Andy's POV:

I watched as her small form drew closer to me. She looked timid, nervous.
"Are you done trying stuff like that Violet!? You're scaring the shit out of me-" But I was cut off.

And this time not by her words.

By her lips.

The kiss stole my breath away and I hope it took hers as well. She was holding onto me tight, like I was her boat in the middle of a river and I loved it.

Violet was perfect. Everything about her was what I needed.

I loved her.

And I think she loved me.

"Vi.." I whispered against her mouth, pulling back.

"I know my place, Andy. It's here. With you." She sighed, kissing me once again. I allowed my hands to slide down and pulled her even closer to me.

"I love you, Violet." I said, softly.

She smiled, bunching my shirt up in her hands. "I love you, too."

The words stole my breath away and I laughed, picking her up and spinning her around. She giggled, her arms tight around my neck. We stayed like that for a few minutes, the sun, beating down on our bodies.

"What changed your mind?" I asked her. She glanced in my eyes, my hand softly running over her hair.

She smiled, softly. "I realized what I already knew. I have no other family and you guys accepted me. You helped me.." She shook her head. "I can't thank you enough."

My eyes softened at her wonderful words and for the first time since my parents died. Since I was put in charge of this huge society, I felt loved.

Then we heard snickers behind us and turned to see all of the guys.

"Fucking finally.."

Violet and I spent the night together, talking and falling more in love. Her hands traced along my face as I spoke and mine did the same. I had never been in love, I'd never had anyone to call my own.

Many girls threw themselves at me but it was the way Violet didn't fall right into my hand like everyone else.

By the time she had fallen asleep, she was wrapped tightly in my arms as I looked down at her sleeping face. She was so beautiful, so at peace.

I gave a soft kiss to her forehead and placed her down on my mattress. I walked out quickly, leaving her to relax.

I went to check the perimeters of the camp, as I always do, before bed. It all seemed clear until I heard a sound behind me.

I whipped my head around, nothing was there and felt my heart pounding in my chest.

"Hello?" I called out, looking around. It was so dark I could barely see a thing.

Then I felt an intense impact against my ribs and fell down on the ground.

"Finally, we've got you Prophet."

The last thing I saw was the face of a Shadow Demon, glaring into my eyes.

Violet's POV:

I woke up, expecting to see Andy's beautiful face staring down at me but he was no where to be found. I sighed, sitting up and stretching my arms out.

My lips curved into a smile as I remembered the night before. The way Andy smiled down at me, his arms wrapping me in a warm hug.

He was perfect.

How was I so stupid before, denying what is the greatest feeling I've ever had?

I'm a real idiot.

I jumped out of bed, walking out the tent in search of the man I love.

I looked everywhere, the mess hall, the weaponry, even the medical unit and some of the other tents until she realized that she hadn't looked in the meeting room.
I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, bumping into a few people along the way.

I burst through the doors to see Ashley, Jake, Jinxx, CC but..

No Andy.

"Where's Andy?" I asked, my brows furrowed in fear.

"Violet, we have reports of people hearing someone yell your name last night and we believe it was
Andy..." Ashley swallowed hard.

"W-what does that mean?" I said, my eyes growing frantic.

Jake closed his, "Someone took him. He's gone.."

And then I lost it.
