A War Worth Fighting For

Raynes POV
Everything seems to be in order. All of our makeshift paperwork to make us legal citizens is put away, food shopping done, all the utilities are on. Everything is set to go. I look up at Andy and the guys watching tv and realize Jinxx isn't with them.
Andy sees me finishing the paperwork and stands, walking to me. "It's not easy being human again, is it?"
"No it's not." I laugh, "Where's Jinxx?"
"He went outside, said he needed to clear his head."
"Ok, I'm gunna go out and find him. You all ready for the girls to get here tomorrow?"
"Yeah, all the rooms are set up, clean sheets and all."
"Ok, I'll be back."
i step outside and off the porch. I look up to the point on the roof above my room, and see Jinxx sitting there, facing the creek. I spread my wings and fly up, making sure he sees me, and head over to the spot we first made love. Hopefully he'll follow.
When I land I hear his wings shift in the air, allowing him to gracefully land next to me. I turn to him and put my arms around his neck. "What's wrong baby?"
"this place just brings back so many memories. Good and bad. I'm just feeling a bit overwhelmed I guess."
"there's more than that Jinxx, talk to me."
"I miss us Rayne. I miss you being human. I miss the times we were able to spend together. Don't get me wrong, I am so proud of what you have become. I just hate the way it gets between us. You and I are constantly fighting the battles we are sent to and when we aren't fighting together I'm home, worried sick and alone."
I step away from him and sigh, flopping down onto my butt on the cold bank of the creek. I know he's right but as the head warrior, there is nothing I can do. Tears roll down my face. "I'm sorry baby. I miss us too. There are times I wish I wasn't a warrior, that I was just one of the angels that stay back, waiting for their warrior to return. Like the girls. But I would loose my mind sitting home waiting for you. At least when we fight side by side we are together, we know where the other is at all times."
" That is a plus side my love."
I hear the hint of a smile in his voice, and he kneels wrapping his arms around me. With a woosh he takes off, taking me with him. I scramble to pull my wings out, "How many times have I told you, DONT DO THAT WITHOUT WARNING ME?!?!"
He smiles big and laughs, "Now there's the Rayne I fell in love with."
"Shut up." I playfully smack him, his laughter contagious.
"Put your arms around my neck, and your legs around my waist." His hands fumble with my pants, pulling them off me, I wrap my legs tightly aroud his waist as he pulls his off. Both pairs falling to the ground.
Slowly he slips inside me, I stretch my back and put my wings away. "Like our first time time."
"Mmmm, rock your hips my love."
I do, and he feels so good. His hands helping me lift off him and slide back down. I move my hands to that spot between his wings and play slow circles on his skin.
"Oh god, Rayne."
I bite down into his shoulder, and scream. He cries out my name again. "Jinxx, bring us down. I need more."
We drop down the the same tree we first made love all those years ago. He pins me to it, pressing his body against mine, thrusting his hips upwards and harder into me.
He looks me in the eyes, with a lust filled smile. My heart skips, and I moan.
" Are you ready my love?" his hand rests on my cheek, "cum for me."
With a rush, his emotions surge through me, everything he's feeling I feel. "Oh fuck, Yes baby! Ahhhhh!!"
"Kiss me my love."
i press my lips to his as he wraps his arms around me tighter, his thrusting stills as he empties himself into me, my lips muffling his cries. He pulls from me panting, holding me close.
"I love you Jinxx."
"My love, my world. I love you too."
"let's get home and get some rest, Gabriel will be here with the girls tomorrow with our orders, let's finally enjoy a night wrapped in each others arms."

When we get to the house, Andy is sitting on the couch, all the others have gone to bed. "What's wrong Andy?"
"old habits die hard I guess. You may be head warrior, but you are still our little Rayne. It's just so good to be home."
Jinxx and I smile at him as we retreat into our room. I hear the tv go off and it's silent. I climb into bed next to Jinxx, leaving my wings away ao he can wrap us in his like old times. There is no hustle and bustle of the angels outside, no sounds of wings in the night sky. It's so silent it's deafening, until Jinxx starts snoring. I curl myself around him laughing. This is our last night of peace, of nothing out of the ordinary. I close my eyes and dream of my man, in his armor, rescuing me when I was human.

Ok, so a little fluff and good memories from the previous story. Jinxx and Rayne are still Jinxx and Rayne. :) more tomorrow
