CC sighed as he closed his brown eyes and rested his head against the back wall of the elevator he was in. His tired fingers held onto one strap of his duffle bag and his other duffle was sitting at his feet. Three months he had been on the road with the guys-touring back and forth between the US and Europe and now he was looking forward to the break between their headlining tour and their summer tour with Warped. He smiled as he thought of the girl waiting for him upstairs in their small apartment.

He could just picture her now-long brown hair, those lavender streaks catching the light as her hair fell over her shoulder when she was bent over the sink or standing in front of the mirror in the bathroom putting her makeup on. He had missed her like crazy-those bright green eyes of hers had haunted his dreams every night and while they kept in touch, it was nothing compared to being physical. With a soft dinging noise, CC knew that he had made it to their floor and he smirked as the doors opened and he bent down to pick up his duffle.

He hadn’t talked to her since the day before when he had called after their last show to let her know he was coming home. She had cried on the phone, telling him how happy she was to hear that he was coming back to her. They’d had a rocky relationship over the past year with his being gone constantly and working on the record with the guys. But they had made it through-they loved one another and that’s just what you did when you loved someone…you made that shit work.

CC smiled as he walked down the hall and his smile only grew as he came up to their door and reached out to put his key into the shining lock. His heart was racing as the locked clicked open and CC placed his hand on the knob, twisting slightly as he pushed his wooden barricade out of the way and his eyes grew wide at the site before him.

Their living room, with both of their leather couches and coffee table included-were covered under a ton of blankets and what looked to be pillows which were stacked up high. What on Earth? CC smiled as he realized that this was something that they had done when they had first spent the night with one another-they had made a blanket fort. He smirked as he set his bags down, running his nimble fingers through his long black hair as he thought back over that night.

They had made love for the first time and it had been the best night of his life as they laid underneath the blankets, his long legs bent at the knee and with that he had created their first blanket fort. CC slowly approached one edge of the blanket, reaching out to lift the fabric up and he winced as someone reached out and smacked his hand. There was also a shrill barking and he only smiled as he realized that the two most important things in his life were hidden beneath a fort of blankets.


“Babe?” He called out and CC only smiled as there was a muffled “shh” coming from inside and he knew that Pugsley was underneath there with his love.

“Alexandria?” He said more loudly and he jumped as part of the blanket was lifted up and her green eyes were staring up at him.

“Password please?” Her voice was adorable sounding and CC found himself shivering at the sound. He had heard her over the phone and skype of course, but nothing compared to gazing into those eyes of hers when she talked to him.

“Uh-pugs rule?” He said, his angular face going up into a wide grin and she only shook her head as Alex looked up at the love of her life. She couldn’t believe he was standing there in front of her-after three months apart and here he was.

“Um…I love you?” He guessed again and she only smiled as she nodded her head and moved aside for him to enter.


CC ducked down, kissing her soft mouth as he passed and he laughed as their Pug Pugsley barked loudly at him before waggling his little tail as CC took a seat in what seemed to be the middle of the fort. It was huge that was for damn sure and CC only laughed as he noticed that the fort reached up to cover the television and that Alexandria had made a small bed filled with pillows from their bed and plenty of blankets.

Looking around, CC noticed a bottle of wine and two glasses and he only smiled as she closed the makeshift door behind him and wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing his lips deeply. God he had missed this girl so much and he was looking forward to spending as much time with her before he left for tour once again. He heard her moan as CC ran his hand through her silky brown hair, cupping the back of her head as he pressed her against him tightly. She pulled away, looking up into his eyes and he felt his heart break as CC noticed the tears in her bright green eyes.


“I missed you so much C…” Her voice was soft and CC only smiled gently as he kissed her forehead and moved them both so that they were laying up against the pillows that she had set up. Her head had made its way to rest on his chest and CC closed his eyes, sighing deeply as he finally felt at peace. He finally felt like he was where he belonged.

“God Alex…you have no idea how much I missed you. Oh-this fucking fort is the shit…good fucking job babe.” They both laughed as he moved so that his lips were pressed against the top of her head and he couldn’t help but close his eyes as the soft scent of lemon and vanilla met his nose. He had missed this girl like crazy and he was beyond happy to have her back in his tattooed arms.

“Thanks. Pugs helped me out a little bit. Come here buddy.” Alex patted her lap and happily the dog got up from his small bed and soon the little family was snuggled tight together underneath their secret Fort-O-Love.

“Oh how I missed you little man…” CC laughed as he picked up the small dog and laughed as he was licked heavily and Alex only smirked.

“He missed you too…trust me.” Alex said as she scratched the small dog behind his ears and caught CC’s eyes. He had that look in those brown eyes of his that he always got when he was up to something and she felt her heart begin to race.

“I missed him and I also missed something else…” He wiggled his eyebrows at her and Alex only rolled her eyes.

“Oh yeah and what was that? You’re Monster collection?” She smirked at him and then her eyes grew wide as CC stopped petting Pugsley and he wiggled his fingers at her.

“Come here babe…” He said as he reached out and began to wiggle his fingers against her waist. Alex giggled loudly, snorting as she could hardly breathe and after a few minutes CC stopped his assault on her and just smirked.

“You are so evil…” Alex said as she flopped down against his chest, her fingers reaching for his as she began to play with one of the rings on his right hand.

“You love it…” He said as his eyes began to glaze over and CC was beginning to realize just how exhausted he was.

“I love you…” She smirked against his stomach as she moved so that she was looking up at him. Alex felt a shiver run up her spine as her green eyes locked on his brown ones. God he was amazing.

“I love you more.” He said and CC only smiled down at her before the couple moved slightly to make themselves more comfortable as they lapsed into a peaceful silence.


As they laid there, Alex couldn’t help but feel relieved. She had missed CC and while she trusted him it was always hard watching someone be away from you and know the temptation that they faced on a daily basis. Most Black Veil Brides fans were teens, but some girls were just old enough and Alex knew that Ashley could be a bad influence-especially on CC because they were best friends. Alex smiled against the skin of CC’s neck as she thought back to their first meeting and she couldn’t help but laugh quietly to herself.

The guys had been home from their first stint on Warped Tour and CC had walked into her small clothing store because he needed some new shirts. She had been behind the counter and as she looked up and into those gentle brown eyes of his, she knew she was done for. They had flirted all throughout her ringing him up, but neither one of them had made a move. Alex had put it from her mind, until she noticed that he seemed to be coming in more and more often until finally he was in there twice in one day and she asked him out.


“What are you laughing at?” He asked, his lips against her head and Alex said nothing as she only smirked and moved until she was laying ontop of him. She was so light and tiny that CC knew she was so easily breakable and that’s why he was always so careful around her.

“You and how shy you were when we first met…” She smiled at him, noticing the pout that was gracing his lips as he looked at her and Alex only shook her head as she kissed his pout gently.

“I was not shy-just careful…” He stopped as she kissed him once again and CC moved to deepen things a bit by reaching out and pushing her head towards him more.


Alex moved until she was straddling his lap, her hips grinding into his as her small hands rested against his cheeks and she licked her tongue across his bottom lip. Her head was ducked down, the soft fabric of the blanket fort pressing against her hair and she only smirked against his lips as CC moved until he was laying flat on his back. His hands ran hot trails over her skin until finally she felt his calloused finger tips touch the skin right above her pajama bottom and she smirked as she pulled away from him.

She lifted her arms over her head and Alex quickly disposed of her shirt and CC only stared at her now bared chest, his fingers reaching out towards her and she sighed as he made contact. Her head fell back, her long brown hair falling in waves down her back as she felt his tongue on her stomach, trailing up until he heard her gasp and CC knew he had her in the palm of his hand.


“Do you want to take this to the bedroom?” He asked against the skin of her neck. He had moved into a sitting position with her on his lap, her legs wrapped around his waist as her tiny fingers scratched at his shirt until she was able to pull the fabric up and expose his white skin.

“Nope…I do want you to get your fucking clothes off before I rip them off…” She said bluntly and CC only laughed as he moved away from her slightly, pulling his shirt over his head until his bare chest was up against hers and their lips were pressed together once again.

“Yes ma’am…” He smirked as CC leaned in and kissed her once again.


The couple enjoyed one another under their pile of blankets and as they both laid there, their chest heavy and the foreheads covered in sweat, CC could only smile softly to himself. He loved Alex-she was everything in the world to him and he only wished that they could be together all the time. He loved being with the guys, but everything with them was always business and when it wasn’t he was usually too wasted to remember it.

CC trailed his fingers over the skin of her bare arm and he smiled as he noticed that Alex had drifted off to sleep. He looked at the clock on the television and CC closed his own eyes as he noticed that it was already four in the morning. They had been at one another for two hours and while they had a lot of time to make up for, CC also knew that they had a solid month and a half before he would have to leave her again.

As he began to drift off, CC looked down at Alex once again and smiled as he placed a kiss against the top of her head. She was everything to him and while he hated being away from her-it was worth it to come home to something like this and as he finally fell asleep CC realized something.

He was home-he was right where he belonged and he wanted to live in this blanket fort with her for the rest of his life. He wanted her-forever and a day.
