Almost Unbreakable

Realization

I walked off the big plane, and on to a ramp. The guys decided to leave tomorrow, but three hours after what I saw in the alley. I had to get home to Daisy.

After explaining everything to the guys, they agreed to stop the tour, and let me leave. I've been texting Daisy, but she wasn't answering. She didn't even call me after my message..

I was worried to say the least.

All of the sudden I felt my phone buzzing in my pocket. Much to my dismay it was Ella, and not Daisy.

"Hello?" I grumbled, wishing I was talking to my girlfriend.

"Andy! I've been trying to get through to you for hours! Someone took Daisy!" She yelled into the phone. I felt my stomach drop.

"What?" I mumbled.

"We got home, and the door was kicked in. Daisy's not here. I think it was the Brett guy. Should I call the police?" She asked.

I started waking faster through the airport, "No, wait until I get there."

"Wait, get here? Your in Europe!" She exclaimed.

"We left because, well, I can't explain it over the phone. I'll be there as fast as I can." I hung up, and sped through the airport.

Finally, I reached the line of cabs. I got into one, and told him Ella and Sammi's adress.

It took about fifteen minutes to get there, and when I did, I paid the driver, and hopped out of the cab. The first thing I noticed was something metallic laying on the ground by the steps. I bent down to pick it up, and saw it was my broken dog tags.

"Oh Daisy..." I shook my head, a tear falling down my face. "This is all my fault."

"Your right." Said a voice from behind me. I whipped my head around to see Daisy's father.

"Where is she?" I seethed.

"That's none of your concern, right now I just need you to promise me, you'll leave her alone." He said.

"Why the fuck would I do that?" I stood up, and glared at him.

"Because what your getting in to is bigger than you two. It's something you don't understand." He shook his head.

"Have something to do with Gilmore Industries?" I raised an eyebrow.

"How do you know about that?" He asked, angrily.

"I don't see how that's important." I smirked. Two guys emerged from behind him. They were huge, and I was worried they had hurt Daisy. "Where is my girlfriend?"

"Don't worry, you'll see her soon enough." Her father grinned, devilishly.

"What?" I backed up a bit, ready to make a run for it.

"Grab him." He said, and the two men raced at me. I turned around, and ran into two other guys. I started swinging, but there were too many of them. Their hands wrapped around my arms, and I struggled, and pushed against them.

"Get the fuck off of me!" I screamed. They placed a piece of tape on my mouth, and shoved me inside of a white truck. I felt my phone buzzing in my pocket, and so did one of the guys. They held me back, as he grabbed it, and threw it against the wall. I started kicking at the guys, but they tied my hands and feet. I felt helpless, and leaned back against the wall of the truck.

We traveled for what seemed like hours, but in actuality was probably only a few minutes. The men ripped the tape off of my mouth, and opened the back of the truck. I was shoved out, and forced to walk into a big building after they untied me. Their hands tightly wrapped around my arms.

"This is illegal." I spat at Daisy's father.

"I've gotten around the law for worse things than this." He chuckled. We walked down long corridors until we finally made it to a cell like room. They pushed open the door, and inside I saw the most heartbreaking sight.

Daisy, with her knees drawn to her chest, was sobbing. Her ankle was chained to the bed, and her makeup was down her face. I yanked out of the men's arms, and ran to her. She shied away from my touch, probably not seeing it was me.

"Daisy." I whispered.

She looked up, and gasped, "Andy?" She wrapped her tiny arms around me, "Is that really you?"

"Yes." I said, pressing my face in her hair. "It's me."

"Oh thank god." She sobbed, clutching onto my shirt, "I love you."

"I love you too." I said, my voice shaking. I felt one of the men clamp a chain down on my ankle now.

"Hate to interrupt this reunion, but.." Daisy's father trailed off.

"What the Hell is wrong with you!?" I screamed, "You would do this to your own daughter?"

"My business is my life, and if anything gets in the way of it, I would sell my own soul." He shook his head.

"I thought you loved me, your my father!" Daisy shouted at him.

"I do love you, but Daisy, sometimes we have to make sacrifices in our lives." Her father kneeled in front of us.

"I don't understand, why don't you want me to be happy? Why did you bring Andy here?" Daisy asked.

"So he didn't mess with the wedding. He'll be released once you and Brett are out of the country. Your mother will come in here in a few hours to help you get ready. Daisy, your getting married today." He grinned.

"No!" Daisy sobbed.

"I'm sorry it had to be this way, honey, I really am. I would say your goodbyes." He shook his head, and walked out. Daisy started shaking, and I kept my arms securely wrapped around her.

"Andy?" She sniffled, looking up at me.

"Yes sweetheart?" I asked.

"Can you sing for me?" She buried her head in my chest.

"What do you want me to sing?" I asked.

"Do you know that song Turning Page?" She asked.

"By Sleeping At Last?" She nodded, "Yeah I know that song."

"Will you sing it for me?" Her voice shaking.

"Of course." I said, clearing my throat.

I've waited a hundred years, but I'll wait a million more for you,

Nothing prepared me for, What the privilege of being yours would do,

If I had only felt the warmth within your touch. If I had only seen how you smile when you blush.
Or how you curl your lip when you concentrate enough. Well I would have known, what I've been living for all along. What I've been living for.

Your love is my turning page
Where only the sweetest words remain.
Every kiss is a cursive line. Every touch is a redefining phrase.

I surrender who I've been for you are. For nothing makes me stronger than, your fragile heart. If I had only felt how it feels to be yours, than I would have known, what I've been living for all along.
What I've been living for.

Though were tethered to the story we must tell. When I saw you, well I knew we'd tell it well. With a whisper we will tame the vicious seas.

Like a feather bringing kingdoms to their knees.

Daisy, and I were both crying now. I hadn't realized how much that song related to us.

"Thank you." She sniffled.

"Anytime." I rubbed her arms.

"I'll remember that when I'm-" She gasped, "Oh god when I'm with Brett, and not you."

"No, I'm not going to let that happen." I shook my head, violently.

"How are you going to stop it?" She asked. I thought about it for a second.

“I don’t know, but I will. I promise.”
