Now Remembered. But For How Long?
Christmas Eve
*Time Jump to Christmas at Jake’s*
*Jake’s POV*
Everyone decided to have Xmas at my place so everyone stayed over. Ella, Sammi and Lauren were busy so they couldn’t make it. So it was just Juliet and Juni. They made dinner while we watched Hand Egg (American Football) for a bit before turning on my Xbox and playing Rock Band. Jinxx and I already beat Guitar Hero the day it came out. Yeah we were on break from touring when it came out. And Jinxx had pre ordered it so yeah. We played that entire day. So back to Rock Band. I played drums while CC took over on lead guitar. Jinxx took his place while Andy played the bass and Ashley sang.
“Jake how the fuck can you do this shit?!” CC cursed while playing a solo that led into a dual solo. He fumbled with the guitar while trying to play.
“Well Christian, I’ve been playing since I was 13. And well it’s just that I practice a lot. I just happen to know drums and bass so this is cake.”
“fuck off Jacob.”
“hey brubber and brother no swearing on christmas. It’s not nice. Got it?” Juni yelled from the kitchen.
“yes sissy.”
“yes mother.” I laughed.
“fuck” juni mumbled.
“HYPOCRITE!” Ashley yelled.
“I burnt my hand dickhead. It was a reflex. If I hurt myself I usually swear. I love you” Juni yelled.
“Love you too.” Ashley yelled. Right after the game ended and Sammi called us in to the dining room. We all sat down next to our girlfriends who were already sitting. We got our food and started eating and talking about the past and future.
“Ashley do you remember the day you met me?” Juni asked smiling.
“Should we reenact it?” Ashley laughed.
“Nah, you can tell it.”
“Okay. So school had just got out and I waited at Andy’s car so we could head to practice. I saw Andy running with a girl in his arms. I was thinking what is Andy doing? I heard him scream Never and then I yelled out Andy when they got close to the car. Andy yelled Purdy and then we hugged. I introduced myself and said she looked hot. She smirked and rolled her eyes, then looked at her phone. She mumbled shit and started to lea-”
“alright Ashley that’s a good enough memory. No going on okay?” Juni looked Ashley in the eyes.
“Okay.”
“Why what happened?” I texted to Juni. Juni and I were very close but there were still things that she hadn’t told me because it was hard for her to talk about still.

Then CC started talking about the day he ran out of the bus naked screaming and how before he was blabbing about stuff before that happened.
“Does anyone remember when Jake fell out of his bed when the bus took that sharp turn?” Jinxx laughed out. I glared at him.
“Well duh, he fell out right after me but his fall was funnier.” Juni smirked.
“He jolted awake and yelled. It was pretty hilarious.” Andy laughed.
“I’ll admit it was kinda funny.” We all laughed.
“Wait I’ve got a great one. The day Ella came home. The plan and then truth or dare after Ella popped out of the bag.”
“Ohmygod. That was hilarious. I really thought you had killed CC.” Ashley said.
“ Truth or dare was pretty funny. Except for when we woke up. How the fuck did we end up like a human bridge?” Juni laughed out then went serious.
“We were all too drunk to remember. So it beats me.” Sammi said. About an hour later we finished dinner. Everyone went to the living room, while Juni and I went to my recording area in another room.
“I’m not mad. Just concerned.”
“well I had a really good day at school that day and I prayed that dad wasn’t home. He was and he was drunk. I tried to get away but he got me and he... he made me feel disgusted. I was raped again. I showered to see if I could wash the pain away. No dice. I ended up cutting my wrists, arms, and thighs. ” She looked down with her voice cracking.
“Junipie. You are one of the strongest people I know. You knew self defense, why didn’t you use it against dad?”
“I did once and let’s just say I had to use crutches and had a concussion and I had bruises everywhere.”
“I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you Junipie. I promise you this though. No one will EVER hurt you again. You are a brave person for facing dad and cheating death and somehow finishing school.”
“Jake school was only easy because Sammi was there.”
“I’m really sorry that I wasn’t there when Dad started with you. I’m sorry that you had to turn to a razor instead of me when people hurt you. I cared about you so much Juni. If aunt Mary had let me call dad or nana I would’ve found you sooner. I didn’t stop asking. Without Jinxx I would be dead already. I had anxiety attacks at 14. It got to the point where I wouldn’t answer the phone or talk to anyone for days sometimes even weeks. Jinxx would have to stay over just to make sure I was okay. Juniper I am just sorry for not being a better brother I wish I knew better.”
“Jake, I really don’t know what to say because I have anxiety attacks. I got them a lot when I lived with CC. I would think and think more and think even more where it got to the point where I’d be screaming and shaking uncontrollably. If anything Jake I wish I wasn’t so paranoid about things. It makes things so much more difficult than it needs to be. ”
“Look all you need to know is that if you have an attack let CC, Sammi or me know. I want what’s best for you. You’re young, strong, and beautiful. If you don’t think that then we have a problem. If someone says you’re not then they can’t see what true beauty when it’s right in their face.” Juni blushed and tears streamed down her face. I smiled and hugged her and kissed her
head.
“should we head back up? Ella and Andy might get all worried.”
“haha yeah let’s go. Want a piggy back?”
“you know me so well.” Juni smiled and jumped on my back. We went to the living room and I put Juni down. Everyone fell asleep and waited for Christmas day to open their gifts.
