Near Death Experiences
I wake up to a burning liquid throw on my skin. I open my eyes and see Chesire smiling with a bucket of nothing. I look and see Andy drenched also. Chesire sighs at us. "What am I gonna do to you two today?" I shudder at the thought. I see a black key poke through his crisp white shirt, that has yet to be stained with blood.
He snips off the other pant leg of Andy's pants. "There. Now they're even." He says smiling. He walks over to me and strokes my cheek. I hear Andy squirm giants his restraints. "You've cut you're hair since the last time I saw you." I move my head away from him. "Yeah well it's been seven years. Did you except me to never move on?" That remark earns me a slap and a slash across my other cheek. He sighs and runs his fingers through his hair. He hums a song that makes me cringe. Lucifer would sin it when he showed me want he could do if anyone got on his bad side.
"Alright. Lets get down to business." He grabs some scissors and chops my pants up to my thighs. I hear Andy squirm again and this time Chesire stabs him with the scissors. Right in the leg. I hold back a whimper and I watch Andy as he tries to contain his shout. Chesire come back and cuts off a good half of my vest, leaving my stomach exposed. He walks over to Andy and cuts off his vest. "You won't be needing these anymore." Chesire says as he throws them into the fire.
As he slinks over to the tray her grabs a long stick. A switchblade. He turns it on and smiles darkly at me. He walks over and I want to shrink away. He reaches me and presses the hard metal to my skin. I feel a deep shock of electricity run through my body. I feel myself shake uncontrollably and then nothing. Then the process repeats. Finally he stops and I feel myself slipping into darkness.
"Get up! It's no time for a nap!" He says after a second. I wake to see Andy staring in horror at my burnt skin. I smell the horrid smell and swallow back the bile that was coming up. He walks over to and with a gun and shoots him in the chest. He unchained me. "You have two hours to save him. Good luck." He says and walks out. I crawl over to Andy's crumpled form on the floor. "Please wake up!" I say rolling him on his side. I look for tweezers but there are none. I rinse my hands in the sink and sigh. I dig my fingers into his shoulder for the bullet. He screams in agony.
I pull it out and pour some rubbing alcohol in it. He grips my arm tightly. I sow it back up and rest my head against his. "Thank you. For saving. My life." I nod. "No problem." He kisses me and wounds his fingers into my short hair. I support his neck and kiss him back. He pulls away and rests his head against mine.
"Here I am, near death, and all I can think about is how much I love you." He says drifting off into a feel sleep. He loves me? "I love you too." I whisper softly back. A small smile seems to tug at his lips. Even though we're in hell, we still find a reason to smile.
