Far And Away.

Your Forever

The bare trees wove out to them as they passed and Flora could only smiled as Andy's hand griped her own tightly. They were taking the long way home-enjoying the time together before the holiday craziness set in. They were enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and Flora almost wanted to just close her eyes and let Andy lead the way. She trusted him-more than anyone besides in her mother-and she knew that he would never steer her wrong. Finally they made it to a small path-a running path in the spring and summer, but now it was abandoned until warmer weather set in.

"The guys really liked their jackets." Andy said, breaking the silence and Flora only smiled as she looked up at him. His black hair was mostly covered with his black knit beanie and his blue eyes were shining in the fading sun.

"I'm glad. What about you?" She asked and Andy only smiled and pulled the collar of his jacket around his shoulders more.

"Of course Ilove it...just like I love you." He said, his fingers tickling the bottom of her chin.

Slowly Flora raised her face to meet his and their lips met in a soft kiss.

Flora wove her hands in the soft strands of his hair, tugging lighting as she smiled in their kiss. The day had been perfect, with sky was a crystal blue, the colors starting to fade and blend together and the wind was kissing their cheeks softly as they ended their kiss. Andy didn't pull away, but instead he rested his forehead against her's and Flora became lost in his eyes. This was the person she was supposed to be with-Andy was the man who was going to always be there for her.

Flora had gone through a lot in her life and the one thing that always seemed to haunt her was her father. She had loved that man-she had always been a daddy's girl, but then Flora's relationship with him had ended when he walked out. Her world had crashed and Flora quickly promised herself that she wouldn't let anyone else in. Then Andy had walked in to her world and promptly turned it upside down. She had hated him, hated the very thought of him, but truly she had been scared of him.

Andy brought something out in Flora she had kept hidden-her ability to love.

"So, what are we going to do come spring time?" Flora asked as they kept walking, their hands clasped together tightly. Andy seemed to be thinking, his blue eyes facing forward.

"Well you were going to college right?" Andy asked and Flora chuckled. She knew that Andy had no plans for college-he wanted to make Black Veil Brides his life.

"That was the plan. Either Ohio State or Berkley." Flora said, swinging their hands back and forth. Andy only nodded-Flora had so much going for her he couldn't hold her down.

"You really want to stay in this shithole state Flora?" Andy asked and Flora only smirked up at him. Of course not, but Berkley was nearly impossible to get in to.

"Not really, but I can't just leave mom behind." She explained. There was a sadness in her voice and Andy knew that there would come a time where Flora would have to make some rough choices.

"Well you could always come out on the road with the guys and I this summer." He suggested and Flora only laughed and looked at him. Andy was serious and she couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking.

"And do what?" Flora asked. Andy only smiled and looked up just as a bird flew over head. Soon it would be too cold to walk like this-they would have to find somewhere else to spend time together.

"Manage us? Be head of our merch?" He suggested and Flora thought it over.

A entire summer riding around with Andy-exploring new places and seeing new things. It sounded like fun, but it was also kind of terrifying. Flora knew that at some point there was a possibility of she and Andy having to say goodbye, but she knew that wasn't for atleast a few more months. Flora wanted to move out to LA with Andy, maybe go to a local college and see if that worked, but her dreams of a big state school would probably haunt her.

"I'll think about it." She teased, but Flora knew she was probably going to say yes.

"I love you..." Andy said, stopping her as he brought her small frame against his own and wrapped his arms around her.

"I love you too Andy." Flora said, smiling against his shirt clad chest. She could stay like this forever, because his forever was all that she needed.

Comments

I hate the fact that Flora let her dad get in her head. Had it not been for him, I'm sure she would be going to California with the band right now. Ohio State really isn't a big deal as far as schools go, and the school in California is just as prestigious (if not more so). Even from a more logical and practical standpoint, it does not seem like Flora is making a good choice.
