Love And Other Drugs

A Hard Realization

The sun shown through the great windows of LAX airport and chaos seemed to surround the small group of people waiting to get through security. Their week was up and now it was time for Andy and Luxe to say goodbye as the girls were heading North to work on their album. BVB was staying in California, but they would be shut in John Feldman’s compound, working on their own album that had become incredibly conceptual and complex.

Andy had been writing like a mad man over the past few days and his dreams had been troubled, but it was all fueling his plans for the album. The girls had yet to figure out what they wanted to do, but Andy knew they would figure it out and hopefully mend broken friendships in the process.

Currently Luxe had her arms wrapped around him, her head pushed into his chest and he could feel her hot tears as they leaked through his thin shirt. His black hair had grown and was now almost to his shoulders and as he pulled her away from him slightly, Andy smirked and looked Luxe in the eye. They had shared in something so beautiful and amazing, not to mention fun and sexy as fuck, over the past week and it had completely changed their relationship.

He had loved her before, but now he was madly and deeply in love with Lucinda Abernathy. She knew every inch of his body and he knew every spot on hers that could drive her wild. They had spent all of yesterday in bed, they ate food and one another until the wee hours of the morning before finally passing out.

Now it was time to say goodbye and Andy had never imagined that it would be this hard.

“Baby…I think it’s time for you to go.” Andy said lowly and he was right. All of the girls were standing around, their arms crossed as they waited for the couple to finish their little session. Ash, CC, Jinxx and Jake had all come to the airport as well to wish the girls luck, but even they were ready to go.

“I can’t.” She said pitifully and Andy only smiled as he placed his hands on her shoulders and pushed her slightly. Their eyes met and his own baby blues filled with tears as he saw how red and swollen her grey ones were.

“Yeah you can. You kind of have to because I don’t think they can make that record without you.” He was trying to make a joke, but Andy knew that deep down Luxe felt useless. Alex had done that to her and Andy would make sure that one day that worm would get what he deserved.

“Are you going to miss me?” She asked as she looked up at him. Her blonde hair was pulled back, her bangs still falling her face and her face was covered in minimal makeup. She looked the part that Alex wanted her to look, but Andy could still see Lucinda touches.

“I am, very much, but can you promise me something Luce?” Andy asked and Luxe only nodded. Andy smiled as he got closer, his lips almost touching her ear as he began to whisper.

“Promise me that you’ll stay sober. Focus on your music…it’ll help.” He said and then pulled away from her. Luxe only nodded her head slowly and Andy smiled before pressing his lips to her’s. Her sobriety was key and Andy knew with him not being around that Luxe was going to be tested.

“Good. I love you and I will see you in a few weeks when I come to visit.” Andy said and Luxe seemed to brighten at the mention of his visit. He had arranged for a small break between writing and tracking to go see Luxe for a few days, hoping that it would help keep her on the right track.

“I love you too.” She said and then they shared in one last kiss before Andy pulled away. It was time for Luxe to go and Andy had to hold on to the railing as he watched her walk away to keep from chasing after her.

Andy felt his heart beating, so fast he was sure he was going to have a heart attack. He watched her walk away, her black hoodie tight against her body and her black yoga pants showed off her cute little butt. Andy smiled as he thought back over their lovemaking, but his smile disappeared as he lost sight of Luxe and he felt like crying out. He shouldn’t let her go-there was no way she was going to be able to stay sober and Andy knew he was going to have to prepare for her arrival home and instant detox. He hated to think that way and really he should be focusing on his own work, but he couldn’t help it.

Two songs would be going on the record that Andy had written with Luxe in mind and he could only hope that it would help him deal with everything. Luxe worried him, her problems plagued his thoughts every single day and he didn’t know what to do about it. She was so talented, but she was allowing stupid and petty things to drag her down and it frustrated him to no end. Andy waited in that spot for another ten minutes and then finally walked out as Ash had threatened to drag him out. They would all hop in to a car and head out to Santa Monica.

“She’ll be okay man.” CC assured him from the back seat and Andy only nodded as he hunkered down in his own seat and stared out the window.

Would she?

“Yeah. I’m sure Alex will keep her busy. How’s it been living together?” Jake asked and Andy smiled as his head leaned up against the window and he thought it over. Wonderful. Amazing. Incredible. All of those words and so much more.

“It’s been fun.” He said simply and the guys all chuckled.

Andy always got really quiet when he was feeling depressed and they knew the best thing to do was to leave him alone. He would get it out of his system…he would take it out on their record.

Luxe sat in her seat, the belt buckled just as she had been instructed, and her head was up against the triple paned windows. Char was seated beside her, the purple haired girl staring straight ahead with her buds in her ears and her fingers fidgeting in her lap. Luxe wanted to speak out to her, to try and make things right, but she didn’t know what to say. Pixie and Lulu were seated in front of them, silent, and Mads was across the aisle, already sound asleep with her mouth hanging open. It was a short flight, but it was faster than driving and Alex wanted them to start on the writing right away.

Luxe didn’t even know what she was going to write about or what she should write about and she was hoping that Char would talk to her so they could brain storm. She didn’t know why any of the girls were mad at her or why they were mad at one another, but Luxe knew it couldn’t go on for much longer.

They were supposed to be a team-sisters and yet they had turned in to enemies. Slowly Luxe turned her head and smiled as she noticed that Char was looking at her. Purple hair shielded her eyes for the most part, but Luxe could tell that she was being looked at. It was now or never.

“You excited for the album?” Luxe asked and felt relieved when Char smiled at her. The purple shield was brushed aside and the two girls were left staring at one another.

“Yeah it’ll be interesting to see what we come up with.” Char said, her tone guarded. It had been so long since they had really spoken to one another and their last words to one another were hot on their tongues. Things had been said, hasty things that were now regretted but they could be taken back.

“I know. I don’t even know where to begin.” Luxe admitted and the girls shared in a laugh and then grew quiet. Char looked like she wanted to say something, but didn’t know how to bring it up.

“I’ve got a few ideas.” Char said, her words hanging in the air and Luxe knew she would have to be the one to apologize first. Taking in a deep breath, she smiled and looked towards her best friend and bandmate.

“Look Char, I’m sorry about what happened when we were on tour.” Luxe said and the guitarist had to take a moment to process the apology. Luxe had said things, but so had Char and all of the girls were on the outs because they couldn’t see eye to eye.

It was pretty well known that Luxe had a problem-they all had problems truthfully- and they couldn’t agree what to do about it. Char and Lulu thought that the partying had gotten out of hand and needed to slow down or stop all together, but Pixie and Mads still wanted to live the life. Mads was passed out drunk right now and it had been a struggle to get her on the plane. Pixie wasn’t an addict, so she didn’t understand why Luxe just couldn’t stop whenever she wanted to.

They had fought and now no one was talking. If it hadn’t been for their contracts, Char wouldn’t even be in this band anymore, but she was stuck and had to make the best of it.

“I know and I’m sorry too. What’s going on with you?” She asked and Luxe wasn’t sure how to answer that. She had been fine since coming home from Australia, but fine just meant that her dirty little secret hadn’t gotten out. The space between her fingers and her toes were perfect as the marks were small and untraceable.

“I’m fine now, but I was getting in to some really heavy drugs…Coke every day and even Heroin.” She admitted and Char just stared. She knew about the Coke, but where in the Hell did Luxe get Heroin from?

“Shit. But you’re clean now?” Char asked and Luxe only nodded. If she didn’t say it outloud then it wasn’t a lie. The worst thing to do right now was to lie because sooner or later it would come back to her.

“Andy’s been a big help.” Luxe said and Char only smiled. Andy Biersack-she hated the kid for the most part, but couldn’t deny that he was a pretty good guy, especially when it came to Luxe.

“Yeah, it’s gonna be hard without him I’m sure. You can lean on me though Luxe…I’m kind of over the partying myself.” Char said as she tucked some of her purple hair behind her twice pierced ear and Luxe felt like a weight had been lifted.

“Thanks, I really wasn’t looking forward to doing this alone.” Luxe said and both girls smiled at one another.

They lapsed back in to their old way of talking to one another-half sarcasm and half witty remarks and soon enough they had gotten on to the topic of the record. Char had some good ideas-a lot of them seemed to be circled around Alex and his controlling ways of all the girls, but especially over Luxe. They had seen what the manager had done to the singer, heard his degrading words to her about her looks and now it was time to get some revenge. Alex wasn’t the producer on this record and so he had little control and wouldn’t hear much of what was going on. The smarmy shit had tried to worm his way in to the studio but their producer had told him to fuck off and he would call Alex when the girls were ready.

“So, are we good?” Luxe asked after an hour of non stop talking. Char only laughed, smiling as the plane began to land and they both closed their eyes. Landing was the worst part of flying…almost like making up was the hardest part of fighting with someone.

“Better than good I think. I missed you kid.” Char said and both girls wrapped their arms around one another and hugged for what felt like forever.

It was good having someone to lean on and as Luxe stood and grabbed her carryon, Char tossed an arm around her shoulders. They were back to old times, except this time the girls were in control and not Alex McFadden.

Notes

So everything seems to be getting on track. The girls are talking again, a new record is being made-without Alex-and Luxe and Andy are better than ever.

Now watch it all crash and burn.

@Giacobra

I'm so glad you found this little gem. Sadly this was my last full story, but I do have a few other serial stories on this site which are different from this one, but just as well written. You can find all of them in my profile<3

So I can honestly say I didn't discover this story until recently. When I first started reading it I knew it would be one of my favorites from this site. I saw the sad ending coming but dear god I was still not prepared in any way. You wrote everything so genuinely and in a way that showed an amazing range of real and raw emotions. I may or may not have been crying profusely through the last chapters. This was a beautiful, bittersweet, and amazing story and I look forward to anything else you may ever decide to write. Thank you

You do a wonderful job getting the reader emotionally involved in this story, and I'm really glad that I was able to read this wonderfully written piece. Thank you for all of the time and hard work that went into this story. It is definitely one of the best that I have read in a really long time.
