I feel myself being shaken awake by someone. When I open my eyes, Dylen is standing over me with a huge smile on his face.

“Wake up it’s our first day performing and we’re here at the venue and we can practice for a while and you need to get up and get dressed so we can go!!” He says, all in one breath

“Okay, okay, I’ll get up.” With that he runs to Elliot’s, Anna’s, and Aaron’s bunks to do the same.

Once we’re all up and dressed, we head into the venue to rehearse. Once we get inside we see our instruments and my mic already set up and ready to go. I look down at my phone to check the time. 4 pm. Damn, I can’t believe I slept that long. We practice for about an hour before the others come in to tell us we’re heading out for dinner. We have dinner and head back to our bus to get ready. Me, Anna, Elliot, and the guys of BVB all put on our make-up. We all get dressed in outfits for stage.

We wait backstage in the dressing room until it’s our turn to go up.

“Angel’s Demise on in 5” A man says as he enters then exits the room

Dylen, Elliot, Aaron, Anna, and I all walk to side stage anxiously waiting for it to be our time to go on stage. Jinxx is standing right beside me holding my hand.

“You ready?” He asks

“As I’ll ever be” I say with a small but scared smile.

“5 – 4 – 3 – 2 – 1” A guys says and we enter on 1. First Anna, then Aaron, then Elliot, then Dylen, then me.

“How are you all doing tonight?!” I yell into the mic and I get an eruption of cheers from the crowd

“Alright, we are Angel’s Demise and this is ‘Only You’” I say as the others start off first with their instruments and I start to sing

“Tell me words to make me whole

...Again

Fill me with your void promises

And syllable stutters

Every part of me is hollow” I begin


JINXX’S POV


“She really is amazing” I say

“Oh, right, this is your first time actually hearing her songs” Andy replies

“Yea and it was really hard not to listen to them. Still can’t believe her and Dylen decided to make me wait until tour to hear her.”

“I bet.” He replies

“Do you ever get worried about how close Val and Dylen are?” Andy asks after a few seconds of silence

“Sometimes, but I know she loves me and that he still isn't over Belle”

“So you don’t see anything happening between them”

“Of course not, what brought this up in the first place? Did something happen with you and Juliet?” I asked, concerned

“No, she just has this new friend who she’s really close to and I guess I’m jealous.”

“There’s nothing to be jealous of. She loves you and only you”

“Yea, I guess”

We talk about some different stuff until their set is finished a half hour later.

VALEREY’S POV


“Soooo, how’d I do” I ask Jinxx as soon as I get off stage

“Amazing” he replies “Definitely worth the wait”

I giggle “Sorry about that”

“Well looks like they’re done switching instruments, we’ll be on in a second, so how about you go get rid of all the sweat” He smiles at me and I wipe some sweat from my forehead and smear it on his face

I laugh “There, got rid of it”

He rolls his eyes at me and the guy begins to count down from 5 again.

The guys all run out on stage when the guy says 1 and the crowd erupts from cheers even louder than before.

After a little while of watching their show I head back out to the bus alone since everyone besides BVB had already headed out. Just as I exit the building, a strong arm with a grip I know all too well grabs me and pulls me into the alley beside the venue. I let out a scream hoping someone might hear me.

“Shut it!” He yells and moves his hand over my mouth.

I try to kick him where it hurts but kept failing as he’d twist my body in such a way that it hurt to move my leg behind me. We wrestled with each other for a few minutes before he had me pinned to the ground.

“Look here you little brat, you had me put in jail for killing a disgusting, worthless girl. The world should have thanked me for one less emo moron in the world.” He yells

“She wasn’t worthless! She was worth more than you’ll ever be!” I scream in his face and he slaps me and moves his hand around my neck, choking me

Just as he’s about to punch me an arm wraps around his neck and pulls him back off of me as I gasp for air. I look up to see Jinxx, Dylen, Elliot, Andy, and CC all crowded around my grandfather. My granddad begins to throw punches before Andy has him pinned to the ground.

“Damn it! I should’ve given you back to your despicable parents when I had the chance! Then I wouldn’t have to deal with these emo freaks!” He yells obviously out of defeat

“Given me back?” I ask and he gives me an evil smirk

“Yea, given you back. A few years ago your parents were finally financially stable enough to support a kid. They begged for me to give you back to them and I declined, pissing them off.”

“Wait, financially stable? Is that why they left; because they couldn’t afford to have a kid?”

“Duh! You’re such a moron, you even cut yourself. Anyway, now it’s too late because they died in a car wreck”

“At that last sentence I felt tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat. They’re really dead?

“If that was the reason they left than why did they never call me or send me letters?”

“They did, I just didn't want you to have any joy in your life”

At that I walk over to where he’s lying and kick him in the face, breaking his nose.

“How do you like it?!” I yell now in tears from rage I continue to beat on him until he’s so bloody you can barely tell he’s even alive.

When I’m finally finished I walk back to the bus like nothing happened. I walked into the bathroom and locked the door. I then sat down in front of the door bringing my knees up to my chest and start to cry again. How could he do this to me? Why didn’t my parents take things to court? Now I can never see them again because they’re dead. I get that familiar erge of wanting to slide a blade across my skin, but I don't give in to it. I walk back to me a Jinxx's bunk after a while and continue to cry until I fall asleep
