My Immortal Love

Raven woke the following morning and found that CC had made his way onto the floor beside Ashley's bed. She tried to get out of the bed carefully and quietly but in the process of putting her foot down, thinking she had stepped over CC's hair, she accidentally stepped on his hair.

“Ow! Raven that hurt!” CC shouted and he rubbed the top of his head.

“I'm sorry...I didn't mean to...” Raven shrank away, tearing up that CC had yelled at her even though he may not realize that he had done so.

CC felt his hair and realized he hadn't washed out the hairspray from it and looked at Raven. “Oh Raven, I'm so sorry for yelling. I'm going to go wash my hair and then I'll come down to meet you for breakfast ok? Everything you need to make breakfast is in the cabinet and the fridge, feel free to anything you like.” He stood up and left for his room to gather clothes for a shower.

Raven went to the kitchen to fix everyone a decent breakfast of pancakes, eggs and sausage with fruit juice. “Now..where do they keep their sausage..” She looked in the freezer and found small pack of smoked sausages and set them in the sink, she looked in the fridge and got out the eggs and orange juice. “Now for the pancake mix, with the way these boys travel..they must use quick mix...”

After finding the pancake mix, Raven set on her task to make breakfast and started the sausages in the oven. “My ipod survived, time for some music while I mix up the pancake batter.” She dug around the junk drawer and found a pair of earbuds, put them in and hit random on her ipod and stirred the batter to the drumbeats of Faithless.

“Time to turn over the sausages and start frying up the pancakes.” Raven opened the oven, turned the sausages and the turned on the stove to wait for the skillet to get hot.

"Smells good in here! Whatcha cooking?" Ashley came down the stairs without a shirt on, drying his hair with a towel. "Do you need any help cooking?"

"Pancakes, sausage, eggs and orange juice and no, I don't need help cooking." Raven flipped the first two pancakes over and she turned off her ipod. "How did you sleep?"

"I slept ok, since CC ended up on the floor where you were sleeping, I decided to steal his bed, how he sleeps on such a hard mattress is beyond me. Have you seen my vest, the denim one?"

Raven finished the pancakes and pulled the sausage out of the oven. "A quick scramble for the eggs and breakfast will be done. Guys, breakfast is nearly ready!"


Andy, Jinxx, Jake and CC ran to the kitchen from all areas of the house. "Did someone say breakfast?"

"I did, sit down and get ready to eat. I have to hurry and try to catch the bus to the library. I want to do some research on what happened the other night." Raven served the guys their breakfast and washed up the few dishes that were on the counter.

"If you need some bus fare, I can give you some change. Also...do you need something to wear, I'm sure we can put together something for you until I can get you out to the mall." CC said with a mouth full of pancake. "Also, what is in this syrup you put on mine? It's great!"

Raven looked a little embarrassed that she was without clothing. "Thanks...I..really don't know what to say other than I am really embarrassed, and it's not syrup..it's blood and Andy has some too."

"That's right..we're vampires. I thought it was a crazy dream but when I went to brush this morning I saw my fangs." Andy said with no sound of freaking out, a tone of acceptance. "But CC is right, I'm sure we all have something we can lend you until one of us takes you shopping."

"Sure, you can wear my best jeans, we look similar in size. I'll go get them." Jake got up from the island counter and went to his room just down the hall to look for his jeans.

"You can wear my Deviant vest, also, I can do a bandage wrap for you because most of our tank tops have the deep tear sleeves and on your slender frame...wouldn't cover much." Ashley put his plate in the sink. "Let me go get the larger wrap bandages and I'll see you in my room."

"And you can wear my bandanna or my boots, whichever you prefer." CC made himself another plate and kept on eating.

"Pick any of my earrings or necklaces, I think we might even have an old box of band merch around here somewhere." Andy poured himself some juice and looked in the under-stairs closet. "I also have some eyeliner you can use."

"I would really like to do your hair. I have this brush that is like magic, it gets the hair really smooth and shiny..kinda like satin." Jinxx whipped out his favorite brush and sat it on the counter.

Raven just kind of stood there, shocked that these guys who only just met her, are treating her with such kindness and caring. "I..I need to go see Ashley." She ran upstairs where she Ashley waiting to wrap her bandages.

After an hour or so of wrapping, brushing and fitting, Raven was ready to go to the library. "Ipod, earbuds, bus fare...and an offering. See you guys later!" Raven left the house and hopped on a bus which she knew would take her right to the library.

Raven paid her fare and scrambled off the bus once it pulled to a stop in front of the library. Once inside Raven looked for the bookshelf on Greek Mythology, after looking she went up to the front desk. "Could I possibly see Priestess Remora"

"Do you have the heart of Eros?" The clerk at the front desk flashed her pin of Nyx holding a crescent moon.

"I believe I do..." Raven took off the ring she had always held dear and showed it to the clerk who let her behind the desk.

"Hello? Priestess Remora?" Raven looked around the dark room that was hidden below the library for a sign of the Priestess who she figured could let her use the portal to Otherworld.

"Hello Daughter of Nyx, how can I help you?" Priestess Remora emerged from the shadows and smiled kindly.

"I need entrance to Otherworld. My friends and possibly I are in trouble and I need to speak with Nyx." Raven explained briefly her situation and Remora led her to what looked like a giant ornate mirror.
"This will take your spirit to Otherworld, follow the starlight path and it will take you to Nyx's dwelling." Remora handed Raven a cup with a floral liquid inside, "But first you must drink this, it's Oleander Tea. It will put into a deep slumber while your spirit travels."

Raven drink the tea and in moments she was deep asleep.

In the mirror Raven (her spirit) was standing in front of three different paths but only one drew her eye, the path made from pure starlight. "Ok, she said follow the starlit path and I will find Nyx...well here we go." She stepped foot onto the path and started walking.

After what felt like hours, but really might have been a few minutes, Raven came upon a clearing in the woods.

"Welcome my daughter, to Otherworld." A pale , dark haired women came from behind a tree and smiled at Raven. "What has brought you to my realm? You have not died, but I sense something troubles you."

"Something does trouble me, but it is a long story..sort of." Raven opens the pouch she had tied to the belt that Jinxx had lent her. "I also brought you something, it isn't much.."

"Raven, it's perfect. No matter how big or small, I welcome all gifts from my children, now tell me what troubles you." Nyx took the pouch from Raven and they walked together while Raven explained what happened on Halloween Night. "I could feel dark magic stirring but I was unaware of how much there really was...I know about your friends and I am willing to give them my blessing, now go home, rest for this will not be the last time we meet my child."

Raven crossed her arm over her chest. "Thank you Nyx." She left back down the trail and came back to the glass of the mirror, fizzled away and woke up in the real world.

"I wonder what Raven found out...." Andy inquired to his band mates who were sitting around the living room playing video games. "Take that Jake!"

"Come on Andy, that's not fair, you got that magic booster!" Jake kept pressing the buttons on his controller. "No idea about what she found out but I'm sure she will tell us."

"Indeed I will, but first I need something cold to drink." Raven sat on the stairs since they were closest to the doorway and took the glass of ice water that was handed to her. "Thanks, basically Nyx told me that she sensed the dark magic but was unaware of how much there was..and she has given all of you her blessing, which is important for Andy and CC because without it, your bodies would reject the change and you would die."
