“Come on babe just one more!” Ashley sighed as she smiled for the camera that was pointed towards her face and then she turned to the adorable man that was standing beside her.

“CC! I swear you have enough pictures of me already! Can we please just get this shopping trip done before they completely run out of everything we need for this summer!” She laughed and then squealed as CC came up from behind her and wrapped his long arms around her waist.

“Well I like looking at you when I lay in bed at night…so I need lots of material.” He smirked against her cheek and Ashley only rolled her eyes as she steered the cart around the corner and headed down the hair product aisle.

“Okay, but I’m coming with you this summer remember? Merch girl for the entire summer tour…” She laughed as she ran her hand behind the bottles of hairspray and smirked as they clattered down into her cart and Ashley continued to smile as she turned around and faced her boyfriend of over a year.


His brown eyes were lined slightly and Ash smirked as she looked up at his hair-it was still slightly teased from the night before when they had had a small signing and he didn’t even bother trying to tame it. His skinny hips were clad in a tight pair of black jeans and she smirked at him as Ashley ran her hands up and down his hoodie clad chest. They had been dating for a year-she had replied to an add online for a merchandising position for an up and coming band and when she showed she had no idea what she was getting in to.

Five guys-all in heavy makeup with their hair to the ceiling, were sitting at a table staring at her in her black Motley Crue shirt. The first one to speak had been Andy-whom Ash thought was arrogant, but he had grown on her in the past year. CC had been too shy to say much to her besides hello and welcome to the team, but they had spent almost an entire month together-flirting and teasing one another until finally Ash asked him out.


“Memorizing this gorgeous mug for when you’re away from me?” CC asked and he pouted as Ashley rolled her eyes at him and continued down the aisle towards the shampoo.

“Don’t flatter yourself Coma-I see your crazy mug every night behind that drum set and don’t think I don’t notice you scoping out chicks when you think I’m too busy selling shirts with your face on them…” She teased and CC only smirked as he looked at the girl of his dreams and drank in the site of her.


Her red hair was pulled up into a messy bun, her blue eyes shining as she crossed them and held up two different bottles of shampoo for him to pick between. He pointed to the one in her right hand because he had used it before and it helped to keep the volume in his hair. CC couldn’t help but check out the girl in front of him as they made their way down towards the makeup aisle-he needed more eyeliner and she needed some new nail polish.

Ash was wearing one of their new shirts-self promotion was always a plus when you were in love with the merchandising girl-and her jeans were tight against her tiny legs, her feet clad in an old pair of chucks that were way past their prime. He loved this girl-they loved one another and it was such a perfect fit for him that sometimes CC wondered if he was too lucky in life.


“Babe!” He called out, smiling as Ash whipped around and glared at him. CC was pointing a long arm over towards the toy aisle and Ashley only rolled her eyes as she steered the cart over towards the direction that her four year old man child of a boyfriend was running.

“C-we really don’t have time for this…” Ash said as she turned the corner and then burst out laughing. CC had squeezed his tiny butt onto a little girl's bike and was currently riding it down the aisle towards her. His smile was wide and she felt her heart melt as he passed her and grabbed for her hand-she loved this man, heart and soul…he was everything to her.

“I think this is gonna be my new ride this summer…” CC said as he stopped pedaling and tried to get off the bike. Ash only laughed as it seemed to be stuck on his hips and as CC stood the bike stayed stuck around his waist and he was trying desperately to tug it down.

“Sure-ride that around Warped this summer and watch all the big kid bands poke fun at you. We are still going tomorrow right? I mean I know we were delayed because of Andy and his rib situation, but he’s good to go right?” Ashley asked as she followed CC down the aisle and turned the corner, her eyes lighting up at she spotted a small child sized guitar sitting on one of the shelves.

“Everything should be good. Andy’s still hurting but he’ll get through. So guess what drops in a week?” CC asked as Ashley only smiled and picked the small guitar up and strummed at the strings softly. It was slightly out of tune, but with a few adjustments she would be able to play almost anything.

“Your new album-don’t think I’ve forgotten. Jon has been briefing me on sales of that thing for the entire spring…” Ash said as she smiled at him and cleared her throat. She began to strum a familiar tune and CC only stared at her, his skinny arms crossed over his even skinner chest.


Ashley had been playing guitar since she was thirteen years old. She was nothing compared to Jinxx or Jake, but the two experts had been showing her a thing or two every time they all went out on the road together. She closed her eyes, thinking back on some of the songs from the new album that she had heard and one in particular came to mind.

She hummed it at first, letting her fingers do the talking but as Ashley opened her eyes and saw that CC was looking at her with that intense look that he sometimes got, she felt the blush come to her cheeks. The song she was playing meant a lot to her and Ash knew that it meant a lot to the constant growing BVB Army. As she played, her voice picked up and even though they were standing in the middle of a Walmart in east LA-Ash didn’t care…she needed to sing this song out loud.

She stopped strumming and set the guitar down and as Ashley looked over towards CC she couldn’t help but smile. He had his phone out and she knew by the tiny light shining at her-he had been recording her the entire time. Ashley was a very private person and she rarely sang-not because she couldn’t…she just didn’t like the way her voice sounded, especially singing a song that was meant for a lower male voice. She smirked at him, flicking him off as Ash walked towards him and held her hand against the lens in hopes that she could prevent CC from getting anything else on camera.

She kissed him, her lip ring rubbing against his lips and soon the camera was forgotten as Ash had pushed CC up against a shelving unit, her hands up against his chest as she ran her tongue over his bottom lip. She felt him shudder beneath her touch and she knew that now was her moment. She grabbed for the phone in his out stretched hand and danced in victory as she retrieved it and began to search for the video that he had recorded.


“Babe! Come on!” CC whined and Ash only smirked at him as she scrolled up through his files and finally came across the video she was looking for.

“It’s for the best…” Ash said as she clicked a button and soon the video had disappeared. She smiled at him and then noticed that he looked really hurt and soon she was by his side, her arms wrapping around his skinny waist as she pressed up against him.

“You’re so mean to me…you know how much I love hearing you play…” He said, his words mumbled against the top of her head where he currently was pressing a kiss into her soft red hair.

“You hear me play every day, but the Army doesn’t need to see this up on your twitter in a matter of minutes…” She said as she pulled away from him slightly and her blue eyes met his. They loved one another-CC would do anything for Ashley and she would kill for him and sometimes they just had small disagreements…like now for instance.

“You ready to get home?” Ash asked as she pulled away from him completely and CC said nothing as he looked down at the wonderful girl that he had in his life.


He remembered the very moment that she had walked into that meeting-her Motley Crue shirt was all ruffled and wrinkled and her red hair was sticking up in the back from her running her fingers through it nervously. She stood in front of them with her toes pointed inwards and she had the most shy and adorable look in her crystal blue eyes. CC felt breathless sitting there watching her talk and he knew right then and there that he had to get to know her.

It had taken him forever to get the balls to even say hi to her and forget asking her out-Ashley had come up to him after a solid month of constant flirting and teasing and she asked him out. CC was lost in his own memories as they checked out and Ashley had to all but lead him across the parking lot and she laughed loudly when he smacked his knee into the car because he kept walking right into the passenger side door.


“You alright there buddy?” Ashley asked as she turned on the car and put it in reverse. CC turned to her, his brown eyes glazed over for a second before he seemed to realize where he was.

“Yeah…yeah sorry, just thinking about some shit…” He said softly, looking down at his black painted fingernails and Ashley only smiled at him softly as she turned the car on to the beltway and headed back towards their apartment.

“Come on C…tell me what’s going on…”Ash said, her voice playful as she turned to him since they were stuck in traffic. She loved LA-but fuck it shouldn’t take two hours to get ten miles down the fucking road.

“I love you Ashley…” He said, his voice low and Ash had to turn down the music so that she could hear him. Looking over, she noticed that CC had a soft look to his usually angular features and it almost seemed like he was about to cry.

“I love you too CC…what’s going on?” She asked, almost too scared to hear his answer. Was this it? Was he that upset about the video that he was now going to end things with her?

“I’m just really glad we met…I’m really glad that I get to spend so much time with you…” His bright smile was back and Ashley only smirked as she leaned over and pressed her lips against his. Her piercings were shining in the midday sun and as CC pulled away from her, his hand still resting against her cheek-he felt himself fall in love with her all over again. She was everything to him-goofy, funny and loving and he couldn’t picture being with anyone else in this moment in his life.

“Yeah well you’ll get sick of me eventually…” She smirked at him, pressing her lips to his once again and then she pulled away as traffic in front of them began to move. CC stared at her and he smiled as he thought of what their summer held in store for the young couple and he knew then and there that he would always love Ashley Mullins.

“…never babe…never will I ever get sick of seeing your beautiful face every single day…”
