I wake up to a text from Dylen.

--Hey y havent i heard from u in a while--

"Hey, Val, do you mind me telling Dylen what happened?" I ask Valerey

"No, go ahead"

--Valerey was in the hospital-- I send back

--Holy hell, why?--

--She cut into her arms pretty deep and lost a lot of blood--

--Awh, poor thing, tell her I can fly to LA, I've been wanting to talk about the band, too--

"He says to tell you he's flying to LA" I say

"Okay, that'll probably be good"

--She said alright--

--Yay! I'll get the others to come with me--

--Okay--

--Alrighty byyyeee--

He is such a girl...

"Hey he said he was gonna bring Aaron, Elliot, and Annabelle" I tell her "Oh and someone should teach Dylen how to be a guy." I say and she laughs

"Yea, he acts like a preteen girl sometimes, doesn't he?'" She says "So, what do you think about us starting a band?"

"I think it'd be great, you have an amazing voice after all" I say and she looks down and smiles

"You really think so?" She asks

"Definitely"

"Hey wanna go to the movies?" I ask

"Sure"

"Alright let's go"

We head outside to my car and get in. As we drive to the movie theatre we sit in a comfortable silence.

"What movie do you wanna watch?" I ask when we get there

"How about that new Muppets movie?" She asks

"Sure, why not" I say "Maybe when we get back the others will have landed"

"That'd be great"

We tell the ticket lady what we want to see, get our drinks and popcorn, and sit down in the theatre.

About two hours later we walk out and I have a text from Dylen on my phone.

--Hey weve landed come get us--

--You there-- A text reads sent a few minutes after the first.

--Yea, we were in the movies, sorry-- I send back

--Great come get us then--

--Alright--

"Hey we gotta go pick them up." I say

"Well then let's go" She replies

We drive to the airport and pick up Dylen, Elliot, Aaron, and Annabelle then head back to mine and Valerey's place.

"Hey, Val, before we talk about band stuff I have something I think you should know about" Dylen says when we get to my place "Your granddad's out of jail"

Valerey's eyes widen at that last part.

"You-you're joking, right?" She says and he shakes his head "He fucking killed someone how can he be out of jail already?!"

"Valerey, calm down, he can't get to you."

"He'll find me, I know he will"

"No he won't. He's gonna look for you in Ohio where you're not at anymore. How is he supposed to know you're in LA. You really are safe here, Valerey."

"How is he out of jail, though. It's only been a year and he fucking killed somebody?!" She says

"Hey, you guys mind if me and Val go to our room so we can talk?" I ask the other four

"No, not at all" Elliot says and I smile at them and then walk Valerey back to our room

"Valerey, look at me, he can't get to you, he doesn't know where you are and even if he did I'd protect you" I say after we sit on the bed.

"No" She says quickly after I finish "No... you can't"

"Why not?"

"You know what happened to Belle. He'll do the same to you"

"he won't have the chance"

"What do you mean?"

"I may seem like the type of guy who wouldn't hurt a fly, but if need be a can do a damn good job hurting someone"

"I just- I don't want you getting hurt because of me"

"I won't" I say in a reassuring voice "Let's just go back out to the living room. There's no reason to be discussing this now"

"Okay" She replies and we head back out to where the others were waiting

"Alright, sorry it took so long guys" I say

"No prob" Dylen replies "So, Val, about the band thing, have you decided yet?"

"Yea" Valerey answers

"Aaaand" Elliot says

"Let's do it" Valerey replies happily

"Well then I guess let's talk placement" Dylen says

"I can play drums, acoustic, bass, and electric" Elliot says

"I can only play drums..." Annabelle chimes in quietly

"Well I guess you're drums" Dylen replies

"I'm vocalist because I called it" Val chuckles

"Okay, Aaron?" Dylen asks

"Bass" Aaron answers

"Then me and Elliot are the guitarists" Dylen says "So that's Aaron on bass, Val on vocals, Anna on drums, and me and El on guitars"

"Yep" The other four say in unison

We all sit and talk about different things; band related stuff, how Dylen met the other three, and such; for a few hours when soon enough it's 2 am.

"I guess we should get to our hotel now" Dylen says "See you guys tomorrow?"

"We'll be here" I reply

"See ya" Aaron says as he walks out the door

"Can we go to bed, I'm tiiiired" Val says as soon as they leave

I chuckle "Yea probably"

And with that we head to bed a fall asleep

I'm gonna start using lyrics from other bands as titles just so you know
