We're Setting Worlds On Fire

Andy felt numb, he couldn’t feel his arms, his legs or his face in that moment and he wondered silently if he was having a heart attack. Lily-the Angel who always followed the rules-was now straddling his legs and looking down at him with a very devious look in her lavender eyes. Was she serious right now? What about the consequences? What about the fire and brimstone that would befall the both should they ever give in to their passions? Where the Hell had all of that gone. Andy looked up at her and there was something in those eyes of hers-something that told him that she was serious-and Andy only smiled.

“Ar-are you serious right now?” Andy asked as he placed his hands on her sides and Lily only smiled at him. Her hair was hanging in front of her like a sheet and Andy held back as he desperately wanted to reach out and sweep her light blonde tresses out of the way.

“Why not?” Lily asked as she moved her hips slightly and Andy had to hold in his groan. She was teasing him-she had to be.

“Well I mean you’ve been scaring the shit out of me the past few months-telling me if we ever give in to that passion that I’ve got a one way ticket to Hell and your wings are going to be ripped out of their sockets. For one…” He laughed and Lily only smiled down at him as she leaned down and pressed her lips against his.

“I don’t care about any of that right now…I only care about you.” She whispered, her lips still against his as she smiled and bit down on his lip ring. Andy groaned and with as much strength as he could muster, he pushed Lily away.

“Yeah, but I care too and I don’t want to get you in trouble.” Andy said and Lily only looked down at him, sighing heavily as she sat up a little bit more. Her shirt had ridden up her stomach and Andy wanted to reach out and run his fingers right across where the waist band of her jeans met her skin.

“It’s just one night Andy-just tonight I want us to be together…lets be human together.” Lily’s eyes were filled with a childlike glee that he hadn’t seen since she was human and he found it infectious.

“Just tonight? That’s all I’m good for?” He asked, half kidding but he couldn’t help but feel slightly hurt. Was she just using him? Was this just some game to Lily at this point?

“It has to be only for tonight…I want more, but I don’t think there can ever be anything more for us. Can we just have tonight…please?” Lily asked, her bottom lip sticking out and Andy only smiled softly as he looked up at her.


She looked so perfect sitting on top of him-almost like she had never left. Andy had missed this-he had missed her and Lily knew it. She had watched him, she had heard him cry out for her at night and he knew she had seen him wake in the mornings-tears running down his cheeks as he looked around for her. She had come back to him, hatred filling her heart but not because she wanted to feel that way and Andy knew that it was only a matter of time before she came back to him entirely.

Now here they were, in her bunk with the curtain closed and everyone else on the bus was fast asleep-no one would know. It would only be for this one night, which made Andy sad to think about, but one night with Lily was worth the pain…it was worth everything.


“I love you.” He said before Andy reached for Lily’s face and brought her lips crashing down to his.


They kissed, Andy running his hands through her hair while Lily clung to him, moaning into his mouth as his tongue ran across her bottom lip and she let him in. His hands moved from the back of her head down to her chest, his fingers reaching out and grabbing. Lily moved her arms, letting him pull her shirt up and over her head and then she tossed her head back as his lips clamped down on her most sensitive parts. He licked his tongue across her flesh and Lily bit down on her bottom lip as she held in a low moan. This had been what they had been missing-they loved one another, but nothing said love like being completely intimate and free with someone. Lily felt drunk in that moment, drunk off of his love and her own.

He ran his strong hands across her stomach while he still had his mouth on her skin and Lily smiled as she moved so that she was hovering over him, her hands on either side of his head and her lips were on his once again. He had his hands on her back, but they were quickly traveling south-cupping her butt and Andy found himself wishing that she didn’t have so many clothes on. Lily must’ve been able to read his mind because as he kissed and licked at her lips, Andy noticed that her pants were being removed, but her lips never left his. Soon enough she was sitting on top of him in nothing but her underwear and Andy knew that he needed to remove some of his own clothing.

The vest was the first thing to go, then his pants which Lily gladly helped him with and they were back to kissing one another. Andy moved, flipping them over so that he hovered over her and his blue eyes shined in the dim light from her lamp as Lily looked up at him. There was something there-something so pure shining from his eyes that it made her want to weep and she knew that she never wanted this moment to end. He kissed her, biting her lips and then sucking on them to make them feel better and Lily laughed as he began to trail kisses down her neck and stomach. Finally he reached his destination and Lily felt her eyes go wide as she ran her fingers through his long black hair.

She had never been on fire before, but Lily was pretty sure if she was…this is what it would feel like. Andy made her feel something that she had never felt before-even when she was a human. He made her feel free, like she could be whatever, be whoever she wanted to be and that was the best feeling in the world. Even when she was a human, Lily had always felt pressured to be a certain way and she had never managed to succeed. Then she had died and come back, thinking that she would finally get her chance, that hadn’t worked out so well either and here they were-breaking the rules. But rules were meant to be broken and as Andy moved back up her body and pressed a kiss to her lips, Lily was happy to be breaking the rules.


“I see you’ve learned some new things since I’ve been gone…” She quipped and Andy only smirked, blushing as he buried his head into her shoulder and sucked on her skin lightly.

“You would be surprised-not everything Ashley taught me was terrible…” He was looking down at her, smiling so happily that Lily couldn’t keep her own smile from her lips.

“I’ll be sure to thank him the next time I see him.” She said and Andy only smirked as he moved against her, his boxers were still on, but Lily could tell that they wouldn’t be for long.

“Are you sure about this?” Andy asked, his hands moving downward and Lily only rolled her eyes as she pressed a kiss to his collarbone and then smiled.

“I am, we need this…we need this time together…we need to say goodbye.” Lily said, her voice sad and Andy knew that she didn’t want it to be this way.

“Is this really goodbye?” He asked and Lily felt the tears come to her eyes. Dammit-she didn’t want to cry and ruin things…she just wanted to make love to someone who meant the world to her.

“I mean I’m not leaving, but yeah…yeah this is the goodbye we never got Andy…lets not waste it.” She said, the tears in her voice evident and Andy only smiled as he kissed her.


As his tongue pushed against her lips, Lily felt something else pushing against her and she only smiled as she bent her knees and closed her eyes. This was it-this is what they had both been wanting and needing for so long. As he kissed her, long and slow, Andy slowing moved against her, hissing as everything gave way and he felt like he had come home. This is where he was meant to be-with Lily, in every single way possible. She wrapped her arms around his neck, moving up to meet him slightly and Andy felt like he couldn’t hold anything back. Their first time together had been very careful, very inexperienced and Andy had always regretted never starting things earlier.

He groaned as Lily bucked her hips up to meet his and Andy bit down on his lip ring to keep from crying out loudly. He could feel the sweat falling down his back and he hissed as Lily dragged her nails across his skin and kissed his neck. She bit down, sucking on his skin as he pushed into her over and over again and Lily felt her eyes roll in to the back of her head. She had been to Heaven and she knew what inner peace was, but none of that compared to being in this moment with Andy.

As they made love, Lily didn’t once think about any of her consequences or what they would face in the morning. All she could think about was being as close to Andy as possible and how she could make that happen. She moved then, moving to lay on her side and Andy just moved with her. Her back was against his chest and he held her tightly, his chin resting on her exposed shoulder as they tried to keep their rhythm. Lily felt like she was on fire, her limbs were numb and she felt like she couldn’t think. She just went with the flow, but there was the thought in the back of her mind that their time was fleeting.

Things were coming-Satan and his Army were getting ready and Lily knew that they needed to be doing the same. The clock was ticking down and while she wanted to enjoy this moment with Andy, Lily couldn’t help but feel scared. They weren’t ready-even with two Angels and Demon they would probably never be ready. Andy groaned lowly in her ear, bringing her back to the present and Lily only smiled as she felt Andy’s hand grip at her stomach and soon they were moving again. She was now on top, staring down at him and the look in his eyes made her want to cry.

She was the only girl in the world-the only thing that mattered. She was his moon, his sun, and his stars-she was his everything. He looked up at her, biting down on his lower lip and Lily loved that she could look into those blue orbs as they made love for the last time. Their first time had been rushed and slightly awkward, but now they could take their time-they had to take their time. Lily moved her hips slowly, stopping and then starting, slowing down and then speeding up-Andy was getting frustrated and she could tell by how furrowed his brow was getting. He had his hands on her hips and Andy was moving her against him quickly-they were both reaching their peaks.


“Lily…” He moaned softly and the Angel only smiled as she looked down at him, resting on her hands as she pressed her lips against his quickly.

“I know…I know.” She said, her voice sad and they both knew-things were truly coming to an end.

“I need you…I love you…” His voice was breathy and Lily could feel him tensing beneath her. She sped up, her lips pressing against his as she kissed him deeply and just kept going.

“I know…I love you too…” She said, pulling away, but her breath was coming out in short bursts and Lily could feel everything building up inside of her.


Suddenly she had her lips pressed against his and she was kissing him as hard as she could to try and keep in her low moans in. She was feeling it-the wave of their love was taking her over and as Lily moved her hips against his, Andy was feeling his own pressure build. They had their hands grapsed together, resting on the pillow above Andy’s head and as Lily felt herself let go, she knew that there were tears running down her cheeks. She didn’t want to let go, she didn’t want any of this to end but she knew it had to…they had to be over.

Andy felt Lily give in to her passion and he knew that soon enough he would have to do the same. He bit down on her lip, moaning into her mouth as he kept her quiet and it stifled his own passion. As the pressure began to release and Andy felt his entire body tense up, it felt like everything was coming to a full stop. They had been through so much-pain, agony, anger and sadness, but there was so much more to be happy about. They loved one another, Andy was sure of that now, but he knew that their love couldn’t last. He was hard headed, but finally he understood what Lily was trying to tell him all along.

They loved one another, but they couldn’t love one another like they should and that wasn’t fair to either one of them.


“I-I love you…” She said, her voice low and breathless as Lily collapsed against his chest and Andy only smiled as he let her fall in to his arms. His hands were resting against her naked back and he began to draw lazy circles over her skin as she laid there.

“I love you too Lily…always.” He said and Andy found that there were tears in his eyes. Why? Why did it have to be this way? Why did it have to end this way?

“Promise?” She asked, her head against his chest and her face was pointing away from his, but Andy knew. Lily was crying softly, he could hear it in her voice and he could feel her tears running rivers down his bare chest.

“I promise…” He said, trying to keep his voice strong but it cracked in that last moment.


They laid there, holding one another as they cried…they held one another as they said goodbye to what they could have been, but would never be again.

Bittersweet, but everything has finally happened.

So, I have a proposal for you all-I can update this every day from now on, but that means two things. First-this story would be done in the next week, getting you guys closer to the end quicker. The catch, of course, it that it's no longer being drawn out and it is over quicker and there is no third part to this series. Let me know and I'll either update tomorrow or on Saturday.
