Almost Unbreakable

Push My Buttons

I laid on top of Andy as he stared at the ceiling. After we'd brainstormed a few impossible plans, we lapsed into an eerie silence. There was no way out of this. In a few hours I'd be married, and out of this country. Away from my love, away from my life.

"Andy?" I looked up at him. He tore his eyes from the fluorescent light above us, to glance at me.

"Yes?" He mumbled.

"Will you promise to move in, once I'm gone?" I asked.

"No." He shook his head, "Because we are going to stop this from happening."

"I think it's time to except that were not going too." I shook my head, "And you deserve a happy life, with someone that doesn't bring so much shit into it."

"Daisy, please." Andy pressed his lips to my temple, "Please stop."

"I think it's only logical that we say goodbye. This is it." I said.

"It's not goodbye, Dragonfly. I swear it." He tightened his grip on me.

"Whatever you say, Andy. I love you, and I always will." I kissed his cheek.

"Baby..." Andy whimpered, "Stop."

Suddenly the door opened to reveal my mother, and the same guys who brought me here. Andy, and I sat up, but he kept his arms so tight around me, I could barely breath.

"Okay, Daisy." She sighed, "Time to go."

"No." I sobbed, clutching onto Andy for dear life. "Please, mom, I need to be with Andy. At least let him see me as a bride."

"Nonsense, come one." The two men tried to pull Andy, and I apart but our grips were too tight.

"Daisy!" My mom yelled.

"You know, mother," I said struggling against the men, "You can get me ready, you can force me up to that alter, but you can't make me say 'I do'." My mother held her hand up signaling for the men to stop.

"Oh but I can." She said, grinning evilly. She looked at the guys, and flicked her eyes to Andy.

They immediately pulled him away from me.

"No!" I screamed, as they unclasped the chain on his ankle. I tried to reach him but my chain was too short.

"If you don't say 'I do' we will kill him." The men forced a struggling Andy into a chair, and tied him down as he struggled. One of the guys pulled a gun out, and placed it to his head.

"Do it," Andy growled, "I'd rather die than you make her marry that trash."

"No," I sobbed, "No I'll d-do it. I'll marry him, just please let Andy go."

Tears filled Andy's sparkling blue eyes, "Dragonfly..." The other man came over to me, and unchained my ankle. He held my arms back, and pushed me to the door. "No, Daisy! I love you, I'm not going to let this happen!" I cried to myself as I walked down the hallway.

"Did you really love him that much?" My mother asked, incredulously.

"Do," I glared at her, "I do love him that much."

"Well think of it this way, now you have your family back." She sighed.

"Fuck off." I growled, "Andy is the only thing I need."

"Well you better drop that idea." She shook her head, and I cried harder. All I wanted was to be back in Andy's arms.

She lead me to a small room. A beautiful white wedding dress was hanging in the corner. The dress I picked out what seemed like ages ago. It had a full skirt, and beading all over it. The sleeves were lace, and long.

"Never thought you'd wear this right?" She chuckled, and I had a mind to swing a punch at her, but stopped myself for fear she'd tell the men to hurt Andy. "Sit down, I'm doing your hair, and makeup."

I hesitantly sat down in the chair, and she began brushing my hair. I felt sick to my stomach just at her touch.

"Why all the fuss? Why not just marry us in some grimy room, and make Andy watch." I growled at her.

"Now wouldn't that be suspicious." She shook her head, "No, we've invited a ton of people to this wedding."

She grabbed my chin, and forced me to look at her. "So you better put your best smile on."
