I wake up to Jinxx’s arms wrapped tightly around me. I guess he noticed that I’d been crying. I kiss his head and slowly wiggle my way out of the bunk trying not to wake him. I head for the bathroom to get ready for the day ahead. Another show is going to be happening later this evening and I’m psyched. Everyone loved us last night and I hope that happens again tonight, but I have a feeling tonight’s not gonna go too well.

I’m up by myself for about an hour until everyone except Ashley gets up.

“Ash got a hangover?” I ask no one in particular

“Probably, he got hammered last night” Andy answers

“Figures” I reply

I didn’t go to the first show after party last night because I was too upset about what my granddad said. Jinxx came onto the bus to check on me but I told him to go have fun. He was hesitant, but left.

“Hey Jinxx, can I talk to you for a sec?” I ask and he nods. I lead him to the back room

“So what’s up?” He asks once we sit down

“I was just wondering what you guys ended up doing with my granddad”

“We called the cops and he went to jail for violating a restraining order”

“Did he say anything else about the letters?”

“He did and we got permission from the police to check out his house next time we’re in Cincinnati” We had already left for the next tour date, so we’re no longer in Cincy

“Or we could go back. We’re not too far from there and we have time” He says

“Really?!”

“If you want. I can go talk to Jon now”

“Please do”

With that he walks back to the front to talk to Jon and is back within minutes

“What’d he say?” I ask

“We’re gonna turn around next exit”

We sit and talk for a couple hours until we’re back in Cincinnati. We get there at about 10:30 am. Ash is still asleep, by the way.

When we stop, I jump up and run to the front of the bus followed by Jinxx

“Anyone wanna come with us?” Jinxx asks and we end up with everyone going but Andy, Ash, Anna, and Elliot. Andy said he was gonna see his mom and dad. Oh, and I think Anna has a thing for Ash, by the way

We all walk over to where I used to live. Once we get there Jinxx unlocks the door with my old key. We all walk inside and start looking for the box with all the letters.

After a few minutes, Dylen finds it in my granddad’s office room under a whole bunch of other stuff.

“Hey, I think I found it!” He yells and I rush over to where he is. He takes it over to the coffee table and I follow.

“I’m gonna go see if he did anything with my stuff, first” I say, worried about what the letters might hold. Jinxx gives me an understanding smile and I head upstairs.

I open my door to find everything the same as when I left. I sit down on my bed and thoughts of what might be in the letters run through my mind. After a few minutes I head back downstairs

“Ready?” Jinxx asks and I nod

He hands me the first letter and I take a deep breath and open it

“Dear Valerey,

We hope you’re doing okay, we know how challenging Granddad can be, but your grandmother should be keeping him in order. We found this keychain in a local shop that we thought you might like. We love you with all our heart and we hope to hear back from you this time. We hope you’re not mad at us, we’re working hard so we can be a family again,”

It reads

I feel tears coming to my eyes

“What does it say?” Everyone asks in unison and I hand it to them so they can read it

Jinxx comes over and hugs me “See, I told you they loved you” he whispers to me

“We should head back, let’s take the letters with us” Jake says

CC grabs the box and we head back to the bus. When we get there, Andy is already back, so we start for the next tour stop. We get to the venue just in time to get ready for the show

I put on my outfit, make-up, and do my hair as the others get ready.

After a half hour we head into the venue and wait for our stage times

“Angel’s Demise on in 5”

We head out to side stage and wait for the countdown.

“5-4-3-2-1”

“Hey everyone, how are you doing tonight?!” I yell into the mic and get some cheers but even more boos

I take a deep breath and start the first song

After our half hour set, we exit the stage with me and Anna crying.

Jinxx pulls me into a hug while Anna hugs Ash. I knew she had a thing for him.

“Hey, it’s okay, I’m sure Andy will say something to the crowd”

“Black Veil Brides in 5-4-3-2-1”

“I’ll make sure Andy says something” Jinxx says and then runs on stage

“How are we all doing tonight?!” Andy yells into the mic and gets an eruption of cheers

“Now how hard was that?” He asks and gets a few cheers while the rest stand there confused

“I’ll take that as it wasn’t too hard” He says

“My point is, there was no reason in this world to boo my best friends’ band. It’s mean and I expect waaay better from the BVB Army. Never boo a band, they’ve worked way too hard to be there and they don’t need anything negative about living their dreams. Now onto the music”

They start off their first song and the others of AD come and hug me

“We love your friends” Elliot says

“Hold up, they’re your friends too” Dylen says

“Really?” Aaron says “Me and El haven’t really had any real friends”

“We’re your friends too” Anna says

“Really?” Aaron asks again

“Duh” Dylen says

“Aw, I love you guys” Aaron and Elliot say together

We stand side stage and talk until BVB is finished with their set

I run up to Andy and hug him as soon as he’s off stage “I love you so much for doing that Andy!” I say

“Eh, Jinxx told me to do it, not that I wouldn’t have if he hadn’t told me to” He says

We all head back to the bus and change into our pjs and talk for a few hours until we head to bed.
