Andy and Sophie lay together on Sophie’s bed, her arms around his neck, his round her waist and their lips locked in a passionate kiss. It was as if the world had just disappeared around them and all that was left was just them, locked in their blissful moment. For what seemed like hours, but were only a few minutes, the two remained intertwined, until Sophie pulled away.

“Andy what just happened…”

“I believed we kissed…”

“Yeah I know that but … why?”

“I don’t know but I want to do it again…”

In answer Sophie locked her lips with Andy’s once more in an even more passionate kiss. Andy pulled Sophie on top of him and retaliated by licking her lips to make her part them and he slid his tongue into her mouth to tangle it with hers. They fought for dominance, a battle which Andy easily won.

This time it was Andy who pulled away.

“I think I know the answer now…”

Sophie tilted her head and gave Andy a puzzled look.

“I… I think I love you…” Andy whispered.

A tear fell from Sophie’s eye, but this was a tear of happiness.

“I think I love you too…” Sophie whispered back.

“Sophie will you be my girlfriend?”

Sophie nodded and Andy kissed her again, a kiss even more passionate than the first two. They lay entwined again, lost in each other… until there was a knock on Sophie’s door that made them pull apart.

“Soph sweet everything is very quiet up here is everything okay?”

Sophie rolled off Andy and the pair of them sat up, “Yes mom… you can come in if you want.”

The door opened and Karen walked in. Sophie gave her mom a very innocent looking smile… not that it was needed she was 20 years old now she was entitled do what she wanted… except legally drink. Her mom had also said that she did need to move on from what happened and find someone new. Well now she had. Amber was going to kill her when she found out.

“So is this the Andy you’ve been telling me so much about?” Karen asked her daughter.

“Yes mom. And I haven’t told you that much,” she said seeing the quizzical look Andy was giving her.

“Well he’s certainly very handsome you didn’t mention that.”

“Well I didn’t like to say too much because of Amber…”

“What’s wrong with your sister knowing?”

Sophie sighed, “Well you know the band Amber is utterly obsessed with?”

Karen nodded, “Yes Black something?”

“Black Veil Brides,” Sophie finished “Well Andy here is their lead singer so I didn’t want Amber to know because she’d freak out and probably hate me and if not that she’d stalk me everywhere.”

Karen’s eyes widened, “You’re a celebrity?” she asked Andy. Andy nodded, “That I am ma’am.”

“Well Sophie dear you do know how to pick them don’t you? From raving lunatics to celebrities… what’s next the head of a mafia company?”

“Mom you just made me sound like a total slut thanks a lot! Today is hard enough as it is…”

Karen looked taken aback, “Well I’m sorry I didn’t mean for it to sound like that and what do you mean?”

Sophie snapped.

“Jonathon was released today!!!” she yelled, “If he finds me he will hurt me!!”

“Baby I won’t let that happen,” Andy said putting his arms around in attempt to calm her down, “but don’t take it out on your mom it isn’t her fault…”

Sophie turned and buried her face into Andy’s chest and cried again, “Andy I’m scared.”

“Shh babe I’m here.”

“I had almost forgotten…” Karen whispered.

“I had forgotten till I woke up with a text from him…”

“How?!” Karen asked bewildered, “You had your number change as soon as he went to jail!”

Sophie shrugged, “I wish I knew.”

“If he comes near you baby or hurts you I will hurt him!”

“No Andy… I don’t want you to get involved… I don’t want you to get locked up.”

“I’m not going to kill him,” said Andy, “Just beat him to a pulp.”

“No Sophie is right,” Karen said “and Jonathon shouldn’t be stupid enough to come near Sophie because he know if he does he’ll be straight back inside again.”

“But he’s stupid that’s the problem…”

“Hey I’m home!”

“Oh great Amber’s back…”

“Hello honey,” Karen called to her younger daughter, “we’re upstairs in Soph’s room.”

“Brace yourself,” Sophie whispered to Andy as Amber’s footsteps were heard coming up the stairs. Andy nodded, “I know but I’m used to it…”

“Hi mom,” Amber greeted her home with a cheery smile, “Hi... “

Amber didn’t get to Sophie’s name before her eyes fell on Andy. Her eyes widened and her jaw dropped like a stone of a cliff.

“H-How… W-What… Why?” Amber managed to splutter.

“Oh,” Karen grinned, “Amber meet Andy, Sophie’s new boyfriend.”

Now it was Sophie’s turn to brace herself.

“S-Sophie’s… w-what…”

“Hi Amber…” it was Andy’s turn to join in the fun, “Sophie’s told me a lot about you. I hear you’re a big fan.”

“U-Uh y-yes…” Amber stuttered, her shock now worsening due to Andy actually speaking to her.

Sophie couldn’t help but laugh. “Amber I suggest you go to your room and compose yourself girl…”

“I’ll deal with this. Come on Amber…” Karen escorted her daughter out of the room and closed the door behind her.

“Well she didn’t scream at least,” said Sophie relieved.

Andy nodded, “Yeah I guess not.”

“I love you Andy”

“I love you too Sophie… holy fuck is that the time?! Babe I’ve got to run!”

“I didn’t think you had to work today?” Sophie asked confused.

“Not in the studio… but I have an interview in 2 hours.”

“Oh okay.”

Andy pulled Sophie onto his lap for another passionate kiss. Neither could bring themselves to pull away. Andy’s phone gave them no choice.

“Hey Ash. Yeah I’m on my way. I’ll be there in about 20. Yeah okay… bye.”

Andy put his phone in his pocket, “I really have to go.”

“I’ll let you out.”

After a few more quick kisses, Sophie led Andy downstairs to see him out.

“By the way your house is amazing!” Andy said, “What does your mom do for a living?”

“She works at some big chemical company…”

“If you don’t mind me asking… where’s your dad?”

Sophie hung her head low, “He’s dead…”

“Oh gosh Soph I’m so sorry I shouldn’t have asked!”

“Its fine there’s no way you could have known…”Sophie gave Andy a reassuring smile as she opened the front door.

Andy hugged her and kissed her once more, “I’ll text you later babe. I love you.”

“Okay. Enjoy your interview, I love you too.”

Sophie watched as Andy ran down to his car, got in and drove off. She had been right, Andy was different… and she loved him for it.
