Chapter Five: I Can't Live Without You

Andy's POV

Tour is a fucking bitch.

Jack is a fucking bitch.

Life is just a bitch.

"I'm not going." I argued over the phone to Jinxx. If anyone, he would be the most understanding.

"What the fuck Andy?!" I guess not... "You're the fucking lead singer! You can't just bail on us! We all agreed this was what we wanted."

"I don't care. There are plenty of singers out there, find one. I'm not going." I replied sternly.

"She doesn't like you Andy..." We both knew who he was referring to.

"It doesn't mater. She needs me here."

There was a pervading silence that made me think aboutr how important this decision was. If I stayed here, Black Veil Brides would lose their spot on the tour and they may never get the chance to make it big; to change the world. But, I would be closer to Jess, even if that meant staying 'just friends'.

Although, if I actually did decide to leave for tour, I would be leaving my family.

I would be leaving Jess.

Just before her 8th birthday, Jess' father passed away. For years he was plagued with a terminal brain cancer; and from the time Jess turned 6 until he passed away, he was practically quarantined in the hospital.

She had no father figure in her life. No one to teach her how to defend herself against bullies, how to hit a baseball, how to protect her heart against assholes.

How to stay away from people like Jack.

And with no siblings and a mother too heavily dependent on ani-depressents, at the time, she needed someone to be there for her. To be there for her when she couldn't be.

That person was me.

So I couldn't leave her. I couldn't abandon her like so many others had. She trusted me and there was no way in hell I could ever attempt to betray that trust.

I loved her too much.

"I'm not leaving her." I hung up and threw the phone on the couch.

Jess's POV

"Hey babe," I greeted Jack as he pulled my hips toward his. He shoved me inside the house as he pushed the door closed. Our lips crashed into each other's, his fully clothed hips grinding against mine.He moaned as my hand found its way down his pants.

He was hard as a fucking rock.

Soon enough he was ripping my shirt off, ignoring the fact that it was pulled together by buttons, allowing them to fly across the room. He grabbed my wrist, pulling me to the stairs.

"What no 'Happy anniver--" I began when I heard my phone playing the Misfits.

It was Andy.

"Just hold on a second," I lossened his grip on my wrist and ran to the door where my phone lay on the ground. Jack whined and grumbled a bit, but stay where I left him. "Horny fucker." I laughed, picking up the phone.

I switched it on but stayed quiet. I wanted to see what he would say.

"Uh. Uhm. Jess?" He waited a moment and continued. "Well I uh I can hear you breathing over the line so I gues you're uh you're there. Anyways uhm I guess I'll just talk then. I uhm..." He stuttered. There was a long pause after that. He coughed a few times, trying to put together an intelligible sentence and began again. In my mind I was aware that not half an hour ago we were fighting, but he really was my best friend. It's hardly possible to keep a grudge against someone who has been there for you when no one else was.

But I wasn't about to let him know that. I was upset about the fight, and I wanted him to know that Jack was not a topic were going to be discussing any time soon.

I mumbled a bit, just to let him know I was still listening as he continued.

"Well I..." He stopped once again. Fucking hell. He was never good at speaking when it came to high pressure situations.

"Andy, I have things to do!" I complained, glancing at Jack who was now resting on one of the steps. This scared him and he quickly made up his mind.

"Black Veil Brides is going on tour!" He blurted out in a single breath.

My breathing stopped. My mind stopped. My heart stopped.

No.

He can't leave.

He was my backbone. My spine. Without him, I'm nothing.

"I--" Jack stood up, reaching for his shirt. A single tear fell down my cheek as I lied through my teeth. "That's awesome! I'm so happy for you!" My entire body shook and I felt as if he were already gone. "But hey I have to go, maybe I'll go see one of your shows! Okay, see you bye!" I finished before he could say a word.

Oh my Lord this has to be one of the best, well written out fan fictions on this site. I mean it! A lot of stories will have so many grammar errors I get a bit irritated. Truly this is great. I'm an author myself, well up and coming, and I do make little mistakes here and there but I mean on some stories I see A LOT. I really, really, like this so far and I've only read chapter one. If you keep writing like you did in this first chapter you'll have no problem catching attentions. I love it, keep up the awesome work!
