Almost Unbreakable
What Have You Done?
I walked up to the witness stand my hands shaking. I sat down on the wooden seat, and glanced at the judge.
"Alright, Daisy can you tell us what happened on the 13th of September?" He asked.
I nodded, "Of course. I was staying over at my friends, Ella Cole and Sammie Doll's apartment, since Andy was out of town and he didn't want me to be alone. I had just gotten home from work, and I was tired so I laid down to take a nap, and all of the sudden there was banging on the front door, and it was broken down. Brett, Ian, and Josh were all standing there and they kidnapped me. Then they took me over to what I now know was a church and locked me in a disgusting room. Hours later Andy was locked inside with me. Then, my father came in and told me of his plans to force me to marry Brett. I wasn't going to go through with it until they told me they would kill Andy if I didn't. The plan seemed like it was going to work until Ella and Sammi both found an invitation to the wedding on my old houses doorstep. That's when Ashley Purdy, Christian Coma, Jeremy Ferguson, Jake Pitts, Matt Good, and Danny Worsnop all came In to stop the wedding." I said, taking an a large breath afterwards.
"I think there is several crimes just within that specific event." The judge said, nodding, "Thank you, Daisy. I'm sorry you had to deal with something as vile as that."
I smiled at him weakly, "Thank you, sir." I got up, and walked back over to Andy. He stood up, and hugged me quickly, before both of us sat down.
The next hour went by painfully slow. The Gilmores, and Ian and Josh's lawyers presented, making the same plea as my parents. It was honestly sad to see how awful their excuses were. Downright shameful.
Andy went up and told his story. He glared at Brett the whole time, and I felt sick hearing what actually happened. The idea of Andy being kidnapped made me cry.
Our stories clearly solidified the verdict of the jury. I could even see that some of them were crying when Andy told his. Hell, he even got teary-eyed when he talked about having to say goodbye to me. Andy went much more in depth than I did, because I was afraid too. It was too painful to think about.
Finally, the judge was about to rule his verdict after hours of waiting. Andy's hand was locked in mine, and his other arm around my shoulder.
"Quiet down, Judge Turner is going to make his ruling." The Bailiff yelled, causing everyone shut their mouths tight.
"The sentence the jury and I have made is that Juliee and Robert Jenkins have been sentenced to twenty five years in California stare prisons. Brett, Daniel, and Sandra Gilmore are sentenced the same, and Ian Smith and Josh Hansen are sentenced to ten years in California state prisons." He slammed his mallet down, and I let out a sigh. I dropped my head onto Andy's shoulder, so happy they were getting what they deserved.
Is it bad that I cried? I can't believe that it's over. This was such an amazing story.
