The Dune Race (For Children of Sands - Revisited)

Summary

The world has changed; it has become infested by parasites; the undead. The great prospering lands of the USA have turned into a inferno of torment and slaughter. Despite the spreading infection groups of survivors continue to live through out the deserted towns. Maybe there is still hope for the humanity.

Originally posted on the account Son of Rebellion as "For Children of Sands".

I kinda missed writing this story (and of course writing with my partner in crime). I've managed to scavenge the rest of the story out of ancient drafts and had to piece some things together from memory.

Despite that this version will be complete, there were originally meant to be 25 chapters plus and epilogue but I've cut it down to 20. I don't really have the patience for this and the last 5 chapters were very badly planned.

There is very little difference between the original and this version, I've changed some of the descriptions and shifted the tense to present. Go ahead and read the original version but I strongly encourage you to read this one.

I used a small part of this this story for an AS english literature course work. Fucking shoot me.

holy shit, that was incredible! i doubt you'll ever read this, but you might want to include tragedy as one of your genres. it's very bleak and multiple protagonists die. but it was fantastic. i don't think i've ever read a bridecest story that i liked so well!
