The Girl With The Dragon's Blood

Finally after what seemed like forever my mom came to pick me up. The release papers were sorted through and now it was just Christ the boys and myself sitting in the room waiting to leave. My mom opened the door and smiled at me before Christi ran up an hugged her. She clutched Christi tight and then looked over her head and saw Ash. Mom automatically stiffened and gave him a cold glare. Ash gulped an looked around nervously while I heard Cc and Jake talking about how well the women in my family can give the evil eye. I smirked and then shoved Ash forward. He swallowed and approached my mom. Christi ran over and sat in Cc's lap. I was going to have to talk to them about that. I turned my attention back to Ashley and my mother. "Mrs. Hime, I'm really sorry for what i did." He said quietly and I kicked him in his calf. He repeated himself with a little more volume. "And I'm sorry for getting your daughter hurt to." He added. My mother arched an eyebrow and then looked around him at me. I nodded and she sighed. "Well at least your being honest about it. Oh and trust me Mr. Purdy. You didn't do anything to my daughter that would be her hero complex. Trust me if she thought that you deserved how much you'd got then you would be laying 6 feet under dear." My mother said before patting Ashley on the soldier and then moving to hug me. I smirked at him and shrugged before giving my mom a hug. We got my stuff into her car and decided the boys could follow us to the house because they wanted to make sure we got back safely. We got back to the house and I let Andy carry my bag up to my room. We got up there and I opened the door for him. He stepped in an his eyes widened comically as he cussed loudly. I started laughing hard and everyone came running up the stairs to see what was happening only to find Andy standing in the doorway to my room with his mouth hanging open and me on the floor laughing. Andy finally moved out of the way and all of the boys looked into my room and gasped "Christ Tora. Your rooms bigger than mine and Sammi's flat!" Jinxx said. I laughed. I had a very large room. My bed was in the center of the far wall under my bay window. On the other wall was a lounge area with bean-bag chairs and video gaming systems hooked up to a large flat screen tv. Beside my bed was my office area where I kept my writing and computer and cds. But the thing everyone was focused on was the raised platform on one side of the room. It had all of my instruments on it. I had a variety of guitars and a state of the art drum set a few mic stands and on the wall hung the pride of my life. My violin. The boys were all looking at me begging to play with the equipment and I laughed and waved at them to go ahead. They all started playing varying things on their respective instruments. Andy stood by looking at me and I laughed before walking over and plugging a few things in and flipping some switches. I handed him one of my mics and looked at them. "How bout an impromptu mini concert you guys?" I asked and they laughed and nodded. Cc sat behind the drums and pulled out a set of worn drumsticks while Ashley Jake and Jinxx all picked up different guitars and started tuning them to their taste before plugging them into the amps. And they really did give me an impromptu concert they sang a couple songs from The Wretched and Divine and when they were done I showed them where to put all if the gear and how I liked it organized. I asked them if they wanted to see something exciting and they all nodded. I took them all back downstairs and then out through the backdoor. I walked over to a large building and unlocked and opened the door before switching on the lights. The boys went to walk in but I stopped them all. "Sorry boys. No shoes in my dojo. Leave em at the entrance please." I said and they all nodded and did so before walking into the traditional Japanese style dojo. I smirked and walked over to one of the areas that was screened off by rice paper sliding screens. I slid it open and allowed the boys to ogle at my array of weapons. I had two battle axes six katana one claymore four bows and a large bin full of arrows along with two crossbows and another bin full of bolts I had many different swords from different cultures. The boys insisted on playing with the weapons and I allowed them Andy and Ashley were dueling eachother with the katana Cc was shooting on of the longbows while Jinxx was using one of the crossbows like a pro. He hit the target it the middle every time and I was impressed. Jake came up to me and asked how to get the claymore down and I smirked before asking if that was really what he wanted to try and wield that and he jut looked at me questioningly before nodding. I shrugged and then got a ladder. I climbed up and grabbed the broadsword with one hand and climbed back down. I had the sword by its hilt with my good arm and held it up for Jake to take. He tried to grab it with one hand like I had it but as soon as I let go it dragged him to the ground. I laughed as he gasped. "How much does this fucking sword weigh?" He asked incredulously and I laughed before explaining that it was around seventeen pounds and was a meant to be a two handed broadsword for knights in Ireland. Only the most skilled of warriors could wield the weapon one handed and it took most people years of extensive training for most people to be able to carry it at all. I picked it up by the hilt and carried it over to the corner where I propped it up. Christi walked into the dojo and I looked at her as she bowed to me. I bowed back and she looked me in the eye before nodding her head. "Are you sure that you want to do this now with all of them here? I will not hold you to tradition today because of our guests so you don't have to do this." I said but he just looked at me and nodded. I conceded and shrugged out of my jacket. "Alright boys I'm going to need you to put your weapons up and move off of the floor. Try and stay up against the walls. I would hate to accidentally stab one of you." I said. I adjusted my arm imobilizer to a more comfortable position. Jinxx came up to me. "Please tell me your not actually about to fight. Your already hurt." He said quietly. I smiled up at him. "Sorry father Jinxx but its house rules. Every time a student enters the dojo and their teacher is there they must present a challenge. This goes on until the student finally surpasses the teacher. Just be happy my mom isn't out here that stuff gets dangerous. And Christi has been my student for four years. I told her she didn't have to but she understands that tradition should not be broken for a friend which is what I was doing for her." I told him patting him on the shoulder. The boys all stood up against a wall watching in interest. I walked over to the weapons wall and strapped a katana to my hip and a set of throwing daggers to my thigh. Christi walked in with the claymore strapped to her back and a set of shuriken on her hip. We took ready positions in the center of the floor. My face hardened into a cold mask as did hers. "Remember in this dojo I am not your friend and I am not your sister. I am the enemy. I will not show mercy and not should you. I am your enemy and you are mine. This is a battle use every trick you have and do not hold back. First to draw blood wins. Is that understood?" I said. She nodded and Cc tried to step foreword but Jinxx put a hand on his chest to hold him back and they got into a heated discussion. I turned away from them and back to Christi. She bowed to me and I bowed back before nodding. All of a sudden she was a blur of black streaking towards me. We started hand to hand combat I blocked most of her hits. I saw an opening and kicked her in the chest sending her flying. "Come on you can do better than this. That was weak. I told you not to hold back. Now get up and face me." I yelled at her coldly. She got to her feet and charged me again while throwing some if her shuriken at me. I managed to dodge them and she flipped over my head and kicked me in the back sending me flying foreword. "Yes good now were getting somewhere. Keep it up. " I yelled at her as I got up smiling. I charged her this time and she tried to punch me. I dodged all of her hits but one to the face. Before she could pull back her guard I headbutted her and grabbed her remaining shuriken from her hip before throwing them to the side. They flew into one of the walls and I heard a silent gasp. I didn't have time to investigate the source of the sound before Christi came at me wielding the claymore one handed. I pulls out my katana and flipped over her head. She went to turn around but not fast enough. I slashed her back open and she fell to the mat breathing heavily. I sheathed my sword and got down in front of her. I grabbed her by her chin and looked her in the eye. After a moment if intense staring we both broke into smiles. "I drew first blood. Sorry doll maybe next time." I said. We started laughing and then I looked over at the boys who were either looking at Christi and in shock or laughing on the ground. Before I could wonder what. They were laughing about I saw Ashley standing pale and frozen against the wall one of the shuriken was lodged into the wall by his ear and the other was only centimeters away from his crotch. I started laughing as I realized it was him that had made that noise earlier. I finally turned my attention back to Christi. "How's your back doll?" I asked as I helped her up. "It burns." She said clenching her teeth. I nodded and took her into a room of to the side closing the doors before the boys could come in. I had her take off her shirt and sit down. She leaned foreword and I looked at the would. "We'll you don't need stitches today so that's good." I said and she nodded. I got out my first aid kit and started cleaning the cut. It ran from her right shoulder to her left hip. When I finished cleaning I put an herbal salve over it before putting gauze and bandages over it. It wasn't bad so it should heal in a few days without scaring. She put on a t-shirt over it and then we walked back into the dojo area. We grabbed our weapons and put them up and tidied the area. We flipped the lights and all went back to the house. Mom looked up and smiled at Christi and I. We both had bruising on our faces but were grinning and talking like idiots. My mom laughed when he saw most of the boys shell shocked faces and almost started crying when she saw Ashley's face. He was still pale and shaky. "What did you girls do to him?" She asked laughing wildly. "Your daughter almost neutered me." He finally spoke and at that everyone started laughing. I explained what happened and how it was an accident. After about another hour the tour manager called Andy and told him they needed to be leaving soon. So the boys all said goodbye. Jinxx pulled Christi and I into a hug and kissed both of our foreheads. I swear he is like a dad I thought. Andy hugged us and said that he would make sure to stop by next time they were in town. Jake and Cc took turns beat hugging us and finally Ashley hugged Christi and then came over to means leaned down while he was hugging me. "It's on for that little Hime." He whispered in my ear. "Bring it Purdy boy." I said back. He let me go and then stepped back. They all left and I watched them drive off smiling.
