Far And Away.

"Merry Christmas!" Flora shouted out in to the cold air and all of the guys standing around in the garage looked up from their instruments and smiled.


It was Christmas Eve and the guys of BVB were trying to get a last minute practice in before taking a Holiday break. Andy was currently standing front and center, the huge heater that Ashley's grandfather put out in the space for the guys right in front of him, and he smiled as he saw Flora approaching. She looked so adorable walking towards him in her worn leather jacket, ripped black jeans and skull patterned beanie with the matching scarf. The small girl was carrying a cardboard box in her arms and Andy ran forward to take it from her.

Their lips met before he even greeted her and Flora smirked as they pulled away and cloud of steam seemed to be hanging in between them. Andy's hair was pushed down, hidden underneath a knit cap and his usually bare arms were covered in a leather jacket that she knew had once belonged to his dad. The other guys had all stopped their practice and tuning and were now walking towards the couple. Ashley reached her first, giving her a one arm hug before trying to peak in to the box in her arms. Flora only shook her head, pulling the box away and smirking.


"Oh no you don't!" She laughed and Ashley pouted, but Flora ignored him and began to walk towards the warm garage.

"Come on Flora!" CC whined and she only smiled to herself as she led the group in to the space and took a seat on the old beat up couch in the corner. Soon enough Andy was sitting beside her, CC behind her on the back, with Jake, Jinxx and Ashley pulling up chairs to sit in front of her.

"I wanted to do something for you guys for Christmas and if you don't like them it's okay, but I thought you could wear them to shows." Flora said, her fingers trembling as she opened the box and reached inside. The black leather felt smooth against her skin and she smirked as Andy clapped his hands once he realized what she had for them.


Flora had scoured every thrift store within fifty miles until she had been able to track down five black leather jackets. She had then worked with her mother to paint the BVB logo on the back of each one, the white wings and 'BVB' standing out starkly against the pure black material. She had then contacted a friend who made patches and worked out a favor or two, so now each left arm had a 'BVB Army' patch stitched front and center. The shoulders had chains, a few spikes and some intricate stitching that had taken Flora a long time to get done. Overall they were pretty awesome and as Flora handed one to each guy, they seemed to really like them.


"These are amazing babe!" Andy exclaimed joyfully and Flora only laughed as he kissed her neck, but never took his eyes off of the jacket that was in his hands. These were very personal gifts and Andy couldn't help but wonder how long it had taken Flora to get them done.

"Yeah Flora...I'm loving these chains." Jinxx said, his delicate fingers running over the links and Flora only smiled. She was really happy that they seemed to like them so much.

"Very Motley Crue..." Ashley said and Flora only rolled her eyes. She liked Ash, but his obsession with Motley Crue was a little sad.

"Thanks a lot Flora...I needed a new jacket." Jake said and she smiled.

"Yeah, these fucking rock!" CC laughed, tossing his arms around her neck and hugging her tightly from behind.


Flora could only sit there and smile brightly at them all, happy that she had been able to make them so happy. She had been worried when she and Andy had started dating that she would be a nuisance and that the guys wouldn't want her around. She had come to a few practices at first, sitting quietly in the back, trying to stay out of the way. Then one day the unimaginable happened-Ashley asked her for an opinion. Flora had hesitated at first, but his smile made her feel calmer. From them on she had sort of taken the role of their manager, speaking with the few club managers around town, trying to get them booked.

Currently Flora was working on trying to get them a few shirts to sell at their shows, but everything she looked up was so expensive. CC had a job at his dad's hardware store and Jinxx worked at a local retail store, but the other three guys were jobless right now. Flora knew if they were going to keep the few fans they had developed that they would need to come up with a plan for their merch. The guys were also talking about doing a demo, which would cost them a lot of money unless they did it themselves, but even then where would they get the equipment from?


"Hey guys...I think we're done for the day. I'm gonna walk Flora home." Andy said suddenly and Flora looked up. The guys were all joking around with one another and she hadn't even realized that she had been lost in her own thoughts.

"Oh, okay. Have a good Christmas guys!" Flora said, taking Andy's hands as she stood up and looked around. The guys were still in awe of their jackets and she could only smile as she and Andy began to walk towards the end of the driveway.

"Bye Flora! See you later man!" Ash called out.


The couple made their way down the slick sidewalk, the crusty ice crunching beneath their boots and Flora only smiled as Andy led her down the sidewalk. They were taking the long way home and that was fine with her-it just meant she got more time with the guy she loved more than anything.
