Give Me A Sign, I Want To Believe

Thanks

September 10th, 2013

Hey guys,

So thanks for all the support you've given me in attempts to keep posting. As you all would like to know, I will keep updating this story. I know you all thought this was a nice update with a real chapter but sadly, it's another author's note. I'm sorry for another one of these. They can be a real pain sometimes, even when your favorite story gets updated when in reality it was just a note telling you something about the author and an apology or about a sequel or something.

But you guys have been really nice to me, and respecting my personal issues as I'm working them out right now. School's been off and on good. It hasn't even been a month and i'm ready for the last day. People have started to piss me off so much to the point where i want to punch them. in the face. in front of a teacher. And i'm also dealing with being in a language class with a few friends and their not really talking to me, which makes me feel bad and just left out. i'm used to it but it just stings when you're BEST friend is in the same class as you and they choose to talk to someone else than you.

So, because you guys have been nice to me and we have a good amount of views i'm going to give you a preview of what's in the next chapter. Here it is:

Allyson’s Point of View
“JAKE!” I screamed as the ceiling fell over Jake. Trixy had jumped out of my arms and rushed to Jake’s side. I sat there frozen. I couldn’t move. I started shaking under the door frame as I fell to my knees. Tears were pouring down my cheeks. The earthquake had subsided and I was just sitting on the floor staring at where Jake’s body was. I was hoping he was still alive.

“please be alive. Jake please. I love you.” I whispered. My phone started vibrating and I shakily answered it.

“hello?” my voice was barely an audible whisper.

“Allyson, are you and Jake okay? It’s Ashley. I’m fine. But Jake’s not answering his phone. Please tell me you’re both okay.” I cried even harder.

“i-i. Jake.. he’s.. Ashley I think Jake is dead.” I bit my trembling lip. Trixy hadn’t returned and I was scared.

There was a long heavy silence.

“I’m walking over there now. Stay where you are.” With that the line went dead and I looked over and saw Trixy trying to dig her way to Jake, I presumed.

“Trixy, I don’t think he’s here anymore.” Trixy whimpered and stuck her nose under the rubble. I could faintly here the sounds of sirens. I looked down and curled up into a ball

I finally had a chance at love and now he’s gone. My love was gone. If only I had run to Jake, I wouldn’t be alone. Why didn’t I just stay in the drum room a bit longer? These thoughts swirled through my mind. I kept crying as I thought about Jake not ever coming home. Why didn’t I tell him to stay where he was? This is my fault.

I had cried for a good hour before I couldn’t cry anymore and my throat was in pain.

“Allyson? Are you there?” The familiar voice filled the air. I sat up and looked over to see Ashley standing in the door way. He saw me and jumped over rubble to get to me.

“Do you know where Jake is? Maybe we can try to get him out.” I nodded and walked to where Trixy was. That was when I saw jet black hair and blood. I looked away. He’s gone for good.

Ashley looked at me and rubbed my back before he walked over to the ceiling covering Jake. He slightly moved the broken ceiling only to reveal Jake’s face covered by his hair and a small stream of blood trailing down his face.

“Ashley, he’s gone. There’s no way he could’ve survived.” I said, thinking the worst possibility becoming a reality. Ash shook his head and dialed a number and started talking. I zoned out all the noise and closed my eyes, while falling to my knees. I opened them and looked at Jake’s face.

I pushed his hair out of his face and wiped up the crusted blood on his forehead.

“please don’t be gone.” I shut my eyes and kissed his forehead. I stood back up and leaned into Ash’s side. He pecked my head and looked me in the eye.

“Ally, don’t think like that. I called an ambulance and they should be here in a minute. Jake will make it.” Just then, I heard loud sirens and people yelling, ‘Over Here!’

A small group of firefighters and EMTs came over to Ash and I. We showed them Jake and they pulled the rubble off of him and rushed him to the, still intact, hospital. Ashley and I hopped into the ambulance with them.
