Gift of Love
Prologue
After spending up until a few days before Christmas on the road once again, Black Veil Brides were back in their homes in sunny Los Angeles. The current date was three days after New Year’s, and they were glad they got over a month to spend at home with their families. Jinxx and Sammi had welcomed a handsome baby boy they named Miles Blaze Ferguson into the world just four days before they started this last tour, which resulted in the graphic designer and mother of two staying home from touring this time around.
The band’s bassist, now married to their frontman with three children of his own, was finally starting to cope with his latest pregnancy on top of the rigors of being a touring musician. Yes, Ashley Biersack, formerly known as Ashley Purdy, is male and is pregnant. He was born with a biological gift that only about ten percent of the population have, but wouldn’t have it any other way.
As for the remaining two members of Black Veil Brides, guitarist Jake Pitts and drummer Christian “CC” Coma, they’re just as thankful as their brothers to be off the road for a while. Like Ash, CC was born with the biological gift to conceive and carry children the way a woman would, and although he’s not as far along as the bassist, he too, is pregnant. Granted, it’s with his second child, not his fourth, but pregnancy is draining, no matter how many times one goes through it. At eight weeks gestation, not only is he still dealing with feeling drained, but the hellacious morning sickness that he dealt with while pregnant with their son, CJ.
Basically, no matter how one looked at it, it was time for the quintet to get a break so they could spend time with their loved ones, especially their children, and catch up on well-deserved rest. Their fans, the BVB Army, were more than understanding since, along with their marriages, they’d released the news of their children. No one said anything, be it verbally or in some other manner, to bash the guys for wanting some alone time, and now they were finally getting it. Granted, they knew they had yet another short tour coming up in late-February that would run through almost mid-March, but after that, they were taking several months off. Not just to spend time with their families, but to start on their fourth album, as well.
Times would be tough and one never knew the curve balls they’d get thrown, but they were adept at taking the punches life swung at them and swinging back. This is their story of the pursuit of life, love, and happiness, and how they deal with the insanity that is being a famous, touring musician while trying to live as “normal” a life as they can.

Well, America is much the same way. We have many different accents that can sometimes originate one right on top of the other. We'll use the Deep South, which is where I'm from, for the example here. We all have thick, "redneck" accents, but each state has its own variations. Tennessee and Texas both use hard vowels, states like Georgia and Louisiana have thick, syrupy drawls. Tennesseans actually have a bit of a thick, syrupy drawl, but still throw in the hard vowels, too. However, I've heard people say that folks from places like Missouri (which is more Midwest than not) have a bit of a Southern twang to their voices. Trust me, the day I hear someone like Ashley Purdy mimic the same accent I use, especially when pissed or otherwise emotional, like he was born, bred, and raised here in the Deep South...well, that'll happen when monkeys fly outta my ass. *shrugs*
I'm not so sure that This is Gonna Hurt could possibly do much to change my perspective on things. I already don't see things the way most people do, and I tend to find beauty in things that most others don't. Although I can have a superficial moment from time to time, I usually see what's on the inside and that's what I always base my final judgments on.
