I walk back to the group with Taylor. Did it really mean nothing to her? It was nothing. But it didn't mean nothing. The batman theme song starts playing. I grab my phone from my backpocket but it wasn't me. Taylor brings her phone to her ear. She like batman too? "Yeah?" "Okay. Yeah. That's cool. Ew! Stop! That's gross don't tell me this! Why are you telling me this?" She rolls her eyes. "Yeah yeah. Love you too. Bye see you later." She sighs and smiles. Her smile makes my heart speed up a little. I don't know why. I have Juliet. I love Juliet and Juliet loves me. "Friends. Can't live with them. Can't live without them." I nod. "Yeah. I know the feeling. You like batman too?" "Oh my god yes!! I love him! He's amazing! I'd marry him if I could!" I feel my cheeks warm a little. I've dressed up as batman for Halloween for years now. "Yeah he's awesome!" She laughs.
We reach the edge of the forest. She stops. "Thank you. For stopping me and following me." I nod. "It's no big deal." She nods. I walk out after her. "Babe I think I'm done for today. Can we continue tomorrow?" Juliet asks. "Sure." Taylor says. We nods and she flashes us all back to the parking lot. She smiles, waves and disappears I got thin air. I smile to myself. I drive Juliet home and then go over to Ashley's house.
I walk in and drop down onto his couch. He raises an eyebrow and hands me a beer. He sits down across from me. I take a large "sip". He looks at me weirdly for a second. "What's wrong?" I at clueless. "What do you mean?" He glares lazily at me. I sigh. "It's Taylor." He nods. "Fire her then." My eyes widen and I quickly stand up. "What?!" My beer spills down my pants. "Shit! God dammit that's cold!!" He laughs for a second and then runs and gets me some black sweats and boxers. I go and change in the bathroom and walk back out. "I am not firing Taylor." Ashley shrugs. "Then what's the problem?" I open my mouth to answer but the door opens revealing CC, Jinx, and Jake.
"What problem? There's a problem?" They say sitting down on the couch. Ashley grabs four more beers and gives us each one. "It's Taylor." I say. "Fire her then." What the hell is with them and firing her? "No. She's a great wedding planner and is really nice. That's part of the problem." They raise their eyebrows. "How is Taylor being nice part of the problem?" My heart speeds up everytime I hear her name. "Because I think I like her. Like more than friends." They all say 'oh'. "So what do I do?" They shrug. "Do you love Juliet?" Jake asks. "Yes." I say nodding. "Then forget about Taylor. These feeling will go away. It's just a little crush." I nod and take a gulp from my beer. "Yeah. Thanks Jake." He nods and takes a gulp from his beer. CC and Ashley exchange glances but say nothing. I don't want to worry about Taylor anymore so I don't bring it up. The night ends in U.S. Playing Call of Duty, Taylor completely off my mind.
