Warped Tour
*Andy’s POV*
We caught our flight to NY and got there at about 10 pm. Juni slept on Jake the whole way there. The bus and Jon were waiting for us. Jake carried her to his bunk and he fell asleep with her. We got to the venue at about 1 am. We parked and I went to my bunk.
I was thinking about why Juni and I broke up. I know I said that I just didn’t feel the same way as I did before and she agreed but I think we were scared to get too serious and then have a horrible break up and then make things awkward between us and make it awkward for the band and the girls. Maybe I could ask her out again. Maybe on Warped Tour. I’m going to take it slow. I fell asleep with Sweet Blasphemy on low.
*Juni’s POV*
I woke up in a bunk sleeping on someone’s chest. I noticed the chest tattoo and realized it was Jake. I smiled and nuzzled into his chest. Wait, then where’s Ella? I snuck out of the bunk to see Ashley knocked out on the floor with Ella on top of him still clothed, thank god.
“Ella wake up. Go to Jake’s bunk. I’ve got Ashley.”
Ella mumbled and went to the bunks. I got Ash up and ended up falling asleep with him after getting him into his bunk.
I woke up an hour later to me falling out of Ashley’s bunk. He moved and kicked me. Dumbass.
CC came out of his bunk, surprisingly.
“Ash kicked you out?”
“Literally.”
“Wanna sleep in my bunk or play Xbox in my bunk?”
“Play and sleep.”
“That works.” I hopped into CC’s bunk FIRST and CC came in after me. He turned on the Xbox and gave me a controller while putting Call of Duty in. We played for two hours and then fell asleep.
*Jake’s POV*
I woke up with Ella sleeping on my chest. I thought Juni was sleeping with me. I guess she got out and then Ella came in. I looked at the time it was 10 am. Shit, we need to find out what time we’re playing.
“Ella, babe, wake up it’s ten.”
“mmmm fine.” Ella got out and then I came out engulfing Ella in a hug and kiss.
“Babe your hair.” I shook my head and ruffled it with my hands.
“Better?”
“Yes.”
Just then Jon texted me saying we were playing at 12:30 and we had a signing at 3. He said that he was going to fly out tonight to drop off Trixy for the sake of her health. Fair enough.
I got ready with my clothes and decided to get everyone else up. I’d do the war paint around 11.
“GUYS WE HAVE A SHOW AT NOON. WE HAVE TWO HOURS BEFORE THE SHOW SO GET UP NOW.” I yelled. Everyone groaned in response.
CC and Juni were the first out of the bunks. Juni grabbed her clothes and went to change in the bathroom. Ashley came out of his bunk next and Jinxx, Sammi, and Andy trailed behind.
“Morning.” Ella smiled. They all mumbled hey. Juni came out in black shorts and a red SWS tank top with white slip on vans. She had her black fishnet arm sleeve over her bandaged arm.
She slightly teased her hair. Juni sat on the couch and played with her phone.
Just then Ashley came out with a bucket of ice and dumped it on Juni. She turned around and gave a scary fucking death glare.
“Payback’s a bitch. I love you!” Ashley yelled while putting the bucket away.
“Dickhead. You’re lucky I’m not fully healed or else I’d beat your ass right now.” Juni got really defensive when she said the last part.
“Why are you so defensive all of a sudden?” CC blurted out.
“I need to go for a walk.” Juni got up and left the bus. I got up and followed her.
“Juni”
“What Jake?” She said coldly like I did something wrong.
“Calm down. I was just going to see what was up with you in the bus.”
“Because the ice melted on my wrap and the cold water stung my cut. It fucking burns Jake.”
“Juni…” I trailed off wrapping Juni in a hug.
“It’s fine. I didn’t mean to get super defensive. I know I have a high pain tolerance now, but the ice was freezing and one of the letters opened a bit…” I hugged Juni and sat down behind the bus with her. It was 11 when we got back into the bus. By then everyone was ready and Juni apologized to Ashley for getting defensive. I had finished my war paint at 11:30. We still had an hour before the show so we decided to walk around for half an hour and watch the set before us. Sleeping With Sirens were on before us so Juni was crazy happy when Kellin saw her. SWS ran off stage and Kellin engulfed her in a hug.
“Kell you did amazing!” Juni beamed.
“Thanks Rose. Hope to see you playing this tour.” Kellin used Juni’s middle name as her nickname.
“Maybe. Are you staying to watch?”
“Got a signing. Next time though. Love you.” Kellin waved us good luck and we ran on stage. Juni watched backstage.
We played Fallen Angels, Children Surrender, Perfect Weapon, The Legacy, Never Give In, and We Stitch These Wounds. We had the signing and a fan came up to me and cried. She said she stopped burning herself and trying to kill herself because our music had given her hope. She gave Juni a letter and then handed me a small note. I read it and I found out that she wants to be a lead guitarist one day and that I’m her favorite band member. She also said that everyone in her school knows about her self harm and attempts.
“You know what you can tell those mother fuckers?”
“What?”
“to fuck off and that your best friend is a famous person. Stick up your middle finger and be proud in the music you like. From now own just tweet me if you want some tips or some help on the road to recovery.” I showed her my old scars.
“I’ve been through it. And so hasn’t Juni. We both get it. If you need anything don’t be scared to tweet us or something. And if it gets bad I’ll fly out here with Juni just to make sure you’re okay. You’re an amazing young girl who happens to be lost. But I can help you find your way again.” She smiled and hugged me. I kissed her head and she got the others to sign a poster. I signed the poster and her wrist.
“Jake I promise I’ll never let you down.” She smiled and left. This is going to be a great year on Warped.
