Just Lose It
"Catherine! What the hell?!" I hear Andy scream next to me trying to pull me away from the guy I had just landed a punch on.
The guy was holding his face, I could see drips of blood fall from gaps between his fingers. It was the man who had wanted to throw us back into the desert.
I wanted to get away from Andy's grasp but he was too strong. "That bitch could've killed her!" I scream finally throwing Andy's grip off of me and standing back watching the blood still drip from the guys nose and lip.
"They don't deserve to be here!" The guy screamed.
"Shut up! You don't have the right to say anything right now." Andy said, the guy backed into the chair, obviously afraid of what Andy could do.
"Who is he?! And why did he try to kill Esther?!" I demanded answers.
"This is Erick, he thinks that you two...well I don't really know why he tried to kill her. The only thing I've gotten out of him was that he thinks you don't belong here." Andy said.
"He has to have a reason!" I screamed charging at the guy again but Andy's arms stopped me.
"I wanted you to have a reason to leave! I wasn't trying to kill her! I just wanted them to think that this place wasn't safe!" Erick yelled.
"Fuck you!" I spit in his face before storming out of the auditorium Andy trailing behind me.
"Listen," he grabbed my shoulders once I had gotten out of the door. "He causes a lot of problems around here. I promise you he's the only one who thinks like this. This is a safe place, we've never had a problem like this before." He wanted us to stay.
I could only think about how Esther looked at the doctors. "If Esther wants to leave then..." I trailed off.
"I'll talk to her?" He asked for permission.
I nodded my head, tears forming in my eyes again. I tried to wipe them away before Andy could see. He just smiled then went to talk to someone. When guy nodded he went inside the auditorium and Andy went off in the direction of the doctor.
I turned back to go to the house. I saw Ashley and Jake standing in front of the door of the house. I pushed passed them and went inside. Ignoring their presence I went into the kitchen to get a glass of water.
"Vicious little thing aren't ya. Remind me to never get you pissed." Ashley smirked.
They were both starring at me. Jake glanced down to my hand. I pulled it up to eye level to see that there was blood on my knuckles. I rinsed it in the sink and it came off with ease. I turned back to them with my hand at my side.
"What?!" I finally asked.
"Violence never gets you anywhere." Ashley said in a tone to try and sound like a parent.
"Shut up!" Jake said, "look, I know that it probably felt really good at the time but..."
"But nothing! He stabbed Esther! And that's that." I cut him off.
"Fine, Jinxx said that Esther can come here but she can't do anything. Just lots of sleeping. He'll show you how to clean and change her wound." Jake said walking out.
I smiled at the thought of getting Esther back. "So that means I can't do any dancing. I have to take care of Esther." I smiled at Ashley.
"Oh she'll heal soon," he smirked.
He walked out eventually too leaving me alone with my thoughts again. I sat on the bare floor. I starred at the door waiting for Esther to come threw. I imagined a crowd of people rushing threw doing the same thing to me as they did to Esther. I really hoped that Andy was right about Erick being the only one who wanted us gone...
