Andy’s P.O.V

After the encounter with Maddie at Alternative Press, I decided to call the guys up for a meeting at my house.

“She’s in denial” CC said.
“I don’t really think she’s in denial, you’re losing the point here, Andy’s a dick” Ash said.
“Excuse me?”
“You’re a dick, you don’t deserve to be forgiven let along be with a woman like Maddie, if I was in her place, I would’ve been doing the same”
I rolled my eyes, “As if”
“Take it for what it is, you’re a fucking coward” he said. “You bailed out on her when she needed you the most”
“Would you just shut up?” Jinxx interfered. “I’m sure he feels guilty enough”
“Thanks,Jinxx, but let the non-preacher keep preaching, I have a lot of shit to say about you too”
“Fuck you”
“We both know you come straight out of Dickland and I wouldn’t be surprised if you had a child you don’t know about because of all the woman you’ve fucked and left behind, I’m sure those woman have no way of finding you, you promiscuous peace of shit”
“Hey!” Jinxxinterefered. “Enough!”
“Let him talk, he’s talking about me banging and leaving when he’s been doing the same shit!”
“Guys, seriously, it’s enough” this time it was Jake interfering.
I decided to let it go and it seems Ashley still wanted to go at it but he let it go too, there was an uncomfortable silence, nobody really wanted to speak just in case we went off on them.
Jake sighed and broke the silence, “Maddie is a strong girl, determined, willing to go forward without looking back, willing to call anyone out on their bullshit, that’s how she built her success and that’s how she’s been raising her child as a single mom”
“Right, she’s not looking to be involved emotionally with anybody” Jinxx said.
I sighed, “I already know that, she made that clear but there’s this part of me that really wants her, needs her”
“That’s your inner fuckboy speaking” Ash said. “What about Juliet, dumbass?”
“Don’t make me knock the headlights out of you”
“Wouldn’t mind if you do”
“Ash is right, though, what about Juliet?” CC said. “You need to make a decision about her”
“I don’t really want to break up with her”
“If you don’t want to break up with her then why try to get back Maddie?” he asked.
“I really think you should work on forgiveness and trust first” Jinxx said.
I had my friends rooting for me despite of my stupid mistake and that made me feel safe.
“So, first things first, continue to be a father to Aaliyah, that eventually would win herover” CC said.
“Nobody said I would stop being a father to my daughter”
“Be romantic but not in an obvious way, buy her flowers, take her out, movies, cook her dinner but still don’t be too obvious” Jake suggested.
“Make her feel she can trust you and be considerate at all times” Jinxx said.
I wasn’t really expecting Ash to give me advice but he did, “Whenever she’s ready to let you walk back into her life, she’ll let you know”
“Thank you, guys, it feels good to know I have your support”
“And we’ll try to help you but we need you to be aware that your decisions don’t only affect you now but they also affect a sweet, innocent girl” Jake said.
I nodded.

I would never hurt Aaliyah, she has nothing to do with my mistakes, she doesn’t need to pay for them, I do and I can only imagine how Maddie struggled to work her way up while being a single mom.

“There’s just something I’m not really understanding” I said. “Maddie could’ve sued me at any time for child support but she never did”
“Well either she loves you that much or she simply thoughtshe didn’t need you to successfully raise Aaliyah” Ash answered.
“Don’t you think there might be a probability of Aaliyah not being mine?”
“Are you listening to yourself?” Jinxx asked. “I swear you’re an idiot sometimes. Aaliyah needs someone compatible to her for her surgery, she looked for you among all people in the whole damn world because you’re her father”
“It could’ve been a coincidence and just to make sure I’m requesting a DNA”
“Wrong move, buddy” CC said as he shook his head. “Wrong move”

Eventually days passed and I requested the DNA test, it is supposed to arrive today in the mail, I was about to head and check if I received anything but my door got knocked. Why will the mailman knock on my door, though? I walked towards the door and opened it to see Maddie with an envelope in her hands, she gave it to me.

“You're a piece of shit, Andy” she said. “Requesting a DNA test at my backs? Doctor sent it to my office because just for you to know I have her custody and I never authorized a DNA test”
“I knew you wouldn’t let me do one”
“You doubt my word that much? You really think I was sleeping around?” she said. “Just for you to know you’re the last guy I was with and for the record, test came out 99.999%”
“Maddie...”
“One last thing, don’t you dare coming close to us, not me or Aaliyah, I’m done with you and I’m done for good” she said as she walked away.

I didn’t go after her because I seriously fucked up big time, I should’ve listened to the guys.
