Now Remembered. But For How Long?
Together Again and a Tattoo
After Warped; September 2011 (a/n: that month and year creep me out because it’s the 10 yr. 9/11 anniversary and those numbers give me the chills.)
*Jake’s POV*
Warped Tour was a blast. Jinxx proposed on our day off and Sammi said yes. We were all stoked for them. Juni had to replace CC for a few days because he was either too drunk or sick. Mostly sick though. Then Jinxx fractured his rib because he fell so Juni had to cover for him. Juni wasn’t really thrilled that she had to play, but she sucked it up and had a blast. Now we’re in the studio recording our Rebels EP. It has two cover songs and one original song we wrote. Ella had to go do another photo shoot in UK. She’ll be back in late October early November. Sammi just left to go on a yearlong tour with her band My Satellite. We go back on tour in two months. Oh and Andy and Juni are dating again. Surprise! Andy asked in the beginning of Warped. Juni’s been doing pretty good, too. She’s starting to get back on track. We had a few close calls when she almost relapsed but she’s on the road to recovery.
*Andy’s POV*
I went to the beach with Juni since it was really nice out. She wore her batman bikini and I wore my batman swim trunks. All of her scars are faded. Death faded a bit but you can clearly see it. I remember the day I asked Juni out. It was mid July and I was hanging out with Juni a lot before I asked her out.
~FLASHBACK~
I was walking with Juni around the buses. We had a show tomorrow. We had today off. I saw a tree and climbed it and sat on a high branch. Juni followed me and I looked up at the sky and then at Juni who was gazing up at the clouds. I looked at my hands and fiddled with them.
“Juni…”
“Yes Lion?”
“I know we both said that we didn’t have the same feelings for each other, but I think we really broke up because of things-“ I was cut off
“getting too serious and if we broke up everything would become really awkward. I thought the same thing the morning we had to leave for Warped.”
“Well, I thought about it. A lot. You were a lot happier and better when we went out. And it just seems that after we stopped you weren’t extra happy. You relapsed too. So, Juniper Rose Pitts would you consider being my girlfriend, again?”
“Andrew, I – I don’t know what to say other than… yes.” She beamed.
“Then that means I can do this no problem.” I kissed her. Well, more like made out with her. But you get it.

“Whatcha thinking about?” Juni asked while laying on her towel.
“The day I asked you out.” I smiled while poking her nose.
“You’re adorable.”
“You’re amazing.”
“You’re taking me home because I need a shower like now and Jake wanted to take me somewhere in two hours.”
“Okay Wolf Tiger. I love you.”
“I love you too Lion.”
We got up and headed to my black mustang. We drove back to our apartment and Juni got ready.
I was making myself a sandwich when Juni came out. She took an hour so we decided to watch TV until Jake got here. The doorbell rang and Juni got up and kissed me goodbye.
“I’ll see you later Lion.”
“Have fun with Jake.” The door shut and I finished up writing Coffin. That took about 2 hours. I started sketching the music video while songwriting. After that I called up Ashley.
“Hey Andy. What’s up?”
“Not much. Jake and Juni are out.”
“Nice. Hey you want to go to the music shop with me to check out my bass?”
“Sure. I’ll be at your house in 20 minutes.”
“See you then.” I hung up and headed to Ashley’s. I was there in 15 minutes and when I parked my car I saw Ashley walking to his car.
“Biersack!”
“Purdy!” We hugged and hopped into Ashley’s car.
“How’s Ju Ju been?”
“Good. She’s been at that bass for days. I think she’s got a whole song written for it.”
“Awesome. I’ll talk to her about that when I see her. Got any new songs?”
“Not yet. I finished Coffin. I’ve started sketching the music video.”
“I was just going to tell you that I got the bass to it.”
“Cool. I’ll hear it when we get back.” We pulled up to the shop and Ash checked out his bass and bought some extra stings and made a ton of custom picks to use.
“So, how are things with Juni?”
“Good. She’s starting to be her bubbly, ‘oh my god is she CC’s twin?’ self again.”
“I remember when that lady came up to us. We were in Target and Juni and CC were playing with bouncy balls and CC wore his ‘My name is CC.’ shirt. She walked by and freaked out. She came up to us and was like ‘is that girl related to him?”
“and Jake said, ‘no. she’s my sister and his best friend.”
“She was like ‘I’m so sorry.’ I cracked up when she came up to us I thought I was gonna piss myself laughing.” We pulled up to Ashley’s apartment and said bye to each other. I drove home and took a shower. When I got out I checked the time and saw it was 8 pm. Juni left at around 4. And I went to Ashley’s around 6. Hmmm. I thought she’d be home by now.
*Juni’s POV*
Jake picked me up and took me to his house. He said Ella had my birthday gift for me. She said she totally forgot when she came home but it’s okay. We video called Ella because she’s in the UK.
“Hey Juni! Hi babe!”
“Hey Ella.”
“Hi love.”
“What’s my gift?”
“you’re doing a shoot with me. I’m waiting to find out when they want to do it. They said either January or February.”
“Ella, that’s really nice and all but… I don’t know if I could.” I trailed off. How could I do a shoot with my arm? And I’m nowhere near as good looking as Ella.
“Girl, you’re gorgeous and I’ll make sure that any scars showing WILL be photo shopped out. And this shoot isn’t any sex clothing. It’s pajamas and regular clothes.”
“I guess I can do it.” It doesn’t sound bad. And it sounds like Ella is going to be on the photographer’s toes when he does editing.
“YAY!!!”Ella yelled.
“How’ve you been Ella?” Jake finally spoke up.
“Good. The shoot today was a drag. Someone fucked up the times so I got there late.”
“How’s mum?”
“good. Oh my god she sent me the oddest text. She asked me what kind of food baboons like. But then she said she meant Babooshka.”
“that must’ve been interesting.”
“yup.”
“Hey you know how I scrunch my nose when I play with Trixy and stick my tongue out and see if she copies me?”
“Yes.”
“I’ve been doing it around mum lately. Not on purpose either. I even do it to Babooshka.”
“Haha. Mum must’ve been weirded out.”
“Then I almost threw up because I farted.”
Jake started laughing.
“I don’t know how you can love me. Mum’s most likely paying you to love me.”
“haha. Ella at least you don’t share the same DNA as him. And he loves you a bunch. Somedays he just goes on about you for like two hours straight.”
“Juni! Ella trust me. Mum’s not paying me. This is 100 percent real love. No payment plans needed.”
“Oh god. You two are something.”
“Thank you.” I laughed out.
“Well babe. I’ve gotta go. It’s really late and I hear mum waking up. I have to be at the shoot in five hours and if mum comes in then I’ll never be able to sleep. Haha.”
“I love you babe. Have fun on the shoot and tell mum Juni and I say hi. Oh and Trixy misses you.”
“Will do. Bye Juni! Bye Jake! BYE TRIXY!! MUMMY MISSES YOU!” Juni waved bye and I ended the call.
“That was a fun call.”
“With Ella it always is.” I looked at the clock and saw it was 5.
“I wanna go get a tattoo.”
“Of what?”
“Wolf. I’ll talk with the artist and go from there.”
“Cool. I’ll get my sleeve fixed up.” We left the house and headed to a local shop that Jake’s been going to.
“Joey!”
“Jake!”
“Juni!” I yelled so I didn’t feel left out.
“What can I get for you set of siblings?”
“A wolf.”
“Jake?”
“fix up on the sleeve.”
“Well, Juni and I can go through some wolf designs and I can get Jay to do your sleeve.”
“Sounds cool man. I haven’t seen Jay since my Carolyn tattoo. How’s she been?”
“Good she’s got sleeves now.”
“Awesome.” Jake went into the back and left me with Joey.
“Well there’s a simple wolf and then we have this wolf which is a bit more fierce.” Then I saw it. A wolf that had the look of evil in it.
“that one.” I pointed to it. It had its claws out and it was growling.
“That’s my favorite.”
“In his paw, I want him holding a rag doll version of Death. And I want him to have scars and a razor blade piercing his neck.”
“Any meaning behind that? It sounds really cool. I have a feeling that’s there’s a reason for the extra’s”
“Well I love wolves. And well I’m a recovering cutter. I’ve survived death once before. I literally died and came back. And death claimed my mom’s life so the wolf is choking death as payback. So that explains death. And well the blade is because I was a cutter and it reminds me that even though I should be dead, I got lucky and beat Death’s calling.”
“Where would you like this?”
“back right shoulder blade.” Joey sketched it out and put the wax paper on. He started tattooing and we talked the whole time. It took me a good two hours. Jake had finished an hour ago. I looked at the final product and I hugged Joey. He added mom’s name on blade of Death’s scythe.
“Joey, thanks so much its perfect. Mom’s name is even cooler.”
“It’s nothing. I thought you’d like it.” I hugged him. He went to grab his phone when Jake came in.
“Hey Junipie.”
“Hi Jake.”
“Let me see your tattoo.” I turned around and showed him.
“That’s amazing.”
“I love it so much.”
“Let’s go. I already paid.”
“Alright. I’ll meet you in the car. Let me put my shirt on and say bye to Joey.” I put my shirt on after Jake left.
“Joey thanks again.” I hugged him and shoved a $100 tip in his pocket.
“juni I can’t take this.”
“yes you can. You made my tattoo and made it more special by adding mom’s name.” I hugged him and hopped in Jake’s car and headed to his house.
