Suffer In Silence

*Sandra’s POV*

“So what happened?” Andy asks with worry etched on his face. “The things I saw…” I pause, then take a deep breath, closing my eyes and picturing her in my mind. I explain everything I saw, everything she told me. A nagging feeling is telling me that doing this when she made me promise I wouldn’t, will backfire but I don’t care. We need to help her, even if it means losing her in the process.

“I’ll kill him” Andy growls, standing up and punching the wall. Either he’s too angry to realise, or just doesn’t care, that he has badly hurt his hand. For a brief second, I forget the situation and can’t help but think about how thoughtless I was when I chose here to meet up. A better place would have been somewhere less hazardous, basically, Andy-proof, or as Andy-proof as possible anyway.

“Andy we have to think rationally about this. One, you’re not a killer. Two, if you were to kill him, you’d go to jail and Koda would lose one of the only good things in her life. She would lose everything else too, most likely even end up in foster care, and we all know she wouldn’t handle that well, if at all” Jinxx reasons, placing his hand on Andy’s shoulder and squeezing it reassuringly. “I know but why did he have to choose Koda?, there are plenty of beautiful young, of age women willing to sleep with a guy that rich and good looking, I’ve seen him, so why Koda?” Andy says, his voice breaking.

“We need to get the guy sprung first, then we’ll tackle the parents after that” Jake says quietly, having been sitting there the whole time silently, looking like someone torched his puppy. “Yes, sounds like a plan, but how?, we’re just a bunch of teenagers, how the hell would we be able to take down a powerful guy like that without being brought down before we can even do anything?” A pacing Ashley replies, getting increasingly agitated with each trip back and forth.

“We’ll have to catch him in the act, hopefully not the act of actually ra-“ I pause with a shudder, “raping her. We could try to get evidence of him blackmailing her dad, and if it really comes to it, we’d have to set up cameras in whatever room he books, then try to interfere before he can really do it” I say, trying really hard not to cry at the idea. “How would we get the cameras in?” CC asks, finally pausing the urgent drumming of his fingers and bouncing of his leg. “One or two of us will distract him” Jinxx answers, sounding firm yet disturbingly robotic. This is really hurting us, I can only imagine what living with this for so long has been doing to Koda.

*Andy’s POV*

It took a while, but we finally managed to talk Koda into our plan. We assured her that we have devised it in a way that if it backfires, none of it can be pinned to her. The last thing we want to do is make it worse for her…
She is taking me somewhere today, she wants to have a day where we can forget all of this. I can’t do that, but I’ll pretend, for her.

“Ok you have to tell me at least what we’re doing, that grin of yours is driving me crazy!” I exclaim in mock exasperation. “Ok, ok fine” she replies, equally as ‘exasperated’. “I’m taking you to see my brumby. My methods have been paying off, I can pat him and groom him now” she says with such pride in her voice that it brings a smile to my face, God I love this girl….

I'M SO FUCKING SORRY ABOUT THE WAIT!. It's been killing me not to update sooner, the cha[ter has been ready for a few weeks but my course has given me no time to upload and it's driving me INSANE. I hope the wait was worth it, I worked really hard on it, I really want everything to fall into place naturally, not all forced and chunky.
