Something Wicked This Way Comes

It All Comes Crashing Down

"Do you want me to walk with you inside?" Andy asked as he pulled at the bottom of her driveway.

"Uh- yeah. I think I'd feel safer." She smiled, sliding out of his car. He followed and linked his hand with hers.

"I'll walk you to the door." He said, running his fingers through his now wavy hair.

"Alright." She nodded. They joked around, talking softly until Elsie's stomach dropped.

The police were at her house. Her parents were outside and they were glaring holes through her and her new boyfriend.

"Shit." Andy said, his eyes wide. Elsie clutched to his hand as she stood frozen in her spot.

"Where the hell have you been!?" Evan ran to his child whose eyes were as wide as silver dollars. "We've been looking everywhere!"

"I-I-I.." She stammered not knowing what to say.

"She was with me, sir.." Andy said, placing his hand soothingly on the nape of her neck.

"Well what the fuck was she doing with you!?" Evan screamed, getting in Andy's face.

"Dad, I snuck out to meet Andy it's not his fault." She mumbled, standing in the middle of them.

"What would possess you to do that, Elsie?" Hallie said, shaking her head.

"I-I like Andy guys. I can't pretend I don't anymore." What good would it do to lie? They were caught.

"And I want to protect your daughter. I care about her and it would mean everything if we could have your-"

"No." Evan said, taking Elsie by the arm and yanking her away from Andy.

"Dad!" Elsie screamed.

"Sir, I would do anything for your daughter. Please." Andy's eyes were huge and pleading.

"I said no. We don't need you going around with trailer park trash, Elsie." Evan warned.

"Shut the hell up!" Elsie screamed. "You don't know anything about what that family is going through!"

"We know more than you think, now get inside." Hallie said.

"No." She pulled from her fathers grip and moved to Andy. She hugged him around the waist. "No, I won't leave him."

"Elsie I swear to god." Evan seethed.

"Dad, Andy means everything to me! Don't do this!" She pleaded, closing her eyes and hugging him closer to her. He was stroking across her back softly and he thought he saw Hallie smile a bit but Evan was steaming.

"Stop. Elsie get inside right now or you will be grounded until your fifty!" Evan shouted.

"Please!" Elsie yelled back, tears now streaming down her face. Andy wiped them away with his thumb and gave a soft kiss to her forehead as Evan berated them with angry words.

"Just let me prove to you that I can be with your daughter. She will be safe with me. I can provide for her and she is all I want in this world. Please, sir. I have so much respect-" Andy was cut off with the feeling of Evan's knuckles connecting with his face. He stumbled back, momentarily and looked up at him, blood falling from his nose.

"Andy!" Elsie screamed. Andy backed away and shook his head at her father. "Please don't go Andy." She said, swallowing and grabbing his hands.

"I won't leave you, Els." He whispered, pulling her back into his arms.

"Get off my property before I tell these cops to arrest you." Evan said, watching carefully as his daughter kissed the trash as hard as she could.

"It's not over, baby." He mumbled against her lips.

"I know." She whispered, tears falling down her cheeks. He wiped them away and kissed where they'd been.

"I'll be back for you." He said, pulling away and walking off.

"Don't come near my daughter again." Evan yelled, yanking her inside the house while Hallie waved the police off and thanked them.

Elsie's eyes were on his as she was pulled inside of her large home. "What the hell were you thinking Elsie Iris Rossin!? He is no good!"

"You don't know anything about him, dad!" Elsie sobbed.

"I know a lot!" Evan seethed. "You're my responsible one. I'm supposed to be able to trust you!"

"Why can't you trust that I know what I'm doing!?" Elsie shouted back. "I know he won't hurt me!"

"It's not that he'll hurt you, it's our name! I can't let you be with someone that has nothing." Evan said, making Elsie scoff. "His family is involved in things you'd never know about."

"Like what!?" She crossed her arms.

He sighed, putting his hands on his hips. "Your uncle was murdered two days ago."

"What?" Elsie's mouth hung open.

"And they believe it was connected to the murder of Andy's father."

"No.." Elsie shook her head. "I know what you're saying and no. He would never.."

"People can get angry, Elsie." Evan shook his head. "Everyone speculated that Milton killed Harry out of jealousy. Milt loved his mother, Maria. It was never proven but to this day that's why we didn't let you kids around him much. Andy could have figured that out and that's why we don't want you around him."

"What!? Is he a suspect? Andy doesn't know about this!" Elsie said, her heart pounding against her chest.

"If they find anything they will seize him, yes."

"Oh! And I wonder who came to the conclusion that it could be Andy?" Elsie growled. "I saw the mayors car here and now it all makes sense! You're pinning this on a boy and a family who has nothing!"

"Elsie-"

"Did you know that Andy's little sister has Leukemia?" Elsie asked, raising her brow. "Did you even think about what this would do to her!? Andy did not kill Milton and you won't find anything."

"You don't know anything, young lady."

"Fuck. You." She spit running upstairs to her room.

Andy rested his head back on his seat, his hands clutching the steering wheel. He had a girlfriend. He had someone to hold, to protect.

And now he couldn't.

"Fuck.." He mumbled under his breath before pulling away. The clock read 5:55 and he knew his mother was probably up and he probably had a lot of explaining to do.

He wasn't far away from the Rossin's house. Only about five minutes and when he pulled into the driveway he knew he was right.

His mother stood on the porch tapping her foot. "Where the hell have you been!?"

"I was out with.." He shook his head. "With Elsie Rossin."

"Yeah, I know who you were out with. I just got an earful from the mother." She rolled her eyes, pulling him into a hug as she noticed his bruising eye. "What's wrong with you, boy?"

"I don't know, ma." He sighed, pulling back. "I love her. She's just amazing and everything I could ever have wanted. And she feels the same way, ma!"

"But Rossin doesn't, huh?" She frowned as they walked inside the house.

"Not in the least. He hates me." Andy shook his head, grabbing a juice from the fridge.

"Well, luckily the Mirella farm is hiring." Maria chuckled.

"Ma.." Andy groaned.

"I know, I know. Love sucks." She said, sadly. "I always knew you were going to fall hard for someone."

He scoffed, "I fell off a mountain for this girl, ma." He shook his head. "I remember when she was a freshman in high school and I was a junior. All I wanted was to have her for myself. I fell for her that day but I never thought she could grow to love me too!"

She was silent for a moment, thinking of exactly what to say. A smile adorned Maria's beautiful face as she thought, images of her late husband popping into her mind and the love they shared. "Well then you can't let her go this easily."

"Let who go?" Haley asked, walking in the kitchen. She grabbed the milk out of the fridge, looking at her family expectantly.

"Your brother is in love.." Maria giggled like a sixteen year old girl.

"Ma!" Andy exclaimed.

"With who!?" Haley grinned, excitedly. "Please get married quick!"

"We're not getting married! Stop guys!" Andy groaned.

"It's Elsie Rossin." Maria said, nudging Haley's shoulder. "The youngest of the sophisticated Rossin clan."

"Ooh.." Haley cooed. "Are you guys a thing?" Andy blushed and buried his face in his hands making them both squeal.

"You know what? You guys are no help. I'll figure this out on my own.." Andy sighed, taking his juice and walking back to his room.

Notes

So I know this is moving fast relationship wise but it's because Andy's already loved Elsie for much longer than few months!

@anathema
Awh, thank you! I'm definitely still here! I started school last week and it's my senior year so I haven't had a lot of time to post up a chapter. I've actually written about 37 chapters of this story already and ALL of the elements play a really important part in things that happen later on. So, there is a reason they didn't use a condom. There is a reason Haley sick. There is a reason Allison died and I'm really glad that you can see that ;)

I just came to beg you to update, and saw you had this really low rating- what on earth? Someone in particular must have not liked one element a lot. Don't let it get to you. I think your writing is superb. I know it irritates me every time I read a story where they don't use protection unless they specify the chick's on the pill and have a conversation, but frankly, this is fan fiction, and soi feel like it all depends on the context. In the case of this story, it fit the context pretty well and your writing is superior. If they did it continually without a rubber and then were surprised when she got pregnant, or if she gets pregnant just now, and they're surprised, I'd get irritated, but I don't think you'd write that, because you're a smart cookie. So people need to get over themselves. this story is awesome. Come back!
