Fallen Angel

EXTRA: Little Red Riding Hood Spin Off

It was another night alone. My father left us over a decade ago. My mother was at work. As an only child, I spent most of my time just like this. There was nothing but the bitter cold walls and empty space settled around me. Every now and then, I would go and visit my grandmother from my mother’s side since she shared the same loneliness. Her husband passed before she, and she was ill and bed ridden. Besides her nurse that would come visit her once a day to make sure she is taking her medication and see if the symptoms have progressed or regressed, she was alone. My mother was too busy to see me, let alone go visit her own mother—a true business woman, never failing her employers.
Peering out the window into the cool evening sky, I decided to go and visit her. To go along with my visit, I decided to make some pastries—some with fruits, some with jelly. I threw in some sugar cookies as well. When they made it to the oven, I walked upstairs threw on a black flowing skirt and tank top as well as some leggings designed to look like pantyhose underneath some thigh-highs and Black Red boots. Finally I threw on a bright crimson hoodie zipped up half way.
As if on cue, I heard the oven timer beep, and hurried down stairs. Pulling the pastries and cookies out of the oven, and put them in a small picnic basket. I made a small card with a cheesy note:
“Here are some goodies just as sweet as you. Enjoy. –Hannah”
Feeling satisfied, I threw my red hood over my head, plugged in one earphone, and headed out with the small basket. By the time I started heading to my grandmother’s house, they sky had already turned from a deep red to a dark blue. I had a couple of blocks to walk, but overall, it wasn’t too far.
Along the way, as I passed an ally-way, I shadowy figure emerged from it dressed in a long trench coat. After stopping for a moment, swallowed my fear, and took a breath before continuing to pass the figure. When I zeroed down the distance between us, he whispered “Hello.” It was a low voice, and although he was dressed threatening, the voice seemed almost scared.
“Y-yes?” I asked finally stopping, although it was against my better judgment.
I took in a long inhale before finally exhaling. “… Smells nice…” He stepped toward me into part of the street light.
I assumed he meant the pastries “They’re pastries.”
“What..?” he asked puzzled.
I gestured toward the basket. “They’re for my grandmother.. She’s sick, and I’m going to visit her.” Quickly I added, “Not too far from here.”
“I see…” His face was pale, and his icy blue eyes looked hungry. Is he homeless? We both eyeballed the basket before he spoke once more. “Your grandmother is very lucky… to have a nice grandchild like you..”
I said nothing, hoping that a could somehow slip away from the situation I seemed to get myself into. Why did I stop? I should have kept moving.
“I bet she is very beautiful… Just like you…” He said again moving closer as the light vanished from his eyes.
“You’re very kind…” I Paused. “Um… Would you like one..?” I had hoped that if I were kind, he would have second thoughts on any wicked thoughts he could possibly be having.
He stopped. “… Really..?” some light returned to his hollowed eyes.
“Y-Yeah..” I reached into the basket and pulled out three cookies and gave them to him.
He lit up almost like a child who was alone for a long time suddenly getting a hug. “They’re still warm..” He smiled. I noticed that he was actually young, maybe a couple years older than I, but his face was angular and pale. As he took a bite of one, I felt a little sorry of him. Perhaps he had been homeless, maybe a runaway. I glanced at tattoo peaking from the side of his neck, the two piercings on his nose and bottom lip, then at the black boots on his feet. Maybe…
After he finished the first cookie and started on the next, I attempted to leave. “Well, it’s getting late... I have to go…”
He looked as if he was going to reach out and ask me to stay, like a son to his mother leaving for work. I knew that longing look all too well. Instead, he just said “Thank you… You’re really nice.”
I must have misread him. He seemed like a good person. “You’re welcome.” I smiled.
After he returned the smile, I left as he finished off the cookies.
I was about to knock on the door when I noticed the door was unlocked. I hesitated as I started to push open the door. “Hello..?” I called out. No answer. “Grandmother…?”
“Who’s there..?” The voice was old, croaky, and slightly lower than I remembered. I assumed it was from the cigarettes.
“Hannah.” I said shutting the door behind me. I noticed a black coat hanging on the coat rack but paid no mind to it.
“Hello dear. Come In.” Her voice cracked and pity flooded my heart. I pulled the earphone out and proceeded. I slowly walked into the bedroom, and she was turned away from me on her mattress.
“I brought you some pastries… cookies and other stuff.” I raised the basket although she could not see it. As she turned over to face me, I set the basket on her nightstand and pulled a chair up next to her bed. Her nose and everything else was still tucked under the blanket, but instantly I noticed that the person lying in that bed was not my grandmother. I leaned in and squinted, taking extreme notice in the large pointy ears, terrifying red eyes, and large hands holding the sheets just at the base of those eyes.
“Who… are you…?”
Sitting up and letting the sheets fall off, this person flashed me a smile, flashing his fangs. “Why… Don’t you recognize me…?" It was the man from the ally, except something was different about him. He was dressed in all leather, and his arms, neck and chest, were smeared in war paint. Markings faded onto his face around his eyes, over his cheeks, from his jaw line, and one from the side of his mouth up to his ear.
I jolted up from the chair, and attempted to make a run for it, but he grabbed my arm, flung the sheets off, and threw me on the bed. I laid there completely vulnerable underneath him as he pinned my arms up in one of his hands. “Those cookies tasted almost as good as they smelled." He reached for another from the basket that was just in arms reach and took a bite. After swallowing, he licked his lips. “You’re so sweet.” He put the rest of the cookie down, and brought his face closer to me, out lips almost touching. Then leaned down some more and whispered in my ear, “I want to taste you too…” He inhaled then stroked his tongue across my neck.
“!!! Mm..!” I let out a small sound and turned away, face flushed before turning bright pink. The sound seemed to please him. I was so disgusted. “What did you do with my grandmother?” I spat.
He frowned and pulled his face away from me for a moment. “She died earlier today from overdose… sometime after the nurse left…” How does he know about the nurse that comes to visit her? How would he know that she would have died? Did he really kill her? But that still doesn’t answer the first question. Wait, has he been stalking me? How long? Why hadn’t I noticed? Using his free hand, he took his finger and pulled at the zipper bringing it all the way down until my jacket came undone. “Lucky for me it wasn’t that long ago and her soul was still in the house. I went ahead and devoured it. Her body is on the couch in the living room…” He bent back over and kissed my chest.
Devoured it? “What... mmm!!! What... are you..?”
He smiled. “A Fallen… A demon, some call it.” He licked up my chest and toward my neck before finally stopping and sucked on my neck. The Fact that it tickled enraged me. At the same time, he stroked my thigh that was outside his leg, the other was between his. They were too close together for me to get a good shot between the two of them. I tried anyway, but suspecting this, he was able to stop me. “Feisty are we…?” He grinned, flashing his fangs again.
“What exactly do you plan on doing to me?” I frustrated hollered, already knowing the answer and tried to hide my fear.
The demon lifted my chin. “You sure do ask a lot of questions.” He didn’t answer it, and continued on. “Maybe this will shut you up.” He pulled my mouth open and shoved his tongue in, forcefully kissing my mouth. Be strong, I told myself. I felt his hand go up my shirt and push underneath my bra then his cold fingers wrap around my breast. His eager hand searched my body and made its way toward my skirt.
No.. I thought. Please, no…
My arms were suddenly stretched out across the bed and pinned down my arm unknown force as his hand left my wrist. I tried to move them but the would not budge. I felt my skirt, tights, and underwear being pulled down all at once, and I tried to push my knees together. I tried and tried to resist and fight back; I even threatened to scream, but failed with every attempt. He looked frustrated. I tried to act strong and tough, but inside I was terrified. At last, I started crying, and that was all I could do. Then something happened. His narrowed red eyes met mine, they suddenly melted to an icy blue like from the ally, the ones that were so full of weakness. Without saying a word, he jumped back off the bed, my arms were released, and he just stared at me, horrified, as I sat up.
“I’m sorry…” he mumbled.
I was so confused. He completely changed. Did he have second thoughts? But then again, he’s a demon. But then his eyes just changed color. What is going on?
The two of us looked horrified at the situation we found ourselves in. He pushed his black hair out of his face, and he looked as though he was about to cry. “I’m so sorry…” he uttered again. “He—I… didn’t—I…” Nothing he was saying was making any sense.
I took the opportunity to quickly fix my clothes before anything else could happen, and just as I did, he bolted for the window, swung it open, and jumped out. “Wait!” I shouted but I was too late.
I ran toward the window and looked down preparing myself for whatever horrific scene was going to be at the base of the apartment, but nothing was there. I started to look around and caught a glimpse of a winged figure swoop through the air before disappearing.
The rest happened so fast. I went and saw my grandmother. I called the cops. I was asked a bunch of questions, which I answered truthfully but did not mention the winged man—the demon. They would have thought I was crazy. Who knows, maybe I was, but I didn’t want my grandmother’s already tragic death to be pinned on me. No, I just stated the basic facts. Next, my mom came. I was taken home. But before I went, I took the coat belonging to the stranger off the rack as if it was my own and left. It was my only connection, my only clue to who he was. Nothing was said between my mother and I on our way home, and when we got there, I went straight to my room. All the emotional trauma I was left to deal with on my own.

Notes

Sorry you guys.. I know ya'll probably wanted to know what happens in the main story but I just had this idea and decided to share. This is not part of Fallen Angel but does have all the basic ideas involving characters and story plot. I just thought that this would be interesting. I will try to update the main story ASAP but it may not be as soon as we would both like. I am aiming for within the next week, but we'll see~
.
I will say this about the next chapter:
Because it was a minor injury, Andy and the gang took Hannah back to his place and she ends up staying there for the night. Things get pretty interesting after that. ;)

Stay tuned! Please Subscribe!
oh, and let me know what you think about the spin off chapter! I know its a little naughty X) there will be more intense moments but like the ones here, and I'll be changing the rating ;P
