LuxeDoll: Planes<3 @AndyBVB

It had been a month since the couple had seen one another and both of them had been working hard to get their records up and running. Andy and the guys had been in and out of the studio, working on various things but it was all finally coming together. They’d picked out a name for their record and of course there was the entire concept they had going on.

It was based on a few dreams that Andy’d had where there was a Utopian kind of world where everything was ruled over by a cult called F.E.A.R. He and the band were a group named The Wild Ones and they were the leaders of a rebellion aptly named Legion of the Black. Several songs were written, tracked, but Andy was having a hard time with two slower songs that he wanted on the album.

Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones was the biggest project they had ever worked on and there was even going to be a movie. Currently though Andy was walking through Seattle Airport, looking around for his baggage claim and Luxe. Being away from Luxe had been painful, but it had helped the two of them to grow closer than ever.

Every night they would meet on Skype, have dinner together and then just talk over things that were going on. Andy was there for Luxe, helping her work through some of her demons and trying to get her to let things out through her words. He had liked what he heard, but Andy couldn’t help but worry.

Luxe had a problem when they were together-Coke- and he had heard whispers of her using Heroin a few times, but of course she had stayed sober. But when Luxe got stressed out, when Alex got to her and told her she was nothing without him-which was his latest mantra after the couple refused to end things-she would revert back to the anxious and depressed girl she had been when they first got together. Things seemed okay and Char was keeping Andy in the loop when it came to Luxe and her problems, but he couldn’t help but worry.

Suddenly a screech sounded out from across the baggage claim area and Andy looked up just in time to see a blonde haired girl running at him, tossing her arms around his neck. He held on to that girl, pressing him against his body tightly and it felt like perfection having her there once again. It had been lonely, especially at night and Andy’s insomnia had come back with a vengeance. It was great for his work, but terrible for his heart and his mind.

Andy pulled away from Luxe, holding her by her arms as he just took everything about her in. The small girl was clothed in a pair of high waisted shorts-it was the middle of July and incredibly hot-a white tank top with a plaid long sleeved shirt wrapped around her skinny waist. She had lost weight, a lot of weight and Andy found that he didn’t like it. He loved Luxe as she was and was now concerned that she was starving herself per Alex’s requirements. Her blonde hair had grown and was thick with tangles and knots.

Still it felt amazing to hold her once again and Andy quickly placed his lips against her own. Luxe melted against him, sighing peacefully as her small hand came to rest against his broad chest while her other hand curled its fingers around his growing hair. It was past his shoulders now, his long black bangs hanging in front of his light blue eyes that made her soul catch on fire.

His skinny frame was sheathed in a leather jacket, his torso covered in a ragged Black Flag shirt and the ever present skinny jeans that covered his long legs which ended in a pair of studded cowboy boots. Andy was back in her life and Luxe only hoped that he could make things right again.

“I missed you so much Luce.” Andy said, his voice low and husky in her ear as his long fingers trailed down her sides and gripped her boney hips. She felt like a skeleton and Andy’s first mission was to feed her until she was back to her normal weight. He loved Luxe with some meat on her bones-he loved her the way she had been when they had first met.

“I know. It feels like half of my heart has been missing.” She said as she looked up at him. Her grey eyes were dead looking, sad and Andy knew that Luxe had been going through a very deep depression. He was only here for a week-that was all the time he could spare before they went in to full on production of the album, finishing it up and then working on album art, interviews and concepts for the movie.

“Well I’m here now. Come on…you hungry?” He asked, keeping his tone light as to not worry her. Luxe only smiled, nodding her head as she reached down, wrapping her ring covered fingers around his own. Andy smiled, kissing the top of her head as the two of them walked towards the baggage carousel.

“Uh, sure.” She said, smiling at him but he could tell that it wasn’t a genuine Luxe smile. Something was going on…something was up.

“I mean if you don’t want to…we can always eat later.” He said, smirking at her and she felt her heart stop beating. God it was the lopsided grin that had made her fall for him-hard. What would he think of her now? What would he do if he knew she was full blown addicted with no intentions of stopping?

“No, no it’s fine. I just need to make a stop. Is that okay?” She asked and Andy only smiled as he reached down, grabbing his one bag and then turned to face her.

She was sick looking, her eyes hallowed out and where there had been a happiness there-now they were dead. Her hair was ragged looking, unkept and filled with knots and her finger nails were down to the quick. Her skin, usually so lovely and pale, was now tinted a slight yellow color, sallow and sickly looking. Her clothing hung on her frame and Andy couldn’t understand how someone could look like this after only a month. Was she using again? Andy felt his heart leap in his chest at the thought, but Char would’ve told him if she had noticed anything.

He knew the girls had been having some issues with the record-Alex wanted them to go in one direction, while Butch, their producer, and the girls wanted to go in another. The girls wanted a grungy sound, hard rock, while Alex wanted almost a pop punk sound. The girls weren’t pop punk and some of the songs Luxe had told him about seemed to even go as far as to sound pop, but Alex kept threatening to pull the project and send them packing.

He was taking it all out on Luxe-calling her fat on a daily basis, telling her that her voice wasn’t where it needed to be and that she was a failure. Andy had found all of this out from Char, who was completely scared for her bandmate, but he still felt like there were secrets being kept from him.

“So how’s the record coming?” He asked her as they walked out to the car that Luxe had been given to use. It was a small little speedster of a car, all black inside and out and Andy almost got whiplash when Luxe pulled out of the lot and sped up to a quick 60 mph.

“Stressful. Alex won’t drop the popstar sound he’s been pushing. We aren’t All Time Low nor Paramore, but he won’t let it go.” Luxe said as she pushed the car to a breakneck speed of 80. Andy noticed that they were in downtown Seattle-where grunge had been born and raised.

“Well just stay strong babe-he can’t control you.” Andy said and then looked at his surroundings. The buildings they were driving past were all dilapidated and rundown, people standing on the corners of them, calling out to cars as they passed. They were out of downtown Seattle and now were driving through the slums. What could Luxe possibly need that was out this way?

“I mean he can, but we’re just not caring anymore. The girls and I are fed up. I guess it’s a good thing this happened because we’ve all gotten close again. Mads and I are pretty much inseparable now.” She said and Andy smiled. He had been worried about the girls-they had completely broken apart after the tour, barely speaking to one another, but now it seemed like all was well.

“That’s great! I’m glad you guys are back to normal…I told you that would happen with the new record.” Andy said and then noticed that they were coming to a stop outside of a decent looking building. It was a club, at least by the sign outside it was a club. The Naked Rooster-strange name, but Seattle was a strange place.

“Yeah, hey-I’ll be right back. Stay here.” She said to him, unbuckling her seatbelt but Andy reached out and grabbed her wrist. Something wasn’t right-Luxe seemed nervous and Andy could just tell that something was off.

“Luxe-what are we doing here?” Andy said, his tone guarded and Luxe tried to keep her face calm. What were they doing here? Well her dealer couldn’t come to her place before Andy’s plane landed and she was all out-so they had to make a stop.

“Oh! Butch lives above the bar and he had some stuff that he wanted me to look over. Lyrical ideas for a few songs we’re trying to work on.” She was smiling at him, but it was strained and Andy knew that she was lying. Something was going on, but he just couldn’t figure out what it was.

“Oh, okay. Will you be long?” He asked as he rolled down his window, the warm air quickly filling the car. He needed to smoke and so as Luxe gathered her bag from the back seat, Andy rooted around in his pocket for his cigarettes.

“Nope. Few minutes tops and then we can get something to eat. Sound good?” She said, finally turning to look at him and Andy only nodded.

“Sounds perfect.” He said softly, pecking her on the lips and Luxe only smiled before getting out of the car and slamming the door behind her.

Andy watched as Luxe crossed the street, her skinny legs looking like they could barely hold her up, until finally she stopped at the hidden front door of the building. Why would a music producer live above a bar? Especially one as well known as Butch Vig? Andy wasn’t a fan of grunge music, but he had grown up in the 90’s and knew about Nirvana and the way they changed music forever.

A lot of rockers blamed the Seattle grunge scene for the death of 80’s rock, but really it had just gone in to hibernation. Andy watched as Luxe stood at the door and then it popped open and she disappeared inside. Why was she having to stop by his place if they girls were just going to see him in the studio tomorrow?

Andy felt uneasy as thoughts raced through his brain, thoughts that made his blood boil. Was she sleeping with him? The producer was being paid by the record company to work on the record, but he was strangely supportive of the girls instead of working for Alex. Why was that?

Andy sat there, smoking cigarette after cigarette for nearly ten minutes before finally Luxe came back outside. She looked fine, her hair was pulled back in a bun, but other than that she looked the same as when she did when she went in to the building. The car door opened and Andy watched as she tossed her bag into the back, papers spilling out of it. A quick look and Andy felt stupid-they really were lyrics that Butch had obviously given her to look over.

Why didn’t Andy trust Luxe? He had always been able to trust her.

"Ready to go?” She asked, her eyes bright once again and Andy only smiled. This was the Luxe he knew and loved…this was the girl he wanted his forever to be with.

“Absolutely. Show me Seattle.” They smiled at one another, but on the inside they were both screaming to tell the other how they truly felt.

Told you it wouldn't last.

@Giacobra

I'm so glad you found this little gem. Sadly this was my last full story, but I do have a few other serial stories on this site which are different from this one, but just as well written. You can find all of them in my profile<3

So I can honestly say I didn't discover this story until recently. When I first started reading it I knew it would be one of my favorites from this site. I saw the sad ending coming but dear god I was still not prepared in any way. You wrote everything so genuinely and in a way that showed an amazing range of real and raw emotions. I may or may not have been crying profusely through the last chapters. This was a beautiful, bittersweet, and amazing story and I look forward to anything else you may ever decide to write. Thank you
