Chapter Ten: Therapy

A/N I realize that CC wasn't in the band when they first started, but I'm going with the current line up. I dunno, I like it better haha
Jess’s POV
“So this is where you’ll be sleeping.” Andy pushed open the curtain to a little bunk directly under his. Turns out he had asked the guys all about this last night and they had it all planned out. They even called my mom and got a bunch of my stuff before I even showed up at his house.
He knew you would say yes.
I smiled and thanked him, hopping into the bunk. “Wait…don’t you want to come and meet the guys?” We had actually never met considering they practiced somewhere else, and left me and Andy alone when we were together.
“Sorry, I just have some stuff to do. A little later?” He nodded and made his way over to the lounge area. I pulled out my Ipod, put in the earphones, and pressed play. I was too tired to care about what song came on, or how many emails and replies I had flashing on my screen. I just needed to sleep.
“My ship went down
In a sea of sound
When I woke up alone
I had everything
A hand full of moments
I wished I could change
and a tongue like a nightmare
That cut like a blade”
Andy’s POV
“So… where is she?” Jinxx asked as I walked back into the room. They had heard all about Jess. I wasn’t very good at keeping a secret I suppose.
“She’s busy. She’ll come out later, I guess.” I slumped onto the tiny couch pulling out my phone. They starting talking about the show tonight, but I couldn’t focus. I scrolled though my texts from a few days ago and I couldn’t help but smile.
Jess: andy hizzles what’s happenin?!
Andy: I’m working on some new songs (:
Jess: Ooo bad break up? Do you dig someone? Or did your mommy take your beanie baby away? ;)
I blushed, remembering what was going through my head when I had first read that text. I thought for sure she knew. ‘Who told her?! Is it that obvious?’ The guys knew all about my thing for her, and surely she knew by now, but they would never tell her. I’ve made it clear. The feelings weren’t mutual, and if that meant I had to choose friendship over a possible relationship, they would have to respect that.
I tucked my phone away once more and looked up, leaving my dream world for another day; they were all staring at me. I fucking hated when they did that. Not staring so much, but it was as if they were trying to read my thoughts. “Stop acting so concerned.” I told them, bitterness coated my voice.
“Listen, I don’t know this girl, but you like her. And you need to do something about it already because your hourly daydream sessions are really getting in the way of stuff.” CC. Always the idealist.
“I can’t just tell her, man! She has a boyfriend,” Had. “And besides, she doesn’t feel the same way…” My voice cracked at the end, leaving things feeling major awkward. That always happened when I talked about her. My “manly” composure—deep voice, confident appearance, the way I acted to make it seem like I didn’t care—just disappeared. I was a little 14 year old again. I cared way too much, and I gave it away way too easily. I just turned into an awkward mess.
I sighed, standing up, and headed for the door. “Listen, just don’t say anything to her, okay?” The door heading to the bunks swung open, hitting me straight across the face. “Ugh fuck!” I shriveled up onto the floor like I had just been shot; a soft hand reached out, poking me right where I had been hit. I cringed but stopped when I heard her voice.
“I am so sorry Andy!” Jess was crouched down next to me. She pushed my hair out of the way to inspect the “wound”. Really I was shocked more than anything. But this felt too good to stop her. “Do you guys have a first aid kit?” She asked the guys, not taking her eyes off the blood on her fingers. They did nothing but laugh.
“Jess,” Her attention diverted to me again. “I’m fine…really.” I smiled, gesturing for her to stand up. She looked at me wearily, but gave in. She helped me up, taking my hand, and I lead her to the guys. I pointed each one out, despite the giggles that still evaded the room, and introduced her. “Uhm. This is Jess.” Our hands remained intertwined as CC stood up.
“Nice to finally meet you, Jess.” He grinned, staring directly at me. “I’ve heard a lot.”

Oh my Lord this has to be one of the best, well written out fan fictions on this site. I mean it! A lot of stories will have so many grammar errors I get a bit irritated. Truly this is great. I'm an author myself, well up and coming, and I do make little mistakes here and there but I mean on some stories I see A LOT. I really, really, like this so far and I've only read chapter one. If you keep writing like you did in this first chapter you'll have no problem catching attentions. I love it, keep up the awesome work!
