it's just like my arch-rival says: change your tumblr name back to what it was when you were using the site successfully. i'm so sorry you're having this trouble! i use fb, so i know i can never change my fb name or i will lose access to the site. a friend of mine had this happen before, and she got her account back after changing her name back. good luck!

Also, I use tumblr to log in as well, and it's not currently working for me to log in from my cellphone. I have a post I started in the forums about it, but nothing has changed. However, it sounds to me like the problem you're having is having changed the name of your tumblr account. The same problem will happen if you use facebook to log in and then change your facebook name, for example. You just have to change it back, and not try to use the site on a cell phone. :3

It's because you changed the main name on your tumblr account. If you change it back to what it was, you'll be able to access your account again. You can always make your new blog a side-blog, it's easy to have multiple blogs. I have a tumblr as well, HERE.
