"Well, you're all set" The doctor says after a lengthy evaluation

"Thank you" I say as she leaves

"You need help getting your things together?" I ask

"No, I-I'm fine" She stutters

"You sure? You don't sound fine" I say as I reach out to grab her shoulder

"I'm okay, really" She says as she avoids my touch.

I pull back and look at her confused. What did I do? We were just fine yesterday; what happened?

"Va-" I stop because I can see the look on her face, she doesn't want me around right now.
"I-I guess I'll leave you to it then" I say looking down as I exit the room. What did I do to her? I just-I don't understand.

I walk to the cafeteria area and two protein bars from the vending machine and walk back to the room. I lean on the wall opposite the door for a couple minutes before I go in. Valerey is sitting on the end of the bed with her things. She glances over at me but quickly looks away.

"You all set?" I ask and she stands up and nods

Just as we're about to open the door someone knocks. When I open it Ella and Jake appear. Ella hugs Val and is talking quietly to her, but I don't see that Val is responding.

"Hey, Jinxx, ya hear me?" Jake asks

"Huh, uh, yea so what were you saying?" I answer

"I was asking how Val has been doing, but you were spaced out. You okay, man?"

"Yea I'm fine and Val's been, uh, doing okay, too."

"Jinxx, seriously, what's wrong?"

I lead him out of the room

"Valerey's avoiding me for some reason" I say quietly and look back into the room "She's not even interacting with Ella"

"Now that you mention it, Val wasn't being real cheery when El got here and those two are pretty much inseparable"

"I know, but I have no idea what happened"

"Well then, let's get back to LA" Ella say cheerfully

We get into Jake's car and head back to my place. We get there about 4 hours later and Valerey didn't say anything the entire trip, not even to Ella. I wish she'd just tell me what's going on...

When we open the door CC and Andy are on the couch.

"How the hell'd you get in here?!" I ask

"We just have our ways" CC says with a huge smile and a wink. I roll my eyes at him.

We talk for a couple hours, well, the guys, Ella and I do.

Val stands up "I-I'm gonna go to bed now" She says as she walks down the hallway.

I look over at Jake, my eyes asking him what I should do. He slightly nods towards the hall telling me to go after her. I stand up and, before entering mine and Val's room, I take a deep breath. I open the door and find her laying on her side in the bed. I thought she was asleep until I heard quiet sobs coming from her direction. I sit down on the opposite side of the as her, hold my head in my hand and sigh.

"Valerey" I say quietly, and I don't get a response

"Just tell me what's wrong and I'll fix it" Still no response

I sigh again and lay down on the bed facing her back and wrap my arms around her. She doesn't object to it, but she also doesn't seem to be excepting it.

"Valerey, please tell me, if I did something to you that made you upset or hurt you somehow I swear I didn't mean to. Just say something, anything, even if it's you telling me to go away. I haven't heard your voice at all today besides what little you said early this morning, and I can't stand it, please just say something" I say as tears start to well up in my eyes.

Valerey turns towards me and looks at me. I smile gently still trying to stop the tears from falling. She buries her head into my chest and I rub her back softly.

"I'm sorry" she says

"About what?" I ask slightly confused

"About you meeting me"

"Why would you apologise for that?"

"Because, if you guys hadn't met me after that concert you guys wouldn't have to worry about me" She says quietly, looking back up at me

"I'm glad I met you after that concert, so are the guys and Ella. I'm glad that you're with me. Everything I do anymore I do for you."

She looks away from me for a moment.

"I love you so much" She says looking back at me.

"I love you, too" I smile "Now how 'bout we get some sleep, it's been a long day"
