A Demonic Love

Lies My Mother Told Me

Andrus waited until he was out of the Lords prescience before he exploded. His fist reached out, pounding against the hard stone wall as he walked back down towards the training center. He watched, a sick smirk gracing his lips as the stone cracked and small pieces fell to the floor in a pile. Andrus knew what he must do-he knew to whom he must speak about all of this and as he shimmered and appeared back in the training center, Andrus focused on the two people that still sat in the stands. Calvanis and Lattvinia. The twins were sitting there, hands up to their faces as they spoke quietly to one another. Andrus approached them, his face forming into a fake smile as the two Demons looked up.

“You’re alive! Oh Andrus we were so worried!” Lattie had her arm wrapped around his neck in an instant and all Andrus could do was pat her back softly.

“What did the Lord want Andrus?” Cal asked, his voice low and his eyes suggestive-Andrus knew that Cal would be worried about him finding the music player.

“Just to congratulate me on my fine fighting skills…oh and to tell me that my entire life has been a lie.” He hissed the last part and suddenly Lattie and Cal looked uncomfortable. They knew.

“You knew didn’t you…” It was an accusation, not a question and Cal couldn’t meet his gaze as Lattie only looked at Andrus sadly.

“We were sworn to secrecy…” Andrus didn’t let her finish as he stormed off in the direction of the door. Only one place would hold the truth for him and Andrus was determined to get there as quickly as possible.

Andrus felt his feet smacking against the stones of the street, his arms swinging at his sides and he knew that Cal and Lattie were right behind him. He didn’t care-let them come and watch him learn even more about his sorrid past. He felt disgusted with himself-part human! Everything he had ever been taught about them had been a lie-obviously his mother’s hatred for humans stemmed from the fact that she had been forced to raise a halfbreed. Andrus huffed as he came upon the small building he had been looking for and quietly he pushed open the door and entered the old Record Building.

“Andy…you really shouldn’t be in here…” Cal hissed from behind them as Andy just began to walk down the aisles, his eyes trained in the A Section, looking for his own name.

“Why? Because I’m not a Record Demon? Turns out I’m not much of a Torture Demon either…” He spat, his best friend falling back as Andy found a medium sized leather bound book, his own name running up the spine in gold lettering.

“You’re the best there is.” Lattie was behind him now, her green hand coming to rest on his shoulder, her blue painted claws shining underneath the ceiling lights.

“Shut it…you’re just as guilty as he is.” His voice was cruel as Andy just held the book tightly to his chest and made his way over to one of the large wooden tables that sat in the middle of the room.

“Look Andy…just because we were sworn not to tell you things doesn’t mean you get to hate us forever…” Cal had taken a seat across from him and Andy just ignored the two Demons as he cracked open the book. A picture, black and white in color, his own eyes staring back up at him as Andrus read over his stats.

Name: Andrus

Parentage: N/A
Ranking: First Torture Commander in the Third Right
Eye Color: Blue

Distinctive Features: Lip Ring, Various Tattoos, Blue Eyes and Human Colored Flesh
Abilities: Sword fighting, lightning speed and agility

Andrus shut the book, his head coming to rest on his arms as he groaned. Parentage: N/A. Of course he should’ve known that nothing about his real mother would be in here. Slowly he lifted his head up and Andrus felt his anger boil within him. Cal and Lattie only sat there in front of him, their eyes looking at him softly as Andrus just growled and slammed the book closed. He didn’t even bother to place it back on the shelf as Andy just rushed from the building and headed down the street towards his quarters. If he couldn’t get answers about his mother, than he was going to fucking find out what exactly this music was that kept replaying itself in his brain and he knew exactly who to ask.

Andrus walked down the halls of the pits, the screams echoing in his ears as he passed closed doors. The blades of his knives tickled his skin-his human skin. He shuddered as he thought about that fact and it only fueled his anger as Andrus finally found himself outside of a familiar door. He pushed it open, the human inside already groaning and moaning from his still healing wounds from the day before. Andrus entered the room, the fire light shining off of his hair and eyes as he looked down at the human more carefully. His hair was dark brown, his eyes deep chocolate as they stared up in fear. This human had a ring in his nose, something that Andrus had failed to notice the day prior and before the human could speak, Andrus had removed the music player from a pocket and held it mere inches from the vermin’s nose.

“This fell off of your person yesterday human…” Andrus wiggled the item infront of the disgusting human’s face and watched for a reaction.

“Keep it…please just let me go…” His voice was low, tired, and Andrus just smirked as he took a seat on one arm of the chair that the ingrate was strapped to.

“Oh I intend to keep it, but I can’t let you go either…” Andrus smirked down, his knees coming to rest against the human’s chest as he pressed down.

“I do want to know however-what is this thing called and what plays from it?” Andrus’ eyes were wide, the blue glowing in the dark as the human just looked up at him, fear lacing his pale features.

“It-it’s called an iPod and it plays music…” The human seemed confused, he couldn’t seem to understand why someone would not know what an iPod was.

“What exactly is this music that it is playing?” Andrus asked as he pressed a button and they both could hear the beginning strains of guitar coming out of one of the end pieces.

“Rock music…that’s all I have on there…” The human looked up at Andrus, his eyes hopeful that perhaps this Demon would let him go at his useful information.

“I see. Rock. Music. Strange name, but I find myself connected to it somehow.” Andrus smirked, his teeth glowing in the soft light as he reached down and placed one of the end pieces into a pointed ear.

“Rancid? What exactly about this is rancid?” He asked, looking down at the screen and seeing what was passing over it. The human chuckled at his ignorance and Andrus swiftly laid his hand against a pale cheek for the insolence that was being shown.

“Rancid is the name of one of the bands on there…” The human muttered, his head coming to rest against the back of the chair as Andrus began to move his head to the music, his boots tapping against the vermin’s chest softly.

“Thank you human…you have been very helpful.” Andrus had gotten up and was moving towards the door and he smirked as he heard the human sigh in relief.

“S-so you’re going to let me go?” Andrus smirked wider, his back to the human as he faced a small table, his fingers running over his instruments lightly.

“Oh-I never said anything about letting you go…” He turned then and his smile was evil as Andrus held up a long thin instrument. As he approached the human, Andrus held the instrument up to one of the flaming sconces and soon there was a flame flickering at the end.

“But…I thought-“ A piercing scream littered the air as Andrus brought the flame down on the human’s flesh and the air filled with a sickening scent.

“You thought wrong…” Andrus said lowly as he removed the flame and brought it back down, this time closer to the human’s face.

“Please…” He heard the nasty human beg, but Andrus continued his assault.

“You know-I found out some things about myself today…” Andrus said as he removed the flame from the human and moved back over towards the table. He hadn’t even realized that he still had the music blaring in his ear as Andrus began to work again.

“I found out that I’m one of you…disgusting really but I am who I am.” His voice was low and dangerous, the music in his ears loud and pounding as Andrus sliced and burned at the human’s soft flesh.

The screams were drowned out by the music in his ears as Andrus worked and he smiled as the music seemed to react to his own actions. He liked this music, perhaps it was the human in him but there was also something else. Being part human would explain his lack of interest in Torturing anymore and as Andrus moved towards the human once again he found himself feeling sad. He used to enjoy this so much-hearing them beg for mercy as he sliced into their flesh and watched the blood spill down around his boots. No more.

The music grew somber, slower as Andrus moved to pick up a small knife, the blade sharp and dangerous looking at he walked back towards his captive. The human’s head was bent low towards his chest and he was mumbling incoherently as Andrus approached. It was pathetic how these humans seemed to just give in-there was no fight in this one anymore and that made it less enjoyable. Slowly Andrus reached out, his fingers grasping underneath the human’s chin as he lifted it up so that he could look the human in the eyes.

“I want to thank you for giving me some new information-for that I will allow you some peace.” Andrus smirked as he gritted his teeth, his fingers grasping at the back of the human’s head and pulled the brown hair back until his throat was exposed.

Andrus listened to the music in his ears, his eyes focused on the human in front of him and a sick feeling entered his stomach. How much longer could this go on? But with nothing to stop him or make him think twice-Andrus ran the knife across the thin flesh of the neck before him and smirked softly as he watched the floor turn from gray to crimson red.
