We're Setting Worlds On Fire

It had now been two weeks since the video shoot for Fallen Angels and Lily still hadn’t done anything about the information that Michael had given her. They were on tour, having finally finished in the recording studio, save for one song which none of the guys could figure out, and of course Lily was with them. Michael had also tagged along, wanting to be close in case the Demonic War cry sounded out and Lily was happy for his company. It was funny watching the prissy Angel get used to tour life-where you rarely got a shower and when you did it was quick and usually cold. They were all excited though-the tour had been going well and everything was as it should be.

Everything but her relationship with Andy. Lily just couldn’t let herself go through with it-she couldn’t risk loving Andy and then losing him and having to watch him be thrown back down to Hell. In that moment she was laying in her bunk, meditating but she found that she couldn’t concentrate on anything beside Andy and their predicament.

Should she turn him human? She hadn’t even known that Angels had the power to do that, but according to Michael she was more than capable. How would Andy react if she offered it to him? Of course he would say yes, but they needed his Demon strength and speed for the upcoming War.

Lily cracked her eyes open and looked around, the inside of her bunk was lined with a soft grey lining, which she had covered with pictures. Pictures from her past with Andy, pictures of the guys when they were first getting started-pictures that she had missed while she was in Heaven. Andy had said he had gotten rid of all her things after she had died, but a quick peek around his apartment that he shared with Jinxx and it was clear that that wasn’t true.

He had kept a lot of things-mostly the photos and small mementos of their relationship. The tickets to Disneyland, movie stubs from their dates to the cheap movie theater that was around the corner and even old takeout receipts.

Lily sighed, running a hand through her long bangs as she looked down near her toes. Her tiny frame was covered in a loose fitting The Damned tank top, her legs bare except for the short sleep pants that she had put on. She had missed being in normal clothes-wearing white every day had been boring and she was kind of happy to have her style back. Lily had missed being human-she would never admit it to anyone, but she had missed the simple pleasures of being a human on Earth and loving something.

Suddenly she felt the tears begin to well in her eyes and Lily knew that she was going to cry again. That’s all she felt like doing anymore-crying and feeling sorry for herself.
Lily brought her hands up to cover her eyes and as soon as she saw the darkness of her palms she burst in to heavy sobs. This was so unfair-having to make this choice between being happy and being responsible…it wasn’t something Lily should have to be thinking about.

She cried, her shoulders shaking softly and Lily knew that there was no going back if she did what she wanted to do. Andy would be human-completely capable of being killed and that thought only made her cry harder. Why did this have to be so difficult? Suddenly someone was touching her shoulder and Lily jumped as she dropped her hands and looked up.


“Hey. Hey you okay ‘Lil?” Those blue eyes-seeing those blue eyes only made her cry more and soon enough Lily found herself being held in a pair of strong tattooed arms. She looked down, her vision blurry, but she could just make out some of the tattoos on Andy’s pale skin. His Batman symbol, the Misfits skull and his Mortician’s Daughter girl running around with a pair of scissors. There were so many tattoos that Lily could hardly see what they all were.

“Y-yeah. I’ll be okay…just feeling a little emotional.” She said as she wiped at her cheeks and moved to snuggle in to his side more. He had an arm wrapped around her, his fingers trailing across her side and Lily smiled against his chest before looking up at him.

“Why so emotional?” Andy asked, the small smirk on his lips and Lily felt stupid. What was she going to say? Sorry-I just really want to turn you into a human so we can bang, even though it means that you’ll have a better chance of dying during the War?

Yeah-that’ll go over smoothly.

“I just…I’m feeling a little frustrated right now.” Lily blushed, her pale cheeks a light pink and Andy only chuckled lowly as he ran his fingers up and down her sides a few more times.

“Well I mean I can take care of that. What are boyfriends for…” He stopped, his eyes going wide and he clamped his mouth shut. Is that what they were to one another? Had they gotten back to that point where they were a couple again? In Andy’s mind they had always been one-Lily had just needed a break.

“I-um-yeah, yeah I guess that does fit your job description.” Lily giggled as she moved to rest a hand on the side of his face and Andy smiled as his lips captured hers.


They kissed with more passion than they ever had and for Lily it was like coming home in that moment. She had dreamed of this-sort of-for a very long time and it was one of the only things that kept her going when she was in Heaven. Andy pressed his hands against the small of her back, pushing her towards him more and Lily molded her body against his and tried to fill every curve of his body with her own. She was on top of him now, pressing herself against him and as his hands traveled down and cupped her short clad butt, Lily smirked against his lips and pulled away.


“Copping a feel are we?” She asked, raising an eyebrow and Andy only shrugged as he pressed his lips against her cheek and then trailed soft butterfly kisses down the side of her neck.

“Maybe-you gonna beat me up?” He asked, his lips mumbling against her skin and Lily only smiled before a gasp escaped her lips. He had bit down on the skin of her neck, gently, and was now sucking the soft flesh into his mouth before letting go and moving to another spot.

“N-no…” She moaned and then suddenly they were rolling over and now Andy was on top. He smirked down at her, his blue eyes serious as his hands moved across her stomach on their way down south.

“Are you sure…I don’t want to go flying across the bus for making a move on you-Little Angel.” Andy said, his low voice horse as his fingers travelled underneath the band of her shorts and Lily only smiled as she pressed her lips against his quickly.

“Little Angel huh?” She joked but then she stopped talking as his fingers moved around slightly and Lily felt something begin to burn within her soul. She felt on fire at his touch-she felt like she could die in that moment and none of it would matter.


Andy said nothing as he just smirked against her skin and let his fingers do his talking for him. They kissed, their tongues battling for room and lily bit down on the only thing she could get her teeth on-his lip ring. Andy groaned against her mouth, his fingers moving more urgently and soon Lily found her hips bucking in the air slightly to try and meet his touch.

The two of them were so engrossed in one another that they didn’t even notice that the bus had stopped moving. Where were they anyways? Somewhere in the Midwest probably and Andy only sighed against her lips as Lily sucked on his bottom lip. Suddenly there was a knock and the two of them jumped apart like they had been electrocuted.


“Lily! We’ve stopped at a Truck Stop to gas up-do you want anything?” CC asked from outside her bunk and Lily only sighed as her head hit the pillow and she looked up at Andy. Just like old times…CC still had the worst timing ever.

“N-no…no I’m fine thanks C.” Lily said, her voice cracking and she only hoped that CC wouldn’t be able to tell.

“Okay-hey! Have you seen Andy?” The drummer asked and Lily had to bite down on a knuckle to keep from laughing. She pressed a finger against those perfectly pierced lips and Andy only smirked and licked her skin softly.

“No. No I haven’t seen him.” Lily held back her laughter and she only hoped that CC wouldn’t pull the curtain open. The guys saw the two of them together, kissing and holding hands backstage, but this was another level and neither one of them was ready to explain things.

“Oh-okay. Well I see you later.” CC said and Lily kept silent as she listened for his retreating footsteps.

“That was fun…” Andy said as he moved and was soon flopping down on the mattress beside her. Lily only sighed, her bangs puffing out from her face and she couldn’t help but laugh.

“That poor guy has the worst timing in the world.” Lily laughed, her hands folded and laying on top of her stomach as she looked up at the ceiling of her bunk. Michael had taken the bunk above her own and the two of them would often meditate together because it helped them recharge faster.

“Yeah-yeah he really does.” Andy said, his voice thick and syrupy sounding and Lily just smiled as she turned her head and looked at him.


His black hair was hanging in his eyes, one blue eye blocked but Lily knew he was staring right at her. His lips were held in a gentle smile and as Andy moved to sit up, his head resting on one of her hands, he placed a hand against the side of her face and rubbed his thumb across her bottom lip. She smiled, kissing his thumb as he moved it across her skin and Lily felt completely at peace in that moment. Their intimacy had been broken-the time had passed, but they had made progress and that was better than nothing.

Lily leaned in, pressing a small kiss to his lips and as she pulled away she noticed that Andy had closed his eyes briefly. His eye lids looked bruised, but it was just from the black eyeshadow that he never seemed to wash off. It wouldn’t shock her if he did have bruised eyelids-Andy was constantly getting in to fights with people in the crowd.

Lily kept telling him that one of these days he was going to get seriously hurt, but Andy seemed to welcome the onslaught. He was tired of being booed at and while Lily had been able to control the situation-there was going to come a time when she wasn’t going to be there.


“So serious all of a sudden.” Andy smirked at her and Lily shook her head, her thoughts clearing as she looked at him. Andy’s blue eyes were shining with so much love in that moment that it made Lily heart sore. He loved her so much and yet she knew she would never be able to return his love in full.

“Sorry, just thinking about things.” Lily said as she cleared her throat and smiled at him softly. Change the subject Lily-don’t let him see your true intentions.

“What kind of things?” Andy asked as he trailed a finger across her exposed collar bone and then smirked when she shivered.

“What would you do if you were human?” She asked suddenly, unable to help herself.

“Hmm, well I would still love you. Does that count as a decent answer?” Andy laughed and Lily only smiled. Inside she was screaming-why had Michael told her about that little power of hers? She could do it-she could just reach out, press her lips against Andy’s and make him human, but she just could not make herself.

“Yeah, yeah it does. Aren’t you tired? It’s almost five in the morning.” Lily asked as she looked at the small clock that was hanging in her bunk. The guys had a show that night and Lily knew Andy needed to get some rest before hand.

“I am, but I wanted to come cuddle with you.” He said, burying his head in her soft pillow and Lily only smiled. He always wanted to come cuddle with her before going to sleep because in Andy’s mind if he looked cute enough he would be allowed to stay.

“Ah-I see. Are you sufficiently cuddled?” She asked, laughter in her voice and Andy only sighed as he looked up at her. His hair was a mess and Lily knew it needed to be cute-badly. But Andy liked his long hair and Lily wasn’t going to make him do anything that would upset both him and his adoring fans.

“I dunno-are you sufficiently horny?” He asked, that devilish smirk on his lips and Lily only blushed. What would have happened if CC hadn’t interrupted them? Would they have gone all the way?

“I guess you’ll never know…” Lily laughed as Andy’s face fell and he began to pout.

“Why are you so mean to me Lily? Don’t you love me?” He asked and Lily only smiled as she moved in and pressed her lips against his. Of course she did-more than anything in the world.

“I do, very much.” She said, her voice strong and Andy only sighed as he sat up. He moved his hand to the side of her face, tucking a piece of stray hair behind her ears and Lily smiled softly-time for Andy to go.

“Then can I sleep in here with you?” He asked, his voice childlike and soft. Lily only sighed as she leaned in and pressed her lips against his.

“Please Lily…I miss you.” He begged again and Lily sighed as she moved to get up, reaching to grab his hand and tugging him along with her.

“Not tonight Andy…not tonight…” She said sadly as she watched him get out of her bunk and move over to sleep in his own.


It broke her heart to see him close his curtain on her and Lily knew…she wasn’t going to be able to resist him much longer.
