Almost Unbreakable

Tribulations

The doors opened up and Juliee, Robert, Brett, his parents, one of the other guys named Ian, and another named Josh. Daisy's heart beat sped up even faster. Brett's eyes were locked on us, and I glared at him. I wrapped my arm around Daisy's waist, and pulled her into my side, protectively.

"I don't know if I can speak in front of them." Daisy whispered in my ear. I pressed my face into her hair.

"You can do it." I whispered.

"I wish you could come up there with me." She sighed.

"Me too. But I can't baby. This is a courtroom." I chuckled softly.

"I know." She whimpered. The judge slammed his gavel down making everyone look up at him. He looked to be about forty, with short gray hair, and pale skin.

"Okay, court is in order. On trial today for the illegal possession, and distribution of drugs is Juliee and Robert Jenkins, Brett Gilmore, Daniel Gilmore, and Sandra Gilmore. Also associated with the buisness Ian Smith and Josh Hansen. I will be giving each of your lawyers a chance to represent you and appeal to the jury what your punishment or lack there of is. Before they make a decision we're also going to have Andrew Biersack and Daisy Jenkins come up and tell the story of what happened on the day of September 13th. Now let's get started with the Jenkins' lawyer." The judge said, gesturing to a thin, red haired women sitting next to Daisy's parents.

"Thank you your honor. I have represented the Jenkins on many occasions. I can say, your honor, that they deeply regret their buisness and wish they could take it back. They have already repealed their buisness and stopped all distribution and were doing it before they were taking under the governments custody." The lady said.

"How can you explain the pressure for their daughter, Daisy, to marry Brett Gilmore?" The Judge asked.

"It was only to ensure her a good future." She said. I wanted to stand up and scream that she was lying. She could go to jail for lying in court, so why was she doing it? I glanced at Daisy, to see her glaring at the women. She looked up at me, and I could see tears shining in her eyes. I knew that when it was her turn to tell the jury and judge the story, she was not going to let that go.

"As much as that endears me, Ms. Dawson, you can't 'repeal' a drug buisness. It's illegal, and you can't evade the law for something like that." The judge raised his eyebrow. I saw Daisy smirk lightly out of the corner of my eye. I could tell that this women was really reaching for something to get them out of this situation. All of them had already pleaded guilty, but they were looking for an appeal.

"I understand your honor, but does it really call for a life time sentence?" Ms. Dawson questioned.

"Maybe not, but kidnapping and threatening to kill an innocent man, and their very own daughter," The judge slammed his hands down, "Does."

"It was only under the precedence that Daisy Jenkins cheated on her significant other with Andrew Biersack." Ms. Dawson retorted.

"If I recall correctly, Daisy and Andrew did not start dating until after Brett and her broke up." The judge said, making me chuckle. I remeber the long conversation Daisy and I had on the phone with the court about everything that happened.

"How do you know she wasn't having an affair?" She raised her eyebrow.

"Ms. Dawson your an intelligant women, and I'm sure you know that an affair can only happen illegally, if she was married. Which, she wasn't." The judge pointed out.

"But she was engaged." Ms. Dawson shouted.

"To a man she didn't love. Plus, according to her and Andrew they didn't start dating until Brett abused her, and she moved out." The judge said.

"He hit her once. Is that really abusing?"

"Yes. That's what abusing is. Now before you embarrass yourself even more, let's have Ms. Jenkins come up and tell her side of the story." Daisy looked at me nervously, and stood up. I kissed her knuckles before letting go of her hand, and she walked up to the stand.

Notes

Another one! Man I'm on a roll with the cliffhangers;) The next few chapters are going to be the trial so I hope you like this! Also, I'm trying hard to make this as professional and factual to an actual courtroom as I can! Hope I'm doing a good job!
