Nonstop To Nowhere - Fallen Angel (Tome I)

New Project

10 am. Barking from the neighbor's dog and a vibrator from her phone took the young woman out of her deep sleep. A good smell of coffee and toasted bread reached her nostrils, gurgling her stomach. Skylar stretched out of her bed, yawned and scratched her head. She opened her bedroom door and walked to the kitchen where she found her best friend, Jenny, waddling to the beat of Mötley Crüe's "Girls, Girls, Girls". Since the announcement of their farewell, her friend was kind of sad. Skylar rubbed her eyes and grabbed the stereo's remote to lower the sound, which made Jenny complain.

- Jen, it's not that I don't like Vince Neil's voice, but to hear it in the morning when you get out of bed is not my thing. Said Skylar slightly annoyed.
- You're grumpy this morning, what's up? Jenny asked with a smile.
- Jake bother me again last night, because after the show I stole a beer in the reserve and he hates when we took things in the reserve. So he lecture me for an hour and last but not least I have a very, very bad night.
- I see. Coffee ?
- Gladly.

The two friends placed themselves on the terrace overlooking the ocean and watched the people. Their apartment was located on the top floor, beach side, of a building on Ocean Front Walk. In early summer, tourists were amassed in large numbers on the beach. The children made sandcastles, and water fights, while the parents smeared sunscreen. Some beach workers were working on the beach, while others jumped while installing their belongings due to the heat of the sand, already hot at the beginning of July.

- You work tonight or we can have a girls day? Jenny asked.
- Nope, I'm free.
- Great, it's been a while we didn't plan a day like that.
- That's true. Otherwise, your work, you have new ideas for your next photos?
- Yes, you.
- Me? Asked Skylar surprise.
- Yes, you and the Burlesque girls. I thought of doing a dance and cabaret theme. So for the dance theme, I thought to take you in a studio while you warm up and do your chorégraphies or invent new stuff, and for the Cabaret part, I thought to take photos of you and the girls behind the scenes, when you put make up, prepare yourself and when you guys dance on stage.
- That's a great idea! It changes your last project anyway.
- Landscapes, I love, I find it fabulous, but I find that everything related to dance or all that is naked artistic is much better. We can do such beautiful things with our body and express so many emotions that for the photo it's the best.

After their breakfast was over and the dishes were filled in the dishwasher, the two friends went to get ready and put on make-up. An hour and a half later, Skylar and Jenny came out of their apartment and snagged in the "Smart" (it's a French car) of the latter towards the mall. They search a place during a while before finally finding a place, then they walked the crowded streets while talking about everything and nothing.

In the evening, they made a quick detour home to drop all their things before leaving immediately at the Bourbon Room a bar playing rock music and where we ate watching concerts at the same time. The evening was in full swing and she found Leana, a college and friend of Jenny.

The Bourbon was a typical bar of the big American cities during the 80s. As soon as they entered it, they breathed a smell of musty, cigarettes and rancid alcohol. The people who frequented it, massed in large numbers around the bar and driving mostly Harley, commanded a lot of Budweiser, talked and laughed so hard that even a deaf man could hear them. In front of the back wall, a podium overlooked a dance floor; it wasn't empty when bands came to play. Around it, there were a few dozen tables, engraved with the initials of most customers and / or tourists who had crossed the threshold of the Bourbon by chance, were surrounded by mismatched chairs. There were also picture of the manager with rock stars hanging around the walls.

Koffin Kat, on stage, played regularly at the Bourbon. The boss, a former biker and big fan of rockabilly called Goose, enjoyed this band. His musical repertoire enlivened the customers, encouraged them to stay, and therefore to consume abundantly. Their music was neither original nor daring. Nothing much different from what you could find in a jukebox during the 50's. It was also the reason for their success, or at least if you liked this style of music.
The alcohol flowed, but Jenny decided not to force too much on the drink, because she was the one who drove back. The three friends played karaoke and Skylar sang Shania Twain's song "Rock This Country". As the night goes one, Skylar started to get really flustered. She then climbed onto the table, rocking slightly from right to left and began to dance sensually on Reckless Love's "Animal Attraction". The young woman was joined a few seconds later by her best friend. Leana, who was not in much better shape than her two friends, decided to film the scene and burst out laughing at the girls falling off the table.

- Grrr, sexy Sky, come and kiss me! Leana shouted completely drunk.
- Sorry Leana, I'm not drunk enough for that.

***

The next day, Jenny entered tiptoeing in her best friend room, picked up her phone and plugged it into the speaker on the bedside table. She delved into her music and started Slipknot's song "My Plague", probably the band Skylar dislike the most. The latter jumps off literally from her bed and fall on her butt, head in the pie and an excruciating headache.

- Jen, turn this thing off! Growled Skylar.
- You shouldn't drink to much last night my dear.
- I didn't drink to much, just a little bit, it's not the same. Skylar answered, raising a finger in the air and holding her head with her other hand.
- Um, if you say so ... I've made you an aspirin if you want. I have to go, I'll meet you at the Rouge Burlesque tonight for the photos.

Skylar looked up at her best friend, a half-questioning, half-confused look on her face.

- Sky, don't tell me you forgot.
- Noooo, not at all.

Jenny put her hands on her hips and looked deeply in the eyes of the blonde girl who was struggling to stand up.

- Sky ...
- Well, yes, I forgot.
- Oh move quickly, you have to be at the cabaret in two hours and knowing you, if you don't hurry now, you'll be late.

@Red Phoenix77
Yeah I know too and that's true, that's absolutely not cool. Anyways, thank you to tell it to me because it could have been the case but don't worry it's all my works.

@PillbillyBlues
Okay, then. I just know that there's a problem with some people copying other writers work, and I wanted to be sure that wasn't the case, because that's totally not cool.

@Red Phoenix77
Yes, it's me. At the beginning I wrote it in French with the band Rammstein on my French Wattpad and I also wanted to do it with Black veil Brides and in English because first it's challenge me to write in English and secondly because I also like BVB so why not.
I just keep the original title on this plateforme and change it on Wattpad, so don't worry it's still my work ;)

My roommate just showed me this same story on Wattpad, but with a different title. Is this yours, or has someone copied you?

@Red Phoenix77 Yeah well, she's acting like a total bitch sometimes and think that important things for some people are less for her and vice versa. Basically she's a little annoying but with a big heart.
