We're Setting Worlds On Fire

Fire, Water, Wind and Earth

Lily held her breath as she and Andy stood on the outside of the dressing room door. Loud shouts and laughter could be heard coming from within and Lily knew it was going to be tough just to get the guys to settle down and listen to her. Forget believing her-that was probably never going to happen. Andy looked down at her and he noticed that Lily seemed to be staring straight out in front of her.

He wished she would look at him-just once he wanted her to train those gorgeous lavender eyes on him and look at him like she used to. She used to look at him like he was it for her-no one else mattered. Now every time he caught her eye, all he saw was the anger and disappointment. He still had a hand on her shoulder and Andy was shocked that Lily was letting him touch her for this amount of time.

Something was different about her-she had powers, but there was this thing deep within her that only Andy seemed to be able to notice. She wasn’t just powerful-she was divine…perfect. He had read about Angels when he had been in school and while it was always in a negative light, Andy had always felt fascinated by them.

They were perfect creations, made entirely to Gods specifications and they rarely decided to leave Heaven and come to Earth. There were only two Angels-not including Lily-who had willingly fallen to Earth. Lucifer, who had been God’s favorite and a brother to Angels Gabriel, Michael and Uriel among others, but there was one more Angel who had fallen.

Castiel.

Not much was known about him anymore because he had fallen so long ago, but Andy had always been interested in the story. Castiel had fallen in love with a human, he watched her every day from the Heaven’s until one day he noticed that she became sick. Metetron and Michael, it is said, pleaded with him to let the human be, but Castiel refused and with a resolve in his eyes he vanished over the edge of Heaven.

Andy had researched and looked-even after coming to Earth he had begged Lily to take him to what she called a Library so that he could see if he could find anything. There was nothing and Andy only became more frustrated as time went on. After the band got together he had forgotten all about Castiel…until now.

“You gonna open the door or just stand here and stare at it some more?” He joked and Andy suddenly felt terrible as Lily looked at him. She was petrified and she looked so human standing there with her arms crossed over her chest, her nails digging in to the fabric that covered her shoulders. She seemed…normal in that moment and Andy had to fight hard within himself not to lean down and kiss her.

“I-um…yeah.” Lily said, shaking her head as she placed a hand on the doorknob and turned it. Andy sighed as he was met by loud laughter and giggling. He should be used to this by now, but for whatever reason he could never understand the guys need to constantly have girls around.

“Guys?Guys?Guys!” Andy called out over the shouting and everyone grew eerily silent as they looked to the two of them standing in the door way.

Lily sighed as she stood in the doorway and looked into the room before her-she could only shake her head at the scene in front of her. Andy had walked in, high fiving Jake as he passed the couch on his way to the corner where his duffle bag was located. Lily watched as he packed up his stuff, oblivious to the things that were happening around him. Lily looked around, horrified at what she saw.

Jake was sitting on the couch with Jinxx next to him and both guys were laughing at something that the girl who was sitting with them said. The girl-Lily noticed-was sitting on Jinxx’s knee and she was laughing and giggling her head off as her legs remained draped over Jake’s lap. Lily only raised an eyebrow as she made eye contact with Jake and noticed that he looked really embarrassed as she stared him down.

Good-he should feel ashamed.

Next Lily focused on CC, who was leaning up against a far wall with a beer in one hand and Lily only smirked as she noticed that he was twirling a drumstick in his other hand. He was flirting with a girl who, Lily noticed, looked like she was barely of age and was hanging off of every word that was coming out of CC’s mouth. Nothing compared to Ashley though-he was a sad sight to behold. He was sitting in the only chair in the entire room, but the way he had one leg thrown over the side, he made it look more like a throne.

Lily scoffed as she noticed the blonde on his left who was not only holding her own drink, but his as well. The red head on his right was giggling as she rubbed her hands up and down his tattooed arm and she was looking down at the bassist like he was a God. Finally the last girl-another blonde-was standing behind the chair and Lily could hardly hold in her laughter as she watched the girl rub Ashley’s shoulders gently.

This was disgusting and Lily had seen enough.

“Hey guys. We need to have a bit of a chat before we hit the road and head back to LA.” Lily said as she walked fully into the room and made eye contact with all of the guys. Everyone grew quiet as they saw her standing there-except Ashley of course. He was still sitting there, ignoring her as the girls continued to fawn over him pathetically.

“Come on Lil’-we’re tired. Can’t we just talk tomorrow or when we get back home?” CC whined as the girl at his side looked from the drummer, towards Lily and then back again. The Angel only smirked as she snapped her fingers together and all of the girls in the room looked up at her. They all looked slightly confused, but one by one they all filed out of the room, passing by Lily silently as they left.

“Hey!” Ashley growled as he stood up, but stopped in his tracks as Lily just shut the door and looked right at him. He looked pissed, but so did she and Ash knew that Lily was not playing around. She looked at him and Lily couldn’t keep the smirk off of her lips as she looked at his pissed expression and she knew that she had ruined his game for the night but Lily couldn’t give two shits.

“Sit the fuck down and shut up Purdy.” Lily said, her voice low and deadly as she walked further into the room and grabbed for Ashley’s empty chair.

They were all staring at her as Lily sat down and faced them all with a look of determination-they were all going to listen to her and they were going hear what she had to say. Crossing her arms over her chest, Lily noticed that the guys had all sat down together on the small couch and things were looking a little cramped. Jake, Jinxx, and CC were all actually sitting on the couch, their knees touching and they were squeezed together as they looked at her expectantly. Andy was perched on one of the arm rests, his chin resting in a hand as his elbow rested on a bent knee and he was looking at her with that stupid doe eyed look on his face once again-he needed to cut that shit out.

Ash was sitting on the other arm rest, both knees bent and pressed against his still bare chest and he had his arms crossed over his knees as he stared her down. The look on his face was the complete opposite of Andy’s and Lily could only smirk as she returned it. Pure and simple hate laid in those brown eyes, but Lily wasn’t scared of him-she never would be again.

“Is this the part where you sit down and explain to us why you’re here? Because some of us really don’t give a shit and would rather you disappear all over again.” Ashley said gruffly and Lily had to fight everything in herself to not run at him in that moment. Andy growled lowly at his band mate, but he stayed put.

“Dude shut the fuck up or I swear to God!” Andy snarled as he kept his eyes on Ash. Ashley only rolled his eyes at this outburst- of course Andy would jump at the chance to defend Lily and to become her protector once again.

“I’m here because the five of you- not just Andy- have completely and totally fucked things up. I mean there is a shit storm going on around this small group and none of you could even be bothered to take notice.” Lily said as she stood in front of them all and stared them down. They looked like a group of scolded children and it was perfect.

“Did we really fuck up that badly? I mean we were just having some fun…” Jake said, his voice slightly defensive and Lily only sighed. How could she explain this to them so that they would not only understand, but remain open minded.

“I know you guys didn’t do any of this on purpose, but keeping Andy away from the fans…partying instead of connecting with them-you’ve destroyed everything that you worked so hard to build. You’re Army is dying and I was thrown down here-not by choice- to stop everything from getting even worse.” Lily said and she could see the tears welling in Andy’s eyes all over again. This was his fault-everything was his fault.

Lily spent the next hour telling the group before her the cold hard facts. Because of their partying and seclusion from their fans, the Army had fallen under hard times. She watched as all of the guys- even hard hearted Ashley- became devastated when she told them of Satan’s plans for the Army and what had already happened. The hybrids were being created from their own fans and this fact seemed to hit the group especially hard.

Lily then moved into explaining her plan-touring as much as possible, meet and greets before every show for at least an hour and the partying had to die down. The guys seemed all for it, well they didn’t seem happy about the thought of partying less, but Lily would make them suck it up.

“So you still haven’t told us about you…” Jinxx said, his eyes curious as Lily just stood before them all. She looked like the same girl, but they all knew there was something different about her. They all had seen her powers earlier…now they needed answers.

“I’m an Angel Warrior that has been sent down to whip the five of you in to shape. I can control three of the four elements. I can sort of bend time and space but I’m still practicing and while I am still learning this…I can use willful mind control on humans.” She said all of this softly, never making eye contact with the group in front of her and instead she stared down at her shoes.

“Why only three elements?” Jake asked and Lily blushed deeply. It wasn’t her fault that she had been thrown down here before she was ready. So why did they all look at her like she was a small child who didn’t know what she was doing?

“Wind, water, and fire are all tied to my emotions. Earth is another story-it’s not tied to anything.” Lily explained, hoping that this all made sense. They were all just looking at her with blank expressions on their faces and Lily sighed. She grabbed for the lighter that was sitting on the table between she and the guys.

She flicked the lighter on, the small flame dancing slightly with the moving air in the room. Lily closed her eyes, focusing as her free hand hovered infront of the small flame. She thought back to how she felt when she was watching Ashley fuck everything up. How Andy would ignore his fans and as she thought back on all of this, Lily felt her anger rise up. Lily opened her eyes and noticed that the guys were all holding their breath. She smirked as Lily snapped her fingers and suddenly the fire grew.

Higher and higher until it began to morph into a basic form. Soon enough a giant dragon was floating around the ceiling and the guys all looked up in shock and awe. Lily only chuckled at their child like wonder and they all ducked as the dragon hissed at them-sparks flying out of its open mouth. She reached for a nearby water bottle and pressed her fingers around it tightly.

The water began to flow out of the bottle, forming the shape of a huge bird that began to flap its wings. The two forms flew around one another and as they battled one another the guys stayed silent. Finally the dragon was extinguished and the guys were all staring at her open mouthed.

“Well that’s enough of that.” Lily said and she watched as the guys all jumped up and began to move around the room to get their things. Soon enough they were all packed and heading out towards the van one by one.

“Wanna sit next to me?” Andy asked from behind her and Lily only sighed as she looked over her shoulder at him and headed out to the van. This was going to be hard.

No.” She said simply as they both walked outside and the cool air hit her flushed face.

“Can I touch your wings?” Andy asked and Lily only groaned as she got into the front seat of the van-Andy would be driving and wanted the company.

“No.” This wasn’t going to be hard…not at all.

It was going to be fucking impossible.

Aww I'm so glad you liked it! This series was really fun for me to write because I was able to put so much imagery in to it.

Just finished this series and oh my gosh! I can honestly say that a fan fiction had not made me cry until now. This story hit me right in the feels, expecially the 'just tonight' chapter. It just makes me so sad that they love each other so much but they can't be together. Anyways I love your stories, they are some of my favorites on this site :).

I just have to say that after reading this I now look at God Bless You as a way of telling Satan off

@Truly A Teenage Runaway

Aww well thanks! Start with A Love By Mistake as that is actually where this story is supposed to go. I warn you-I have A LOT of work haha so it may take some time.
