Now Remembered. But For How Long?
TacoBell and Trixy
*Jake’s POV*
“Hey, now don’t cry. Look we took off the first two weeks of Warped off so we could make sure you got better. Sammi is going on a four month tour in two months. So let’s make the best of this tour.”
“I love you Jake. I’m not just saying it either, I really mean it.” Juni looked me in the eye.
“YO QUIERO TACO BELL!!!” CC came running in with 10 TacoBell bags.
“What the fuck did you get?” Juni stared at CC.
“Taco Bell.” CC shrugged. He didn’t even notice Juni was awake.
“Have a taco. Wait. SISSY YOU’RE AWAKE!!!” CC dropped his food and shoved me off the bed and tackled Juni with a hug.
“Geez, CC calm down. Don’t crush her.”
“I’m not that stupid.”
“Really? You just dropped your food on the floor.” Ashley chimed in.
“Oh shit! MI TACOS!!!!”
“Only CC would cry about tacos in Spanish.” I looked at Ashley and laughed.
“Did you forget I was in the room? I speak Spanish too. CC did you ask for all of this in Spanish?” Juni took a bite of her taco.
“Of course! The lady looked at me and thought I had three heads for getting all this shit. Her face was priceless.” CC took out two tacos and handed them to me and Ashley. Just then Andy came into the room with Sammi.
“JUNICAKES!!!!!!”
“SAMMIKINZ!!!!” Sammi and Juni embraced each other. Sammi was rambling about how she missed Juni and how she’d going back on tour soon.
CC passed Andy a taco and had another one in his hand for Sammi. I looked in the TacoBell bags and each bag had at least 3 tacos and 2 large fries.
“CC do you plan to eat all of this?” I questioned CC’s thinking.
“Well, I got 10 TacoBell bags. We already finished 9 tacos. Now we have 7 bags. I figured people would want seconds and some fries. Whatever is left over is dinner and snacks.”
“How many tacos did you have CC?”
“Two. Juni had three. Everyone else got one.”
“Pig” I muttered
“Hey! I was out for a week you get pretty hungry after not eating for a whole week.” Juni defended herself.
“I was calling CC a pig not you.”
“Oh. Okay then.” Juni smiled and started eating her French fries. She saw Andy and immediately put her food down.
“LION!!!!!”
“WOLF TIGER YOU’RE OKAY!!!!” Andy jumped onto the bed and hugged Juni. She mumbled something to him and they literally stayed like that for 10 minutes. They, shit you not, did not move at all. Literally right after Juni let go of Andy, the doctor came in.
“Well this is quite a reunion. I see you’ve woken up Ms. Pitts. I’m sure you were told that if you didn’t wake up by tomorrow you would have been taken off life support.”
“Actually, I heard you talking when Ashley was in here. Even though you said I was in a coma, I could still hear. Same thing happened to me when I was in a coma last time.”
“Well, now that I know you are awake, you are free to leave tomorrow morning.”
“Why can’t I leave today?”
“Well we want to keep you overnight now that you’re awake. We want to make sure that you don’t slip into another coma when you fall asleep. If you pass our overnight exam then you can leave once you wake up.”
“Sounds fine to me. As long as I can leave soon I don’t care.”
“haha. Well enjoy the rest of today with your friends. Oh and Ms. Pitts.”
“Yeah, Doc?”
“Your friend, Ashley Purdy, correct, is lucky to have found you at the right time. If he came any later you might not have made it. He’s also very smart. He removed hi-” Juni cut him off.
“He took off his shirt and wrapped my arms. I know. He did that the first time I was rushed here.”
“Wait, you’re the same man who saved her the first time? Mr. Purdy you are a Saviour. Without you, she could have died this time for sure.”
“Honest to god, it’s nothing. I just made the right choice at the right time.”
“Well, I’m going to check on my other patients. Have a wonderful day.” The doctor left and Juni waved Ashley over to her bed. He sat on the bed and Juni hugged him.
*Ashley’s POV*
While Juni hugged me she muttered something into my chest.
“What?” I looked down on her while pulling slightly away so I could see her face.
“I said, I love you and without you I’d be dead.”
“I love you too beautiful. Honestly, if Jake didn’t need to make a call after the show he probably would’ve found you.”
“Yeah, well Mom thinks otherwise.”
“Why do you say that?”
“Mom told me that she got dad to call Jake after the show. This way you could find me. She told me this right after I blacked out in the parking lot.”
“I like your mom. She picks the right person to get the job done.”
“She always did come up with great ideas.” Right when she said that her eyes went from a hazel caramel tinted color to full chocolate eyes. They looked just like Jake’s eyes.
“Ju Ju your eyes just changed color.” I whispered into her ears so everyone didn’t come running to see.
“Really?”
“Yeah. They look like Jake’s. Jake come here and sit next to Juni.” Jake walked over. I looked at their eyes. They looked exactly the same.
“Don’t move. I’m taking a quick picture.” I snapped a photo on my phone and showed Juni.
“Holy shit they are the same.”
“What?” Jake was lost. It was kind of funny.
“Look at our eyes there the same.”
“oh shit they are.” Then Juni’s eyes went back to normal.
“Look there back to normal.” I smiled.
“Cool! My eyes change color.” Juni flashed a cheesy smile. Jinxx came into the room with everyone’s stuff and luckily no food. He saw Juni and tossed everything to the floor.
“Juni!” Jinxx came over and hugged Juni.
“Jinxx!! I missed you so much. I’m sorry I didn’t come to get help. I didn’t plan for this to happen.”
“It’s okay. Jake texted what happened. But he didn’t tell me you’re awake. He told me what your mom told him.”
“I guess Jake wanted to surprise you.”
“Well it worked. How long have you been up?”
“Awhile.”
“Jake has a surprise for you.”
“What is it?”
“Jake!” Jake came into the room with Trixy in his arms. She was squirming around and licking his face.
“TRIXY!!!!” Trixy barked and jumped out of Jake’s arms and into Juni’s lap.
“Hey Trixy did you miss your Auntie Juni?” Trixy licked Juni’s face and wagged her tail.
“That’s a yes from Trixy. I love you Trixy.” Trixy rolled around and jumped off the bed and ran to Jake’s feet.
“She missed Daddy too.” Juni laughed. Jinxx passed her some sweats and one of my shirts. Sammi went to the bathroom with Juni to help her get changed. CC passed Jinxx 2 tacos and some fries. All CC does is sleep, eat, and play drums. I mean yeah he does other stuff but those are the three things he ALWAYS does and whines about.
"I'm going to crash. It's 9 and I want to go home as soon as possible." Juni yawned and everyone murmured in agreement. I lay down with Juni, Jinxx and Sammi took the bed next to her CC and Jake took the couch while Trixy lay across them. Andy got the recliner.
“G’night Ashy.” Juni softly spoke.
“Night Ju Ju.” Juni smiled and cuddled into my chest. CC was the first to pass. Next was Jake, Juni, and Sammi. Then it was Jinxx, Trixy and Andy. I was the last to fall asleep. This was a good day. I hope tomorrow is just as good.
