Happy Birthday, Scar - Part 2
Sammi, Alexa, and I stepped out of a car onto a street that I hadn't seen before, about 20 minutes after they shoved me into the backseat and drove away from the hotel.
"Okay, you need to put this on," said Sammi, handing me a black bandana.
"What am I supposed to do with this?" I asked.
"Cover your eyes, silly. We can't have you see where we're going," she said in a matter-of-fact tone. I sighed and put the band across my eyes, tying it tightly around my head.
"Can you see anything?" asked Alexa, probably waving her hand in front of my face. I couldn't tell for sure.
"Uh, no," I said.
"How many fingers am I holding up?" I heard Sammi's voice ask.
"Hmm, 3?"
"5. Okay Alexa, we're good to go. I just got a text from the guys saying that everything's ready," Sammi said. I felt someone take my arm and start leading me down the road. I wasn't sure what was going to happen and I was kind of scared. Sammi could have some pretty crazy ideas, and so could Alexa. So with them two planning something together, not to mention the rest of The Outcasts and Black Veil Brides, I knew that this was going to be a crazy night.
We walked for about an hour. Well, it felt like an hour. According to Alexa it was only 10 minutes. But time goes by way slower when you're blindfolded. Finally, we stopped, and someone opened something that sounded like a door. Sammi and Alexa's hands left mine and it was silent.
"Hey guys? Where are you?" I asked. There was no reply. "Can I take my blindfold off now?" I called. Still nothing. I shrugged and took it off anyway. I was standing in front of a large door to a building. On the door there was a note, which read: 'Happy Birthday Scarlette, now open the door.'
I looked around but I couldn't see anyone. I figured that Sammi and Alexa must have gone through this door and left me there. I slowly opened the door, excited to see what was behind it. I stepped in, and all I saw was darkness.
Suddenly, someone grabbed my waist tightly, but before I could scream, they covered my mouth. I didn't struggle, but I just stood there in the dark room, wondering what the hell was going on.
"Hey Scar," a familiar voice whispered into my ear. Again, I could smell the minty-cigarette combination of the person's breath and I instantly knew who it was. "Happy Birthday," he said as all the lights in the building turned on and music started blasting through speakers.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCARLETTE!" I heard a room full of people yell. I looked around me and saw my band, BVB, our tour managers, our backstage crew, and everyone I had met while doing this tour looking at me with smiles on their faces. I turned to Andy.
"You did all this?" I asked, unable to keep the smile off my face.
"With a little help," he shrugged and I laughed as I pulled him close to me and kissed him in front of everyone.
"Thank you so much Andy, this is amazing. Best birthday ever," I whispered into his ear.
"You're welcome babe," he said to me.
"Yeah, you're welcome Scarlette," I heard Ashley call from the side of the room. I ran to him and gave him a huge hug as well, and also gave hugs to everyone else.
"Thank you guys, you're the best friends in the world!" I exclaimed.
"We know," Jinxx smiled.
The hours passed by. I was talking to everyone in the room who was wishing me a happy birthday, and dancing with friends.
"You look gorgeous tonight, by the way," Andy told me as we were dancing together. "I like the dress."
"Thanks, both Alexa and Sammi made me go through the torture of trying out about two billion dresses before I finally decided on this one," I said, rolling my eyes.
"But you love us!" called Alexa, who was at the bar with Ashley.
"I guess I do!" I called back and she gave me a thumbs up.
After a few minutes, it was time to open presents. I was sitting in a chair on the stage and everyone was watching me open stuff.
From Jinxx and Jake, I got a new acoustic guitar which I loved so much, because I had always wanted to learn guitar properly but I never had one.
Blake and Dustin got me makeup because they "couldn't think of anything else to get a girl," but I appreciated it all the same.
CC got me two new pairs of Converse and one pair of Vans, and Ashley got me lingerie. Which was predictable but still embarrassing. It was funny when Alexa punched him repeatedly, even though he insisted it was just a joke and "only for Andy's eyes."
Alexa and Sammi had gotten me the dress earlier and the shoes, but they added on new earrings and necklaces to their collection of gifts.
Finally, it was time to open Andy's present. There were two things that he handed to me, the first was a small box and the other was an envelope. I opened the box first, and saw a brand new iPhone sitting there, so I grinned and went to give him a huge hug. I had been complaining for ages about my old Nokia so I was so happy to get this one.
Then, I opened the envelope. All it read was, 'your next present is outside, on the rooftop.' When I looked up, Andy was gone, but everyone else had smiles on their faces as if they knew what was going on. I gave Alexa a slightly confused look but she just shook her head and smiled, motioning for me to go to the stairst that led to the roof.
I climbed up the flights of stairs, wondering what Andy could be up to. I pushed the door open and immediately realized how beautiful it was up here. The stars were clear in the dark night sky and the full moon also lit up the roof. In the middle of the roof was Andy sitting there on a picnic blanket, with a guitar in one hand and a rose in the other. I walked over to him and sat down, smiling. He handed me the rose and I took it, then watched, interested, as he started to play some chords. I recognized the song immediately and smiled.

As he finished the song, I couldn't help but feel some tears appear in my eyes. I smiled as he reached over and wiped them away.
"Did you like that?" he asked.
"Like it? Andy, that was the most beautiful thing ever. Thank you so much, it's the best birthday present I've ever gotten." He leaned closer and kissed my lips softly, and then we laid back on the blanket, just looking at the stars.
"I love you Scarlette."
"I love you too, Andy."
And that's when I saw it - the big black helicopter speeding towards the roof, and descending down onto it. The doors flew open, and two big shapes came walking towards us.
I heard a yell, and then a few seconds later, the world faded to black.
