked his head as he looked down at her, waiting for an answer but it never came.

Andrus movedto her then, his large hands coming to rest on the ends of the arm rests where her hands were supposed to be strapped down but were not. He would have to report this to a higher up, but atleast this human seemed to be in control. He looked down at her, his face coming close enough that he could smell her-a sweet scent that was not unpleasant to his senses as Andrus looked on. She seemed peaceful, not scared or regretful like most humans were when they came into these chambers. Andrus looked down at her hands, noticing the faded red lines that crisscrossed over her wrists. Her right wrist had a large open wound going vertically up and Andrus knew that that had been her final assault against herself.

Suddenly Andrus felt something in his heart, something he had never experienced before and he stepped back, his eyes wide. Sympathy? Compassion? These were not something that he was supposed to be feeling, Demons only felt hate, anger and lust, but thinking back Andrus realized. He was only part Demon and so he actually was perfectly capable of feeling these very human emotions. He felt sick to his stomach as the feelings began to overtake him.

“Please, just kill me and get it over with…” Her voice was soft, unwavering as she sat there and spoke to him quietly. Andrus looked down at her, longing to hear her voice again and the weariness and despair behind her tone had not gone unnoticed as he watched her silently.

“Ho-how do you know I’m here to kill you?” Andrus asked as he looked down at this girl and noticed that she had yet to open her eyes. What was she afraid of seeing? She was already dead, could things get any worse for humans? Of course they could, Andrus knew full well how bad he could make these humans suffer.

"I know where I am-hell. Only people like me come down here when they die.” Her voice was soft and Andrus felt himself shiver at the pure sound. What was wrong with him? He should not be feeling like this about some worthless human-especially not a female.

“And what type of person are you?” He asked and Andrus found himself approaching her once again as he awaited her answer. He moved so that he was crouching over her, his knees bent towards her and he was low enough so that if she ever opened her eyes, they would be face to face, something Andrus didn’t know if he could handle.

She said nothing at first, her eyebrows furrowing as she thought over her answer. How to explain something to someone who didn’t know her or her pain? The things she had been through in her life, most would never understand nor would they care. Her mother certainly didn’t, in fact her mother made her opinions known every day, especially when her scars were noticed and her mother would look at her in disgust. Dare she open her eyes to answer him? She didn’t want to-she wanted to keep her eyes closed as she finally faded, to remember her last moments of life so she could hold on to that as she suffered. To remember the music that she had been playing softly in the background as she sliced open her own flesh. She wanted to hold on to this memory as it kept her calm, but she knew now was the time. With a small smile playing on her lips, the girl opened her eyes and looked out in front of her.

“I’m wretched…” She spoke softly and Andrus had to strain to hear her at first. With a gasp he noticed that she had opened her eyes to look at him as she answered and Andrus felt himself be taken aback.

Andrus looked down into those eyes and he felt his heart stop-the color was something he had never seen before down here in Hell. A light purple-Lavender- stared back at him and this small girl seemed equally surprised by his own appearance as she stared back up at him. Andrus had gone his entire life starring into the red eyes of the Demons around him and he had never known that someone else could have such light colored eyes. Here was a girl-a beautiful girl-who shared something with him and Andrus felt a small smile mark his lips.

As Andrus stared into those lavender orbs, he felt something within him break into a million pieces and at that moment he knew. He would never, ever, be able to inflict pain upon this girl, this innocent creature. He felt his heart breaking as he thought about the sheer agony that she must’ve gone through and as he looked down at her, Andrus made a silent vow. He would never harm her, ever, and he would die protecting her from those who would ever try.

Notes

So here we have a new character. I hope you all love her as much as I do and even though she may not seem like it now-Lily is very feisty and very capable of protecting herself.

Please read and review and maybe I'll update either tonight or early tomorrow morning.
